Brooke Pape I didn't like Chaol at all until I read Tower of Dawn. It's sooo good! It's very interesting and Chaol definitely grows on you. It is my favorite book from the throne of glass series.
He’s my least favourite character- but then I read the book. And the things that go down in that book mean if you don’t read it, you won’t understand TOG7! It’s TOG6 basically and it was fantastic!
I HATED Chaol. I really did. I felt the same as you about reading Tower of Dawn, but once I got into it I just fell in love with it, and you know... I like Chaol now. Maybe I REALLY like him, but I'll never admit that hahaha Anyways, you should read it

You shouldn't worry about Tower of Dawn, it's so good and Chaol gets so much character development! Queens of Geek is great! It's full of fandom references and I squealled every time I understood one :P

I finished Tower of Dawn today and I'm soooo in love with it! I never hated Chaol so I don't know if that has influenced my enjoyment but there are some revelations and other/new characters in this book that are amazing! Night of Cake & Puppets was a pretty good novella and I'm so happy that they have released a physical copy of it!
I definitely wasn't excited for Tower of Dawn cos chaol was always my least favourite character so I wasn't that interested in reading all about him and his adventures but my god did it shock me how bloody good it was! Now it's my second favourite book in the series and I have a new love for chaol and all the new characters like yikes such a good and unexpected book
