I am saddened to hear Davide closed. Despite what happened in the past, it seemed like it had a promising future with Frank's passion reignited, and Anthony clean. 😔
Do you know when they closed? Was it shortly after this episode, or did they last a few years afterwards? Gordon filmed an episode at a restaurant that was local to me (Levanti's in Beaver, Pennsylvania) and they were too far gone to past as American Bistro. They closed their doors before the episode even aired. I took my date there back in 1999 before we went to our homecoming dance and it was so dark in there, but the food was great back then.
Most of the restaurants on this show closed not long after the episode aired, didn’t even survive a full year. Cus most of them were far beyond saving before gordon came.
Me too. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. People are generally so judgemental regarding addiction. One of the reasons I like Gordon Ramsay so much is that he doesn’t judge addiction. This one made me cry and I cry probably twice a year. Amy’s Baking Company if anyone is interested will make you cry with laughter. I have absolutely no sympathy for that couple. Sympathy for the staff only.
11:58 it would have been more constructive to assess the process and resulting taste of the dressing. I'm sure from that point on, the lettuce was dried
the whole menu is gonna be changed anyways, so you might as well shit all over it while you have the chance. Same with the sauce on the ravioli "who gives a shit?! I found that other fault, sooo fuck you" says the savior angel that we all need to worship.... Gordon Ramsay is making a TV show for his own benefit and it's way past time for people to wake up about that
@@456puff lmao, I don't hate him. Believe it or not but but I can engage with a reality TV Show without hinging my personality on it. What I'm talking about if you read my comment a bit slower maybe, is people pretending like he is the second coming of christ, when really the show is highly exploitative. That lack of media literacy is kinda concerning. I'm sure he's a nice guy or whatever but he's there to make money - and he made a lot of it on the back of these failing businesses
@@frankstnable Oh, I understand now. I do agree with you, but I want to point out that a lot of the places he went to were already too far in debt. Some of them closed before the episode even aired because of the debt (Leila's) or were seized by the state for not paying taxes (Chappy's). Idk how much input he actually had in picking the restaurants he went to, though.
@@456puff Yeah totally, that's fair. I think a lot of it also comes down to these owners being completely burned out already. Though none of that ever gets explored in the episodes, right? All of them have to end on the 'happily ever after' notion that makes the watcher feel good about the whole ordeal

This place was sold in January 2014 and closed in May 2014
The only comment shame it’s not positive news

Two years? Got all the time in prison.
I hope Frank is still clean ❤

@@EliseStaples that was "Amy's BARKING Company" 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣
Seriously underrated comment 😂@@milijanatomanoska
Why do people think they can just jump into the kitchen and start cooking without training 😮
