I door dash as a full time job. I work 10 hrs, and bring home $130 each night. my goal is always $100 or more. I live in the 5th largest city in usa, so it's always busy. We have plenty of wealthy areas that use DoorDash frequently, and tip well. So door dashing where i live is awesome. It pays my rent, car insurance, utilities, and able to save money in bank.
Thank you for letting me know that I wasn't crazy in regards to the navigation sending me the wrong places, today was my first day and I was getting confused in regards to that happening but I know now to reset the map myself with the correct address, thanks your vied was helpful.

I just downloaded an app called Stride Tax that will track your mileage and you can take pics of receipts with it. It also has tips on what you can claim as a tax deduction. Pretty cool. Check your app store and read about it.
😂😂 and that'll be the difference between your pockets and the person who does that trip 🤷♀️ you gotta assume farther trips would make more money. However more frequent short trips could maybe balance it out.
I am an order placer nice seeing one of our dasher! as my experience their are really lot of rude merchants but we need to calm our tone over the phone and its really hard to stop yourself from getting angry 😀😀

I used to be able to call "customer support" and they would clock me in, but starting last week they put the kibosh on that! Damn. I was working 10-12 hours a day!, but now....bupkis. Anyone have any slick ideas on this?

I finally read deep into Stripe’s payment policies that direct deposit into a savings account. I have an Etsy and Square and haven’t had an issue with either of those.
Is there a maximum amount of hours outside of what your scheduled you can't work past? Let's say it's 40 hours a week scheduled can I work hypothetically all day and continue to keep doing that?

I dash too. I made over $500 this week (over 6 days) and Tuesday sucked! This is WONDERFUL way to make Christmas cash!

@ Joey I agree you need to consider the use of gas. It'd be smart to choose your orders wisely. Also factor in the wear and tear on your vehicle.

no they don't call your insurance or anything. you should be fine :)
As long as you're legally insured, it don't matter what insurance, and you don't need to notify insurance company.

yes it's a $5 monthly fee then when tax season comes around you could claim that as a business expense using their turbo tax app

as a side job for a student its ok. but as a main job you just have to try it out and see how much you make after expenses when doing taxes

Quickbooks Self-Employed in the app store or google play. its $5 a month right now but you can also claim it as a business expense :p
