Having the dd3 on adds to the oscillation of his feedback. At least that's what I do. To get that stinkfist intro I do boss eq, dd3, bf2, and wah toe down. Be close to the amp, and volume swell into it. When the flanger takes off into Twitty bird land, I turn off the dd3.
@@Auspices1349 I have it in the effects loop. I'm doing a slight level boost, slight cut on the low frequencies, bumping mids (not too crazy tho), and slight bump in highs.
@@Auspices1349 pause at 2:21 to see Adam's eq settings. He's playing much louder and a different rig than I am but it might help. th-cam.com/video/r5pbOtNyH64/w-d-xo.html
What’s the setup here? I’ve been trying to get his feedback sound for ages and you got a really close, awesome replication of it. I’d love to know what pedals ya got.
Adam doesn't use the tube screamer, he probably uses the DD3 and a coin with which he scratches the G or B string at the point where he gets the right stinkfist beginning pitch and then he bends it and disables the delay when the song kicks in. Having a lot of volume helps him but hey, he's in a live situation, you can use a tube screamer or a feedback pedal to get the same effect at a lower volume.
I've redone the board since then. The tube screamer sits after the wah in front of the amp. The delay and flanger are in the fx loop. Adam runs all of his pedals in front of the amp though

What do you use for the EQ settings? Just using it as a boost? I could never figure out how Adam is using the EQ pedal.

yeah, the wah adds stuff to the feed, just discovered that recently
This is so sweet dude!!!
Nice socks dude!
Do these pitch oscillations in the feedback happen because of the flanger?

Boss GE-7, Boss BF-2, Ibanez ts-9 tubescreamer

Hi how loud the amp must ve?
Is that green Ibanez pedal a delay? If so why didn't you use the DD3
It’s a TubeScreamer
