Vase and MoonWalk are my favorite ones. You did an amazing job on this! This is my first time listening to the "un-midi-fied" version. I really like vase. It makes me think I'm going on a adventure. I mean, even when i go on long walks i think of the vase track. Good Job!
this is really really well done. the ENTIRE soundtrack no less. i cannot do anything but love this amount of effort. really underrated/obscure soundtrack in general, and i love to see people doing it justice.
"How do you know Anasazi were here when these are Egyptian ruins" the game itself tells you that it's strange how there is Egyptian architecture in the Mojave desert
It'd be sad if people thought Featherfall and Birdsong were exclusive to Ancient Aliens, since both were featured first in the megawad Interception (and later featured in Back To Saturn X). It's understandable though why they would appear again here since Stuart Rynn does allow for his music to be used elsewhere, and regardless of origin I think both covers sound great here not to mention the rest of the soundtrack. :)

I think I read somewhere that Stuart didn't reuse tracks for Ancient Aliens 'cause he's so generous, but because he himself was too lazy to make that many new tracks

Love it. Hate to be *that* guy but I do have some criticisms. 45:42 doesn't sound nice at all to be brutally honest, I assume it's because it's two guitars playing the same notes so they stack together to give that unpleasant effect. It might have been better to remove the second guitar track and add the delay directly to the main one. I only bring this up because Birdsong is also in Back to Saturn X, so you may well end up working with the song again, so this might be something to bear in mind. Also it's kind of a shame how the main melody in Imaginarium got kind of nuked. But as a whole, this is really fantastic, great work! Desk Lamp, Moonwalk and Yuletide are probably my favourites here.
Thanks! Yeah, I kinda messed up Birdsong, but you can pretend it's a microtonal metal song... Yes, the effect is caused by two guitars playing the same note (even though they use different amplifiers, so it should blend together nicely... it doesn't). In Imaginarium the lead tune is a bit quieter than it should, but I didn't like how very loud it was in the original, either, and here it doesn't seem so bad to me. On the other side of things, I made the organ in Colliding Nebulae way too loud (which I've noticed only after it being pointed out by someone else)...
Surprised nobody has mentioned Trapeze. The song is already is great and this cover is incredible. Perhaps a controversial choice with a rather harsh, almost dissonant use of synth in place of the marimba (?) sample on the original. I think its an inspired choice.
Your work is really good, I could learn a lot from your mixing and production. One thing you will eventually need to do is learn to play and record electric guitar as synth guitars with distortion sound bad. You can record guitar cheaply with a rocksmith cable for $40. Then you dont even need to play perfectly as programs like FL Studio and Adobe Audition (many others as well) can stretch the time without changing the pitch.
For sampled instruments, various Kontakt libraries, some standouts being Orange Tree Samples' flutes and guitars, CineSamples' percussion and a smothering of ethnic instruments from EWQL Ra. For synths, mainly u-he Zebra 2 (maybe Diva too but I'm not sure) and stock FL Studio synths.
Absolutely amazing cover, for once i thought AA ost can't get any more happy and joyful, oh boy was i wrong, your renditions of my favorites "Moonwalk" and "Yuletide" absolutely blew my mind

Featherfall is seriously underrated, like almost no one talks about it, it's possibly my faviroute out of all of them.
