Yo just to say to Alex that he can not draw two cards from a commander equipped with skullclamp if he send it back to the command zone. That's because sending back a commander to the command zone is a replacement effect. So, in this case, his commander never died and he doesn't draw two cards.
Affinity For Commander I am considering creating my own gameplay channel with a few friends on a seperate channel. I would appreciate a few pointers, if it is not too much trouble. Thanks if so!
I would plan everything - how you're going to record it, how you're going to edit it, the cost of equipment, where you're going to record it, etc. You can never be too prepared! Also, editing takes a lot longer than you would think! Let me know when you upload your first video! - Martin.
I now have another excellent channel to watch edh on. I love this video format and your commentary sounds like something straight out of westeros. Epic!
Thrasios and Tymna weren't the reason why Alex went off that much. They were just card draw engines. The real problem comes from the rest of the table not having any removal that could've taken care of Mind's Dialation or Skullclamp. I mean, Skullclamp entered the battlefield here 1:50 and Mind's Dialation here 8:39, both were left untouched until the very end.
Same. Even though it wasn't broken crazy combo, everyone else seemed to ignore the 4-color value train that was Alex. Really fun to watch though. Observing how others play, their threat assessment, etc., has been really helpful when I actually go to play myself. It's a fun game trying to predict who will win within the first few minutes- it's surprisingly not as hard as it seems.
I'm surprised that the Thrasios-Tymna deck didn't win sooner, since it was clearly the most powerful at the table. You guys have to run some artifact/enchantment removal. It can't be that Alex's Mind's Dialation stays on the board for that long. I mean - Nature's Claim, Disenchant, Reclamation Sage, there are so many options. The only target removal cards that could have destroyed/exiled it were cast by Alex himself (Abrupt Decay, Vindicate and Mortify), further emphasizing that his deck was superior.
Such a sick control game. Lol. Fair though. That's why I took craterhoof out of all my edh decks. It's just a one card win most times. Nice commentary guys. Thanks a bunch.
Alex you have a lovely voice. Good editing work. Thank you for saving my time. Also I like that your guys decks are very good, but not turn 4 combo nonsense with $8000 decks like lab mainiacs
Im 3 years late but I must know where did he get the Tresserhorn? I’m building him rn and have been scouring the internet for a custom one and haven’t had any luck
I haven't seen Neil in quite a while, but I'll be sure to ask him next time out paths cross! In the mean time, you could try looking on our alter sleeves affiliate link for one 😁
I'd rather draw through my deck and get answers to disrupt opponents board state then go infinite hailfire for the win. In league i have to wait until turn 5 or i lose points. :(

Good catch! Alex says that he is very sorry! - Martin.
alain klein was coming here to mention this
So glad they changed this rule!
Ren actually was able to swing with the Goliath because Suspend grants Haste. Cheers!
Super! - Martin.

Affinity For Commander thank you, I appreciate the help.
No problem amigo! - Martin.

I'm so glad that you like our content! We've got something big in the works to celebrate reaching 500 subscribers! - Martin.
Just gonna say that you guys have done really well making the commentary be flush with the game play. Well done to you.
Thank you! Editing there videos takes such a long time, it's nice to see that it's worth while! - Martin.
Definately worth while! Keep up the good work.
Another Thrasios victory. To the surprise of absolutely nobody.
I called the Tymna and Thrasios deck to win before I even started watching. The strongest cEDH commanders are no joke. Fun archenemy game I suppose

Craterhoof behemoth is an incredibly powerful card! Possibly one of the strongest cards in the format! - Martin.
7:24 this isn't your average, everyday darkness. This is.... advanced darkness
The sun was being very uncooperative :P I will see what I can do to prevent this happening in future videos! - Martin.
I love mind's dialation.
It is a very powerful card! - Martin.

Thank you! Alex knows that his voice is awesome (but he still loves being complemented on it)! - Martin.
Love old cards like lord of the tresserhorn
He is a really cool commander! 😁
Great video and great game as always!
Why thank you! - Martin.
Two rifts and a minds dilation is to much value to overcome I think. I'm sad though that my girl Breya didn't do more. Good video though.
Thanks! Breya will get her revenge soon! - Martin.

@@AffinityForCommander appreciate it I’ll check it out
Its the second victory for thrasios and tymna hahaha however i am a big surrak fan, good game
Game was actually fun to watch despite the snooze fest that are Thrasios and Tymna.
They are a ridiculously good pair of creatures! I don't think that we will be using them that often given the feedback we've received! - Martin.
I'd rather draw through my deck and get answers to disrupt opponents board state then go infinite hailfire for the win. In league i have to wait until turn 5 or i lose points. :(
Let me guess. Thrasios and tymna win? Ugh.
The video got pretty dark around the 9 minute mark, making it more difficult to see
Yea, natural lighting can be a bit of an issue for us! We will see what we can do in the future! - Martin.
