Oh my god life saver I took mine apart and my cable was bent thankfully not broken but I don’t see how it bent but managed to smooth it out and hook it back in and see if it will work 🤞🏻
@@lemon2.017 As it is a solid cable i am wondering if flipping the dial round to quickly might cause it to bend, as i did spin mine round fast as the moment it broke. the red cable on mine is more a stranded cable not solid like the green one, maybe it's got more of a sharp bend down the the connection on that side.
Did you found from ebay or somewhere else the green cable? Because i have the same problem and i accidentally broke the 2 clips that hold the cable next to the control panel
Hiya, yes i got one on ebay, but i only seen two of them on there, i did call Ford for a price and would you believe they wanted £49.21 for that little cable, i bet they only cost about £3 to make.
whats this cable called. i will be inspecting mine soon and i suspect that i have the same problem as u. but if u could name the part or put a link. thanks
Some have called it a heater control cable, others have said air con cable, there was only two available on Ebay when i got mine, and from ford your looking at £49 which is a piss take for such a short cable,
@650GSF hi good news the cable isnt snapped but its damn hard to put the white plas5ic notch on the place hwere its supposed to be. Any idea on how how do it orbhow to open the side plastic cover to access it
@@650GSF update. i need to take out the whole wire out. clip it to the ac and then screw it back. problem is i dont have such a tiny screw u have so i orderd a torque spanner from aliexpres for like 2euros. its a small and should work
Did you manage to change it ? Is it fixed ? I’m in two minds whether to fix it myself, it’ll probably be cheaper and would have a genuine part but I’d have to scratch my head a lot . Or take it to a mechanic who would charge me a fortune and replace it with a part from Temu. It’s a hard decision
@@EduardoSeabra13 Hi, yes i managed to replace the cable, it is a tricky job to do, as you can see from my videos, i was tempted to just leave it, but with winter kicking in i thought it would be a pain not being able to change the air flow direction. get the cable and see if you can do it, if not then get a price from a garage to do the job.
Thanks for the info, mines just gone and done the exact same thing.
I'm taking a chance with an ebay cable rather than ford's prices
i am just about to look on ebay for one, i dare say ford will take the piss on the price of it.

It was short lived 😢
