So to be completely fair to the Y62, its un tuned and has gearbox issues which was making it slip and not make full power.
This video is just a shit take on some makes its not meant to be series or nasty in any way so please keep things nice as its all just a bit of fun.
A tuned supercharged 62 would smash the 200 we all know that, but ilia was a good sport and was willing to play along for the sake of the video.
But Ray was lapping up the win lmao.
We are all great mates and in no way think anyone is better then another because of a stupid race.
Just wanted to make that clear to EVERYONE

I have patrol 400 n my brother land cruiser , no way that lc could be better than y62 even retail prices r so similar. Time is over for lc so far in the arab gulf for being the only one .

Both very capable vehicles with the right drivers. As much as I'm a LC fan, that pootroll does sound bloody good.

That LC sure moved - the unichip V8 oil burner is certainly worth its salt 👌🏾 would love to see what that ‘Trol petrol V8 would do with a chip ...it sounds frikkin divine 🤘🏽
It wasn’t fully tuned ( the patrol ) it is now and it’s pushing out 300kw on 35” tyres. It’s impressive.

If I didn't see it on video I wouldn't have believed it. I did notice the Snoozer had the lower track both times. You should have swapped over. I call rematch!!!! Or.... we race up the Mt Cole hill. haha

Looks like you have put a cross country intercooler on, did you wire the fans in full time or through adjustable temp switch
Not the cross country one. It’s a Jonny tig.
Currently running the fans permanently but I am going to wire in a switch so I can turn them on and off.

Ok, I installed the cross country and put in a mishimoto really controller, though I bought the probe but should have got the threaded temp sender, kinda don’t like how you have to jam the probe in the core
Unfortunately cross country don’t tap a thread which is stupid so will have to pull off to thread the tank end
The drag race was from two different runs. TBH, I had no I idea the y62 is as good as the l200. I've been looking it up recently, and cant find a solid definition as to what makes it worthy. If you dont mind me asking, what makes it special off road and durability wise?

Both cars are great. It just comes down to personal preference
I have always thought that comparing the petrol 5.7 Y62 to a 200 TT 4.5 diesel not really an equal comparison. You need to find someone with a Lexus 5.7 and do a comparison with the Y62. I'm sure there would even be a few super chargers fitted out there. That would be an interesting review.

The only thing I’ve ever seen this cruiser do remotely well, all he needs to do to show the patrol is better is drive up a hill, any hill, the 200 can’t climb to save its life

Dude this is cool and all but I wouldn't be putting this on is TH-cam. Basically filming street racing as beaches are public roads. Just saying🤷♂️
Well I guess it’s a good thing my car isn’t the one in the race then.
We stayed under 100kph which is the speed limit on the beach so no laws were broken.

What a silly / stuiped comparison.... supercharged already overpowered Nissan against a chip which is just a average upgrade diesel and over a litre less .... put a. Supercharged American LC against it ,,,, then its all over for the Nissan 🤣🤣🤣.....

Australian 4x4 Adventures yes , l watched it and my mate has a 62 , and it’s supercharged, it almost wheelstands , you can’t compare the 2 , apples and pears , l like how your having fun , but a real comparison would be pet verses pet .. and same literage... l have a 200 also , no chip but awesome anyway and have also had Nissan’s in the past until they dropped a diesel from there patrol line up... ended it for me and many others.. anyway all good ..
Mark Davies the cruiser is up by about 45% in power and torque over standard with “just an average” chip. A 5.7 would be nice, and the extra low gears of the 8 speed too, maybe one day🤷♂️

This is 100% true, its impossible to keep everyone happy. But keeping everyone happy wasn't my goal with this video, it was just a little piss take at an unfortunate situation for the Y62 lol.
Im good mates with ilia and he had a laugh about the whole thing.
I do find it funny that others take it SOOO seriously when even the ppl involved are just doing it for a laugh,

Give me a Diesel V8 any day! It will last much longer than the Y62, despite the Nissan having a better exhaust note.
