My team is average, although our coaches always move to United (Ten Hag, and last season Hake), and when you play an average team in FIFA it is better and more realistic to play.
Passing still is far too floaty on this game as well. eFootball allows far more freedom for manual passing players and the weight of the ball feels more real. There's so much wrong with eFootball, but dribbling and passing feel great. Shooting not as much, graphics are dated, not many modes available, online play sucks ass and all that is why that game is not as great. EA FC is better mechanically, but the gameplay still sucks ass by choice.
What EA has done is really mind blowing. Somehow they manage to get you back playing. I was apprehensive about it but the rush mode for some reason is fun to me. Even though there was volta before this is different n weird that i like it. Also playing SB the game is much slower which i prefer. Online is always the issue
I played a couple of hours of this trial and then as an experiment I went back to FIFA 17. 17 is waaaaaay better! It’s crazy how far this game has fallen.

I would be lying if I say: I can see any improvements. At least EA is putting some effort, unlike some Japanese company. The player movement, passing animations are looking realistic year by year. Looks like they have also added lots of settings regarding tactics and gameplay. If they fix the ice skating issue and make AI a bit smarter, then we might have a game folks.
Tried the 10 hour free when the game feels much better than fc24. Career mode on simulation sliders and world class is just perfect (legendary still makes any team to play like real Madrid) and it really makes me feel like it's a good football game, with hard games Vs good teams and easier games Vs weaker teams, still tough to beat. FC IQ also seems good, teams seem to adjust to our play style (try to do the same play 3 or 4 times and opponents will try to stop ituch earlier Even ultimate team feels slower than in FC24, which is good, although I prefer the offline modes.
The game is graphically amazing, presentation and pre match build up is top notch compared to the competition in the last 10 years and the atmosphere within the stadium during gameplay is almost identical to watching/being at the real event yet we are picking holes as to whether the kits should be tighter or not. Gameplay is nowhere near the heyday of PES but it's not unplayable - if you want complete simulation grab a football and kick it about the garden. We are absolutely spoiled now in terms of authenticity in games and have come a long way since the days of Sensible Soccer. 😂😂

They changed 2 things using the sliders to make it seem like the game is closer to reality 1 less forward runs, now players to go deep to often so you do not score 10 goals a match. and number 2 custom tactics now in formation you cannot place your attackers where yo want, so you only play formations. I noticed that all the animations are the same, so you score the same goals as all other fifa games. The problem is in the Engine, and they try to mask it with slider adjustments lol
The animation remains unchanged, still suffering from the same poor quality, with players appearing slippery and weightless. I wonder if EA's game designers ever take the time to watch and play PES from Konami. They might grasp the concerns many customers have expressed. EA SPORTS really needs to make serious improvements to player animation. Wait, now 2K is making FIFA 2026, I am sure they will fix what EA SPORTS cannot fix.
Five years and they still cant get the number of subs on the bench correct. They have gone from 7 to 8 which is an improvement but still not correct. Basic stuff and it does my head in.
Say what you want be the new tactics system is the best one ever implemented in a football game. It really makes a difference (I have ONLY played online and don’t give a duck about the meta). Team style is one thing but the player roles and how players adept to it is incredible. Graphics and gameplay is a lot of fun for me (subjective). I play a lot more possession and varied build up than in any fifa before. I have no tried it offline yet, going to start a career mode with Celts Vigo so I can’t say anything about offline. Online I feel this is the best version ever.

I have no idea these days how people even play footie games anymore, i havent played one since i think 21 cause theyre just shocking now and there is NO defending them, both sides........ I just hope someone comes out with one like the old days or something and with single player, not just online pony style gameplay. I only really played UT in the early years of it, and no idea how it became so big. The play style, the vegas style poker cards, the rigged gameplay....... And it is i dont care what anyone says. Just all a shambles these days........ The only 2 games im excited about this year, kingdom come deliverence 2 and dragonball sparking zero 😂😂. That is it!!

Fc 25 is much better than previous fifa games. Yes for offline it is worth it! Simulation mode is nice for realism.

33.33% Skatiness
33.33% ping pong passing
33.33% accelereation

Use L2 + tap r1 when close to the AI/opponent and press your tackle button, not contain unless you'll commit a foul. Trust me it's way easier that way
