As a owner of a normal Twingo RS, this is epic! Have seen the hole project on 133RS forum. Sick build! Only thing I miss in my twingo atm is the 6th gear...

I have a boosted jcw, i plan on getting an lsd in the future but with an open diff you get a lot of torque steer, and torque steer is ridiculously fun

EFI are great, had my supercharged S2000 mapped there. Really know their stuff

A Limited Slip Diff and Some bucket seats out the Megane and this thing would be perfect.
It's already got Twingo RS bucket seats in it. I have one and they're super deep already so it's probably not necessary
Mine is coming soon but with an r26 gearbox with slip diff and its forged with a turbo from megane 3 rs (its my tracktool so...) when its finished ill put some video :) i should put like 330 hp i guess, we will see on dyno

Ricky, I think every 3 months, so a season, you should get a airfeild and do a drag race with all of the cars or some you have featured over that time. No idea how much that would work out to, but kind of like those 'WORLDS GREATEST DRAG RACE' videos, I think it would be something that a lot of people would love to see. Like if you agree :D

I miss having a turbocharged car had loads growing up late teens early twenty’s from lancia deltas to intergrales renaults turbos escorts rs turbos even had a metro turbo which are extremely rare these days but this vid reminded me of just how absorbing the sounds in the car are and how it makes for a happy face 😊💯drive each n every time bless up Ricky good video man salute bro ps mans from Slough still back in the day so big up all my Slough man dem 👊

Massive thanks to Ricky for the reviewing my car on his channel . As you can tell we had a right laugh all day even in the wet. Car runs fine the map is aggressive that’s all just wants to be planted all the time . As you can tell Ricky enjoyed it . I used to have a 133 and I loved it aside from the driving position, pedals and the lack of power. This has got my interest haha

Currently having a 225 Megane engine fitted in my 197.
It’s half the cost buying a smashed 225, having someone fit the engine, do the electrics and fuel system in the 197 than having a Honda specialist turbo a FN2.
Having said that I’m happy with 260 ish bhp @ hopefully 290+ torque. If I wanted the 350+ you can get by turbocharging a K20, the costs would even up.
Great choice and still looks fairly modern (in the exterior)!

It's MAD how so many people throw shade on Renaults RS cars! Always come out with some 1960s BS like "How's the electrics?" I currently own the latest clio RS and it's great, it goes round corners like it's on rails, lift off oversteer on que, no surprises, car feels perfectly balanced, burbles on overrun, proper little driving car. I rate them
Jimmy King Lots of people still don’t generally know there’s a distinct difference between Renaults amusing reliability with electrics etc and the research and development that goes into the Renaultsport chassis over the standard models mate. It’s their loss really as they’re normally driving fords or audis and talking about good handling... 🙄

For tuning needs there’s a tuning facility with a dyno (rolling road) in my new home town Faringdon in Oxfordshire. It’s called dynorun RS. They’re supposed to be brilliant. They built a 600bhp a45 Amg and a couple of big power c63 Amg. They do all cars as far as I’m aware.

Firstly thing when I saw and heard the video my thought was this must be a Megane 225 engine. And the video confirms. They have a really distinct and phenomal sound.
The 225/230 and 250/265/275 engine sound the same... it's just that the 250/265/275 are mildly more uprated than the 225/230
I had a Gordini RS 133 fantastic car. I can only imagine what this would be like to drive. I can tell you the normal car is good fun

Can't tell if it's traction or fueling but you can hear it struggling

The breaking up is due to faulty ignition coils or injectors, I know from experience seen the same problem before
