This is a great, quick overview of how to effectively use copilot in vscode. I'm seriously impressed with this product. I've been using copilot to mainly write boilerplate code (which it does a good job at intuiting) and documentation (which saves a lot of typing and is awesome). It's good to know that there are even more features to tap into.

I just started playing with copilot. Great suggestions on how to declare intent. I also didn't know about the slash commands. Good info!

Great video, I have loved using Copilot so far. Understanding the context and use cases for the different features is extremely helpful!

GitHub Copilot has great potential, I wish to see copilot gets trained on the latest data. Right now it's only trained till September 2021 which is way behind.

Oh, so that's why it keeps using deprecated functions.

Very nice! thank you :) a big question I have with co-pilot, especially as a not so experienced developer, is understanding why it's making certain recommendations. Sometimes it will make recommendations that I think may not be relevant, but it might be referencing code or context I've completely forget that I created, or methodologies that work best with the language I'm using. If it could say "This is the recommendation based on..." for each recommendation. That would help!

I can certainly see how this would be helpful. When you are using Chat, you will see a references widget appear which provides the context/references used when generating the suggestion. For code completion it's a bit tricker as there really isn't a good UX for it at the moment. Maybe this will change in the future

The volume is very low. Even at Max volume on my phone, I can't hear this over my food cooking. I like watching educational videos while I cook dinner.

at min 3:10 she said that copilot is able to work with opened files and also files that are not opened.
half minute later both agree that copilot is not able to look in the files from your workspace.
so in their minds the files that you work with - opened and not opened are not your workspace.
    whoa! morons convention...
