I just made this, its now cooling and setting. But I had a little taste from the pot and is so delicious. Allthough mine is not exactly. correct, because I bought the wrong pomegranate juice. The one I bought is only 33% juice and mixed with white tea and has also some sweetener in it but oh my its still delicious.
Thank you for the recipe. I went to Turkey and loved the Turkish delights there. The pomegranate one is delicious, as was everything else. How can I make other flavours like chocolate or nougat?
I used you exact measurements (except used citrus acid instead of tartar because i live in germany and people said it was a good substitude) and it was too soft and melted away when i cut it. Did i use too much/less heat maybe, because after i mixed evething it first was thicker than your mass and after became a bit more fluid than the mass youve shown in this video, thanks for the help in advance
Prazer Fabiana I would recommend you keep them in a fridge, tightly sealed with plastic wrap so no excess moisture gets to the delights if you live in a humid area😊
I just made this and same thing happened with me and its not humid here. I mixed cornnstarch and powedered sugar and in the fridge in a airtight container and within hours it had all gone wet. So i took all of them out and rolled them in coconut instead, much prettier too and no risk of the coconute dissolving hehe.
I made With the Same recipe, then why my delights are melting whenever i coat the sugar and corn starch in the end? please guide how to store without it melting?
make sure the water and sugar gets hot enough, a simple test is put a few drops in a bowl of cold water. It should get firm and make some drops. Another way is if you have a candy thermometer, make sure you hit about 235 or 240 degrees
No this isn't hakwa its so much chewy than that. IDK why so many indians keep boasting about their cuisine and just claim everything to be copied from theirs. I don't mean to hate indians just asking P.s I am not Pakistani
Long time ago, I met Turkish delights in Melbourne. In 2018 I tasted them in Istanbul.... the best are from Hafiz Mustafa😋🇹🇷

i think you should put it more time on low heat.(low heat but more time until thickened)
I made them, love it! But my powdered sugar dissolved, it became a liquid thing (pretty ugly). Idk why... does it have to stay on the fridge?
Prazer Fabiana I would recommend you keep them in a fridge, tightly sealed with plastic wrap so no excess moisture gets to the delights if you live in a humid area😊
mix some corn starch with the powdered sugar
@@COOKNCHALLENGE I did, I think the humidity here in brazil is just too high

Can we use pomergrante molasses instead of juice
yes you can, just add water in the same amount of juice.
I think the ones i made are too loose and is there anything i can do about it or will i have to throw it away
spread it on cookies, or on bread with some peanut butter...
@@COOKNCHALLENGE great thanks
How much sugar is a must?
As i prefere none..but as little as possible if it has to.
I like to taste the fruit not sugar
you have to put sugar otherwise the sugar syrup won't thickened
Hi,if i reduce the sugar can it affect the texture of the lokum?coz i find it 2 sweet
reduce the sugar syrup quantity. but it will take less time cooking
Making this with pine nuts tonight
If I wanted to make raspberry or lemon, do I just substitute the juice using the same volume?
yes 👌
Wonderful, the delight I get from amazon is so expensive.🍬
Can I use less sugar in this recipe and coat with corn starch instead of powder sugar? I want less sweet.
in this case you have to use gelatine powder.
how you make it more chewy like the original and not soft, jelly
please follow the same steps and recipe.
the more you cook, the more it gets hard and chewy
Hi, can I half this recipie?
yes sure
Mam, can we make without cream of tartar
yes you can. use lemon juice instead (80ml of lemon juice for every 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar)
I made With the Same recipe, then why my delights are melting whenever i coat the sugar and corn starch in the end?
please guide how to store without it melting?
it's probably because you did not boil them enough time to get firm and hard
@@COOKNCHALLENGE 60 minutes exactly i kept on stirring it occassionally, when it turned golden brown i pour the color n pistachios.
Maybe wait 24 hours next time? They will get more firmer.

Hi, Can I use less sugar?
no, because the sugar syrup wouldn't be thick
can i do it without cream of tartar

What is tartar ?
it's a stabilizer powder. (like baking powder / baking soda)
You can find cream of tartar beside. Baking powder and baking soda in the. supermarket.
