That & the fact that Maynard never included the lyrics in the liner credits as well as the way he stresses the syllables always made it challenging to understand exactly WHAT words he was saying let alone some of the deeper meaning contained there in.
This CD was played for several months straight... it is so aggressive and the lyrics... Tool is right behind Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd for me. I say, Tool is the lovechild from Zeppelin and Sabbath... after doing DMT

Still my favourite Tool song. Always imagine this song as a hurricane. The quiet part in the middle is like the eye of the storm before it goes back into utter chaos. Such a brilliant song.

Saw this live in Oakland CA in 96 and was just floored. They sounded so much better than any recording. My jaw was on the floor for the entire show. Of course I had dropped three liquid LSD drinched sweettarts and was peaking as this song came about. Fuck me. It was utterly beautiful and mesmerizing. And Maynard was half blue and half white with white boxers and using two mics right out front center. He was leading that crowd and had us all hanging on every lyric. It was magical.

I was a 15yr old 5'2 girl going with my big sis, got way intimidated by how tiny we were in a sea of excited bodies but spent the entire evening encircled by a leather clad gang of Bikers, protecting us from the heaving crowd because they could see we weren't quite brave enough to hold space. And they got emotional too with Maynard's voice. The best scene, the best core memory in my life. Thank you, and welcome new Tool fans. 😊

I FEEL YA!!!! You have to see them live! I saw them last night in Eugene Oregon, row 12 center floor. Dude, I've see many outstanding bands in my 62 years, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Led Zep, Robin Trower, YES, Ozzy, ad infinitum but, WOW!!! Goosebumps and awe the entire show!!!! One of only a handful of shows where a recording, even through the best headphones, do not come near the live performance. I truly cannot express how impressive they are live. Their sound quality, production, animations and light show, and absolutely amazing tight performances are experience you can't miss. The only comparable to them in any, and all, of those attributes in my experience are Pink Floyd and YES.
