That'd be a better business idea anyway, rather than building in the same city & area that they were destroyed. Imo, I think putting a replica of the Twins in Chicago would be a good idea since we happen to have a lot of blocky, Manhattan-ish buildings in our skyline *and* a lakefront. It's rumored that even Ken Gardner suggested building in Chicago after his "Twin Towers II" plan flopped. There was a survivor story I listened to where he talked about his office near the top of the building and on foggy days he would just see a white blanket and the Empire State across the way and it was beautiful. He was on his way up when the plane hit and he ended up getting out.
My uncle was working in the North Tower and had luckily gotten out in time. That was such a scary day for us. Our family, including my aunt, had to wait several hours to find out if he was okay but finally the call came. Many of his friends and colleagues unfortunately were not as lucky 💔

My daughter loves the Twin Towers! She likes watching happy videos and images of them and not sad and heartbreaking stuff of them! She loves how they are twins and she enjoys calling them "The World Trade Center's Two Beautiful Twin Sisters!" This video made her very happy and she can see the towers playing in the clouds that are going through them! The Twin Towers everyday had a beautiful smile! 💙
articgoneape our school had a direct view of the towers in Jersey City..my teacher began by looking out of the window, and his reaction of course caught everyone’s attention. & at that time both towers had been hit, so it was strange in my mind how both towers were “on fire” . Our teacher to his credit tried to keep us away from the window, but there was no stopping us really .. after witnessing the collapse of the south tower I couldn’t bare anymore of what I was seeing & ran to the nurse’s office where I unsuccessfully tried to contact my dad. I stayed with a friend’s mom when we were released from school and eventually met with my dad later that day.

Currently live in NJ for 29 years. Seen them countless times from a distance & up close. But never crossed my mind to actually go inside and experience the observation deck, which I now totally regret. So I still feel totally bummed that they didn’t rebuild them.

I loved the Twin Towers, they have always been my favorite skyscrapers ever built. They still are even though they are no longer with us, I miss them everyday and will continue to miss them until my last breath. 9/11 cut me deep because of all those innocent people who died when the planes hit and when the towers collapsed. I was only 19 when that awful day happened and it broke my heart seeing everything that unfolded that day. The observation deck of the Twin Towers was a place where people could appreciate quietly and in peace, and the Windows On The World restaurant was classy and calm. I never saw them in real life, but when I see videos of people who did visit them, it looks amazing. If you go up the One World Trade Center, the "Freedom Tower", it's all just a show for tourists. The Twin Towers were truly something iconic.

The main thing that really changed immediately after 9/11 was security measures and people became more paranoid.
I wish those towers were standing on this very day with the people that worked their. I been to New York it doesn't feel the same when I went would be nice if I were to go on top of them. My mom was on the 5th floor for work, she got out and went down the stairs and took the bus, I wasn’t born yet because I was born 7 years after, she told me 3 years back when I was 8, I’m glad that she survived and also sad to every person, but at least they are in heaven meeting god and new and old friends in heaven also looking down on people.

I'll never get to know what people felt before 9/11/01. How it was to wake up every morning and see the twin towers every morning. I was born 8 years after this and I really wish I was there to see it before that day
I wish they just rebuilt them instead of replacing them with one building

My mom was on the 5th floor for work, she got out and went down the stairs and took the bus, I wasn’t born yet because I was born 7 years after, she told me 3 years back when I was 8, I’m glad that she survived and also sad to every person, but at least they are in heaven meeting god and new and old friends in heaven also looking down on people.
