I'm kinda sad you haven't watched the series to know anything...if you on't know Zuko and Azula are Ozai's children you clearly didn't watch the very first episode...or many others where Zuko is thinking about his path and if it's okay to keep on. Iroh by the way is his uncle and brother of Ozai. His family died while he was leading Ozai's war and he stoped after his wife and son was killed in his absence. Zuko was the only one who really showed affection and even Iroh did notice that Ozai isn't a good/nice father so when Ozai banished Zuko to find the Avatar, Iroh stayed by his side and is softly leading him to become a good/nice/friendly firelord when Ozai was defeated. So...they are really bondet together. Azula was defeated many times from Team Avatar but she escapes everytime, by the help of her two friends...one named Mai is Zukos girlfriend and helps him to know where she is or what she is planing to do next. The last scene is important because Azula's goal was set from her father Ozai to find and catch Avatar before Zuko does so she becomes next firelord. She was professional trained in firebending that's why she has blue fire and the lightning from the start. Spoiler, Iroh doesn't teach Zuko to bend lightning but to redirect it by using waterbending technique. So Zuko doesn't get roasted by his sister like Aang did...😅 Aang survives the attack because Katara is using holy water. (she did get it by a Quest before to revive someone) It's healing and he stays alive but the damage of his ability to get into the ghost world is disconnected and he he really need to repair that first. I guess make the Game 100% from the series would have take you to play that crap game way to long and many more buggy archievements...and they should have put more time into development rather then gold diggin...yeeeaaahhh 😅
As a fan of the show, it’s really funny to see how little the game explains about the plot. They failed to make a game that would explain itself to people who’ve never seen the show, but they also made it a disappointment to the show’s fans. Truly the best of both worlds.

i don't think anyone mentioned it but at like 12:50 aang is in the avatar state where he can channel the power of all the previpus avatars but he can't control it super well in the beginning. while in that state, azula uses her lightning bending to attack him and he like, ends up unconscious / in a coma state for several months ( could be longer?? it was enough for him to grow hair hahaha ). i promise you the actual show is so good and explains everything

This game is actually facinating for all the wrong reasons. There are moments (including, ironically, those weird cutscenes) in there where it is carried by Avatar's gorgeous 2-D art style, only for it to revert to what genuinely reminds me of Simpsons Hit and Run or the Futurama game-all with the weird artistic look of taking characters designed to look distinctive in 2-D and turning them into 3-D models.
Funny thing is. That missing info you used the wiki for is partly told during the first episode! More detail gets shown later but the show is about the characters. Also reason you fight Azlula and Zuko a lot is because you have to in the show. Aang doesn’t kill and it is a major part of his character and makes the ending better. All his past lives tell him to kill the king but he doesn’t and find a way to spare his life but not let him do any more damage

I was half expecting you to get softlocked from the platinum like another person (who you actually mentioned in this video (sorry not wanting to rewatch at the moment to get the time stamp)) as he got literally softlocked by a gate that can only be opened from the other side... And he was on the side you GO THROUGH, because free roam was such a piece of crap in game.
Yeah luckily I saw this before attempting the platinum. I was very cautious about the glitch and made sure to 100% the beginning part before moving to that gate!

Fun fact about the Sokka’s boomerang achievement due to there being a boss that requires the boomerang to beat for every hit the game no matter what gives you the achievement for killing an enemy with the boomerang due to the last hit on the boss being the boomerang.
I think one of the problems with the game is it banks on the player having watched the show which is why it’s such a letdown since it should assume it’s own identity instead of just trying to be the show

png scenes don't bother me as someone that plays visual novels. However I expect that if a game cuts out animated scenes and voice acting, it's so that the budget can be spent on gameplay, level design, and good writing. But not here, they cut those, cut corners on the rest, and shipped it.
The two characters that you had to use for the co-op trophy, Iroh is Zuko's uncle. They travel almost everywhere in the show, and Iroh influences Zuko's character development quite a bit.

I'm not a avatar fan by any means but something i realized for sure, it's that as an adaptation of the anime it's really bad, like there's no context for anything that happens in the game, reminds me of the berserk 2016 anime, it's just that in this case it doesn't look like utter shit (sometimes)

This game makes the story abridging in a lot of DragonBall Z games, look like Demon Slayer: the Hinokami Chronicles. With the later telling key moments of the story quite well.
The Korra game developed by Platinum is still the best Avatar game. Even with its issues, I had a decent time with it. Too bad it’s delisted and was never released physically.
GameMill probably went out of their way to make the trophy list as tedious as possible to avoid repeating the infamous Xbox 360 ATLA game with the 2 minute 1000G.
Watching this game just made me realize how good the original animated show is at explaining things. I love the show, I think it's my favorite show of all time next to its sequal show, 'the legend of Korra'. Highly recommend watching both shows. This game will make a lot more sense if you at least watch the original last airbender, and the story is genuinely so good. It's a shame the game brushes past almost everything.

The Legend of Korea video game from a decade ago by PlatinumGames is still the best Avatar game we’ve ever gotten. Give it a shot if you haven’t, especially if you like Bayonetta.
Can we stop using softlock and hardlock in situations in which it does not apply? A soft lock is a situation, in which you can still play the game, i.e. moving your character, but you are unable to progress the game. A hardlock is generally a game freeze/crash. The character being locked into a direction after initiating an attack, is not a softlock.
Btw, the reason why aang gets so powerful during the final stage with ozai, is because during the fight with azula and zuko in the caverns at the end of book two, azulas lightning strike effectively blocked aang from using the avatar state. The lightning struck him in the back, leaving a scar, and when aangs back hit the wall during the ozai fight, a pointy piece of the rock hits the scar and triggers him back into the avatar state 👍
When will we be blessed with a GOOD Avatar game!? 😭 Respect for getting this finished, those collectibles looked shocking lmao. Despite the suffering, really enjoyed this one, the editing was on another level! 🔥

I must say, all things considered the environments don't look that bad considering the style they went with. I truly hope the development studio is able to escape their current publishers - because it's the publisher's mandates that forces the poor souls to heavily crunch their games. The potential is definitely there if they can bake their games in the oven for a bit longer. Probably helps that the game is more or less using* that sort of plastic-y character model art style, so they don't have to look incredibly realistic or accurate compared to something like the walking dead. Out of the BrokenMill Trilogy this might be the one I appreciate the most. XD the voice acting, the bugs, lack of context, and the dependency of needing to know the anime show to understand the game is pretty sad imo.

This Platinum took me over 3 Playtroughs because of the lvl ba sing se i got soft locked behind the gate 2 tims and i waited a month after release and they didnt patch it so i needed to do all over it again with 0 motivation but yeah Congrats for getting this Plat it's almost Impossible

As someone who's watched the show recently, loved it, and had no idea this game existed, this was beyond painful to watch. The fact that Sattire learned about the abusive father-son relationship between Ozai and Zuko, one of the central plot points of Zuko's character development across tbe entire series, by searching the wiki and not by the game itself made my jaw drop. Also, the fact that the game takes very important moments from the show, like Azula almost killing Aang and presents it in such a terrible way that you don't even understand anything of what just happened is just depressing. But the icing on the cake was how the game explains things so poorly that Sattire actually thought, throught the entire game, that Azula was an ICEBENDER 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Great video as always! I'm not a avatar fan by any means but something i realized for sure, it's that as an adaptation of the anime it's really bad, like there's no context for anything that happens in the game, reminds me of the berserk 2016 anime, it's just that in this case it doesn't look like utter shit (sometimes)

I love when a show about learning how to control you power gives you power without any kind of skill required. 10/10.
This game makes the story abridging in a lot of DragonBall Z games, look like Demon Slayer: the Hinokami Chronicles. With the later telling key moments of the story quite well.
The Korra game developed by Platinum is still the best Avatar game. Even with its issues, I had a decent time with it. Too bad it’s delisted and was never released physically.
GameMill probably went out of their way to make the trophy list as tedious as possible to avoid repeating the infamous Xbox 360 ATLA game with the 2 minute 1000G.
Watching this game just made me realize how good the original animated show is at explaining things. I love the show, I think it's my favorite show of all time next to its sequal show, 'the legend of Korra'. Highly recommend watching both shows. This game will make a lot more sense if you at least watch the original last airbender, and the story is genuinely so good. It's a shame the game brushes past almost everything.

This game’s absolute refusal to explain anything just makes it look like it’s only meant for fans of the show, but then it butchers the story and pacing so much that it’s frustrating for fans, too. I am impressed by the ineptitude. Also the almost complete lack of voice acting definitely helps non-fans to understand how to pronounce the names (“Toef” 😭 I don’t blame you at all since obviously the 2 seconds of voice acting never say her name, it’s pronounced like ‘cough’. Also Bumi is just Boomy in pronunciation)
For a game obsessed with puzzles it is rather underwhelming that unlocking bending elements is just ‘You got the fire bending! *Zelda item jingle* ‘. Even the Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, a nearly 20 year old game, has little training sessions when you learn a new element. Astounding.
Do you think GameMill has a checklist on a napkin somewhere for popular franchise games they make? Or better yet, I wanna see the factory assembly line with the gray krabby patty goo that they mold into semi-functional games.

The Legend of Korea video game from a decade ago by PlatinumGames is still the best Avatar game we’ve ever gotten. Give it a shot if you haven’t, especially if you like Bayonetta.
Can we stop using softlock and hardlock in situations in which it does not apply? A soft lock is a situation, in which you can still play the game, i.e. moving your character, but you are unable to progress the game. A hardlock is generally a game freeze/crash. The character being locked into a direction after initiating an attack, is not a softlock.
Btw, the reason why aang gets so powerful during the final stage with ozai, is because during the fight with azula and zuko in the caverns at the end of book two, azulas lightning strike effectively blocked aang from using the avatar state. The lightning struck him in the back, leaving a scar, and when aangs back hit the wall during the ozai fight, a pointy piece of the rock hits the scar and triggers him back into the avatar state 👍

I must say, all things considered the environments don't look that bad considering the style they went with. I truly hope the development studio is able to escape their current publishers - because it's the publisher's mandates that forces the poor souls to heavily crunch their games. The potential is definitely there if they can bake their games in the oven for a bit longer.
Probably helps that the game is more or less using* that sort of plastic-y character model art style, so they don't have to look incredibly realistic or accurate compared to something like the walking dead.
Out of the BrokenMill Trilogy this might be the one I appreciate the most. XD the voice acting, the bugs, lack of context, and the dependency of needing to know the anime show to understand the game is pretty sad imo.

This Platinum took me over 3 Playtroughs because of the lvl ba sing se i got soft locked behind the gate 2 tims and i waited a month after release and they didnt patch it so i needed to do all over it again with 0 motivation but yeah Congrats for getting this Plat it's almost Impossible
I luckily saw that issue before hand so I knew what to avoid but that sucks man. I would never touch this game again so I don't blame you for dropping it

As someone who's watched the show recently, loved it, and had no idea this game existed, this was beyond painful to watch.
The fact that Sattire learned about the abusive father-son relationship between Ozai and Zuko, one of the central plot points of Zuko's character development across tbe entire series, by searching the wiki and not by the game itself made my jaw drop.
Also, the fact that the game takes very important moments from the show, like Azula almost killing Aang and presents it in such a terrible way that you don't even understand anything of what just happened is just depressing.
But the icing on the cake was how the game explains things so poorly that Sattire actually thought, throught the entire game, that Azula was an ICEBENDER 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was pretty crazy playing this one with no prior knowledge 😭 It's clear the game was built with core fans in mind, leaving people like me confused with every cutscene

it's a good game if you set your expectations right. if you expect a ps2-styled simple game, and not a triple A title, you won't be disappointed.
with that being said, i still think Avatar fans deserve a truly good triple A game.
oh, and the 50-dollar price tag is ridiculous. you can buy it for like 5 dollars in keyshops though, and for that price i'd say it's worth it.

As a fan of the show it's so painful to see all of the best moments of the show being absolutely ruined with no context or explanation as to what is happening let alone why, EVERY fight with Azula and Zuko are from the show and far from the only times they fight, the fights in this game are some of the most important in the show as they are the fights where major character beats happen or massive revelations either for the audience and/or the characters happen.
The climax also sucked in the show though, they didn't really ruin that.
Makes you appreciate the work CyberConnect put in their naruto games.
