Good video, how do I know what cup size to use though? If I want a latte macchiato which pod size do I use?
Hi, Scott. Thanks. We're using the Nespresso Vertuo Alto mug in this video, with a 20 oz. capacity so we have lots of room for milk or flavored syrups. You'll find these on our website at a 25% discount with other select accessories.
Use a double espresso pod if you want a good machiatto it makes a nice size drink I would say about 9oz
Used to have the older Machine from years ago! With a bit of playing around you could program how much Milk to put in to meet the size of cups used! Wonder if you can still do this on the new model with the larger pods!

I thought you could store the milk container in the fridge. How can you do that if you have to clean it after each use? It seems like a pain to have to completely take it apart after each use. That cancels out the convenience of the integrated frother.
Any products that use milk, should of course be cleaned regularly, though, if you don't use all the milk and want to store the milk container in the refrigerator, you can do so.

Hi Jewel, we recommend using the clean function after every use and disassembling it to run it through the dishwasher several times a week.

If milk is too much can you press the coffee symbol to stop the milk in the cup or will this affect the automatic system to make the coffee ???
Just btw the milk carafe will stop working and the milk buttons wont light up if you dont descale the machine this bappened to me so be sure to watch the descale video cause the pipe for descaling for the milk is located on the back of the machine behind the water under this little tab... yeah i didnt know this and was so confused and also the milk buttons wont light up when connected until the machine is heated up.... i was so confused at first and then i ended getting the nicest lady on customer service that were american even yay! And got it all figured out i wish these things were told to people right away but they aren't anyway i hope my comment helps

Hello we have been having the same issue with our machine purchased in May. It frothed milk for a few weeks and then just stopped - buttons flashing but won’t do anything. We did all the troubleshooting except for descaling cause we thought it wouldn’t need that since it was so new? However I called today and someone told
me that it isn’t compatible with plant based milk?! I am really hoping this is not true. I am going to order the descale stuff and hope this fix it but after reading several comments ( we also have a flimsy milk

Hello, we're sorry to hear your machine is not meeting your expectations. Different milks will produce varying degrees of milk froth, and the higher the protein content the richer the froth. Plant based milks will produce froth that is less consistent. Please don't hesitate to give us a call at 800.562.1465 if you still have concerns after descaling your machine.

When making a coffee 7.7 ounces, and adding frothed milk afterwards, is there a way to control how much milk is dispensed?
Yeah just click the little cloud button again when you don't want it to dispense anymore it'll take like a second or two but it will stop so yeah you can stop where you like it
So I could make a double espresso cappuccino with the cappuccino button and a Vertuo double espresso capsule? That's my favorite coffee beverage and what size would I use for a double espresso cappuccino? Also, can I use oat milk instead of skim? Oat milk is known to froth well.
The Vertuo Lattissima brews espresso, double espresso, Gran Lungo, a full cup, Alto 12 oz. and Pour-Over Style, an 18 oz pour. The bar-code reading technology brews each capsule to the specific parameters.
All is nice but Latte Macchiato and Cappuccino are only lukewarm 😞

I like my cappicinno extra hot and weak so I make it in a large mug then add hot water. It also weakens the taste of full cream milk because I like skim milk taste but know that the organic full cream is better for me. Hope that makes sense.
Is it better to use a 230ml capsule as opposed to a 40ml espresso caspulse. I have just used the milk function for the first time with a 40ml capsule and a tiny amount came out. Thank you.

My machine will only do the coffee & the milk buttons won't come on Have taken it apart & washed all pieces as shown on video but still won't light up Just the yellow button beside the rinse button flashes Can can I fix this problem

Hi! Please do not use a machine intended for use at 110v at 230v as it can damage the machine. We strongly recommend ordering a machine intended for use at higher voltage.
The three buttons (foam, xx, cappuccino) don't light up at all and I cannot select any button, so I couldn't go through initial set up. I know the machine is on since the main on/off button is light up. What am I missing?
This happened to me as well you may need to descale it or have a faulty milk carafe connector

When I push the latte button it only gives me coffee 🤷🏻♀️ I have to use the foam button afterwards if I want milk….

Same problem in the United States. The latte button works for me and dispenses a ton of milk followed by the coffee. However the cappuccino button makes the coffee but never the milk.
