I've tried hunting horn for the first using this build that you recommend, and damn it's true! Hunting horn is a beast. I think I missed half of my life not wielding this weapon since I'm a lance main since MH freedom Unite.

as a small tip on your sharpness management without Master's Touch, if you're able to do it of course, is to get those fins on the item wheel and use them right after a tenderizing attack from the clagger animation. the monsters stay still long enough for you to get the sharpen in safely, which isn't possible without the wheel as you'd have to sheath first in that case, where you don't have to do that from the item wheel.
I literally started using evade extender on my Switch Axe yesterday and absolutely regret never having used it! Its like suddenly nothing can hit you anymore and positioning became an absolute breeze, especially with the usually very limited mobility on the SA. Glad to see the skill getting some shine in your videos, keep up the good work! 🙌

I would! Because the great sharpness and affinity are common in builds anyways (handicraft & crit eye). And this thing packs a punch from the start. Not a heavy reliance on element either!
Absolutely you could go for a mix of rage brachy vaal hazak and whatever last piece fits you best to have a balance of dmg and survival. If you combine the recovery speed song and armor skill imunizer item hazak heals very well passively and extended recovery stacks on that and lasts about 2 minutes with horn maestro 2 for defensive skills hp boost and divine blessing are your friends.
this would be a great horn to pair up with Kirin's fey horn. in death, the remains of these mortal enemies team up against those who fear the raging sky full of gods might.
I've just started Iceborne a few days ago, and decided to try out the HH this time around (played mostly IG on the original MHW when it came out), because I don't like to play the same thing as most ppl do in video games. So far I'm having a blast, and I know Safi weapons are the shit and everything, but my god do I love this look and soundtrack. I'll probably just stick to this when I get the chance solely for those two reasons - I mean I still have to finish the storyline, and I'm on PC anyway so the angry monkey ain't there yet, but I now made it my goal to rock those drums Thanks for the video, keep it goin !
Extended Health Recovery is actually better than the Vaal set bonus, because it continues to be active even when you are taking tic damage such as being poisoned. Super amazing for mitigating the effects of these types of ailments. I personally like using Health Rec S. Everyone shits on it and I don't know why, it's an easy short set of notes, and performances are great attacks anyway. I just think it's nice to try to keep health topped off I guess. It's not a lifepowder substitute but it's not meant to be. Also would recommend at least a single level of Recovery Speed skill when using this songset. Makes a colossal difference to the effectiveness of the song of the same name. Even a single level makes a huge difference. Also been wanting to mention for ages that the Bazelreid Rooksearer got a song update a while ago so I think it sounds a lot better now. Still my bae horn honestly.

Do you find evade extender screws up the roll cancel after certain attacks? I do that a lot due to long animations but I find that evade extender sends me way out of range when the regular roll doesn’t. Yeah it’s great for avoiding attacks but makes roll cancelling harder, how do you mitigate that? I love EE on a lot of weapons but those weapons I don’t use roll cancelling.
I need the rooms help on this one. Using nothing but mixed sets in base world, I became dedicated to full sets in iceborne, to stop all my builds from being the same. However, I now find myself limited in what I can fight. So my question is, do you all swear by mixed sets of "meta" pieces?, or running full sets?
A mixed set doesnt *need* to be meta. Use whatever skills you enjoy having. I personally like a good mix of comfy and damage. Take my LS set for example. Masters touch with max crit eye, max agitator, max wex and max crit boost, but i also have speed sharpening and health boost maxed out. My SA set is more comfy than offensive with a bunch of evasions skills. Whatever skills you enjoy for the weapons that you use are what you should look for
Furious is one that you can use pretty much against anything. Raging's value kinda slants downward if you're facing a monster where all ailments negated isn't super necessary. If I HAD to pick one over the other to craft from a damage standpoint, it's Furious. BUT I'll find every reason I can to use the Ranging horn because it looks great, has great slots, awesome raw with built in purple and the utility of the song list. But per usual an attack up L hornis gonna be the damage winner. TL;DR if you're looking for damage, go Furious. If you want a powerful upgrade to Teostra's Musica, go Raging.

Evade extender is absolute ass on sword and shield, longsword, insect glaive, lance and gunlance. But with hammer and HH it’s the best shit ever
It is the best thing ever on gunlance too. It helps a lot in evading, positioning as well as closing distance.
