Hey Toby! THANKS for watching and the kind words - MUCH appreciated. That first demo is near and dear to my heart in that it was a heartfelt reaction to the amp, so I really appreciate your taking the time to share both your reaction and thoughts on the tone - and RIGHT?!? I picked up the Les Paul and amp was like, "Yeah, I got this!" Happy Holidays and THAKS, again:)
Hey! First off, thanks for watching... ditto for the kind words - in my own way I do get to showcase these AMAZING amps, so again, thank you for your kind words - appreciated:)
Hey Eric! Thank you and AWESOME - what an AMAZING amp - I know what you're doing for the holidays - WAKING THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!! Happy Holidays - Boogie, on!!!
@ Lol, absolutely waking the neighbors 🤘🏻I’m using a PowerHouse, so I can control the impact of my disturbance and it’s necessary because I haven’t been able to stop playing the amp since I got it 👍🏻
Starch! THANK YOU, that guitar is my baby... and that demo was for me another special moment where the amp informed and inspired me to play something that I wouldn't have otherwise. Appreciate your watching and taking the time to jump in on the comments, especially on that demo - Happy Holidays to you and yours:)
THANKS KRYSTOF - appreciated. Yeah, dinosaurs still roam the earth - haha! REALLY appreciate the sentiment and kind words - Cheers to you AND Happiest of Holidays to you and yours:)
What a great demo of the RI again! Keep them coming! Thank you I have mk3, jp2c, triaxis and electradyne. But great way I show the separation of the 2 mk series.
Hey Prestige! You got some 'boxes' I'd love to check - sweet collection... when I think, "Triaxis..." I kind hear reverb and echo in my head as if some announcer is saying, you really need this, you know you do!" I've yet to actually play through one, sob sob! Ditto on the Electra Dyne... for now:) In case, THANKS for watching AND for taking the time to jump in on the comments:)
Chris! Hello again my friend. THANKS, as always for watching, and RIGHT?!? Even with the same 'base settings' this amp is unbelievably versatile. Crazy to think the design is 40 years old!!!
Yo TMAN! Hey - appreciate your watching AND taking the time to share your kind words. THAT is a MIM Player Tele that I put a an Evertune bridge on - other than that it's totally stock and I LOVE - glad to hear you dug it as well. THANKS, again and Happiest of Holidays to you and yours;)
Hey Nuno! THANKS for the kind words and suggestion. I REALLY love this format, not 100% that is the best way to demo every amp, but I REALLY appreciate, the well, appreciation. And... there's a Jose modded JCM 800 here that is BEGGING for a demo. Thanks again and Happiest of Holidays to you and yours;)
I have a JP2C. I don’t need a 2C+, but I kind of want one. I don’t know if push/pulls are enough of a difference spring 4K. But Doug certainly makes a deep case for consideration. I appreciate you bro.
It's not just the push pulls. Its also that the IIC+ RI is Simulclass and wired in Triode function for the power section. The JP2C is based on the Class A/B HRG which is hard wired to Pentode function for the power section. The power amps will have a fundamentally different feel.
@ I certainly appreciate the physical differences, but is it that much of a departure to justify a $4K difference? Or is it just a slight feel difference? The tones I hear on every clip sound vastly similar.
@@michaeledwards7088 Some people (me included) love the Simulclass sound and feel, plus on the IIC+ you can run a mix of 6L6 and EL34s which some people swear by. As to the price, yeah it feels pretty hefty but they had to source parts that weren't currently in production so that definitely raises costs for sure. It's still a price that I'm considering selling my Mark V to purchase the IIC+ RI (seeing the whole reason I bought the Mark V is because I wanted the IIC+ mode which was a disappointment).
Another FRX user! LOL there are potentially DOZENS of us! Awesome V though. I've got one hopefully coming early next year as a project guitar and another FRX may be on my list. Not the cheapest upgrade out there but man it works awesome on my Tokai.
Hello again "Red"! FRX users unite... and yes, there are... dozens of us! Thanks for the love on the V, ditto on the Lizzy Hale Explorer th-cam.com/video/fH6ahbw2wWw/w-d-xo.html - loved you ran the OCD into the front end of the Knuckles - SO metal, crushing tone as well! And those Tokais are great guitars. Back in the day there was a store in the S.F. Bay Area called Leo's Music and they were bringing the Tokais over. Happy Holidays, I'd say keep on rocking, but I don't think you need any reminders to do that;)
I prefer the Mark III myself but it is impressive what they've managed to do with the IIC+ reissue. Shame a few of them have oscillation issues even at reasonable settings but this seems to be a minority defect as I've only seen 3 videos showcasing it.
Hey Pip! There a LOT to love about the Mark IIIs, and yes the reissue rocks - congrats!. Per the oscillation, I've seen the thumbnails, but have not watched the videos yet. I will add that the manual mentions that can happen on extreme settings, so my jury is out - I'll need to look at the settings and give it a whirl. In any case, thanks for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts - both appreciated - Happy Holidays to you and yours;)
Hey! First off, THANKS for watching and the kind words. I'm a HUGE Halfback (metal grille) fan - the one in my vid is vintage. However, the one in this vid th-cam.com/video/gAeB77f8ZTU/w-d-xo.html looks REALLY minty... hmm! Thanks again and Happiest of Holidays to you and yours!
Hey Merseybeat! The GREAT thing about 'this amp' is that that there have been a number of amps that included the DNA, but for other very good reasons brought their own things to the party. I was really fortunate to be able to pick up on 'OG' Mark IIC+ before the prices really skyrocketed. The RI is an AMAZING amp and I'm just floored. That said, thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts - BOTH appreciated;)
Well first off, I NEED a TriAxis, and that's a really clever way to run it. That said, there is an amazing experience of the way that this pre-amp and power amp work together this has its own magic. But at the end of the day, it's not about how you Boogie, right?!?
THANKS for watching! Got questions - drop 'em below! And like the first video in this series, there are chapter markers in the description:)
Hey Doug, so this thing can’t do the Master of Puppets thing right? Got it!
@@n0nyabznss It does:)
I described this video as a love letter you wrote to the IIC+. I stand by my statements ❤
Smitten to the core! Thanks my friend:)
What a FANTASTIC sounding demo and masterful playing Doug. Thank you my friend
Hey! MANY thanks for taking the time watch and share your kind words - THANK YOU my friend:)
Ten seconds in and I'm already wishing THIS was the official demo Mesa/Gibson released. Tight, focused, juicy, incredible tone.

Mesa Boogie should hire you to showcase all of their upcoming amps . AMAZING amp company full of employees allergic to dialing in any good tones.
I have a strong hunch that litigious addicted Gibson directed of all that and the Mesa Engineering team had no say about it.
