Happy Sunday Paul! Brilliant orange tree...unique to say the least...thank you Mrs. H!! Good ol' Kevy...you manage a shorter video than he, so you win...hehe. You added an element of difficulty over Kevy's shave, you didn't load your blade prior. But wait, there is more; you didn't even ope the package! I will be surprised if you make the 10 minutes...you are showing packages and talking. I like the talking, but focus mate! Yay, you did it! That was good fun. SOTD: Rex Envoy loaded with a vintage Wilkinson Sword Super Sword Edge blade (not sure of the year; has a blade wrapper with red printing) (2nd use). Soap Commander Fortitude soap lathered with a PAA Atomic Rocket brush. 3 passes plus pick-ups. I must say this old Wilkinson Sword blade is very sharp; cuts so cleanly it leaves the skin shinny! Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and WSP Mahogany aftershave. Keep safe Mr. and Mrs. H! Take care.
Budget razor it may be but, for me, it is near top in no-nonsense utility.This is on shaving for over fifty years with a wide variety of DEs (including the new chrome-plated Wilkinson Sword TTO). This budget Classic razor is mild but shaves very well. It is optimally weighted (43g), balanced and cleverly designed, incorporating complete (with ingenious vertical knurling) enclosure of the blade tabs overhang and blade edge ends. 'Top' marks stainless steel costing 20-30 fold might be "works or art" and beautiful to behold, but this very reasonably priced (£5 at Boots) classic is my "desert island's". Thank you Paul for an excellent video.
Oranges, how creative, Mrs. H. 🍊 Whew! I was getting a little concerned when you started talking about the boar brush that you wouldn't finish on time. If I did a 10 minute shave, it'd either be without pickups or a bloodbath unless I used an electric. 😄

I love these kind of vids you make budget products that's what got me into this kind of shaving. started with Tayler of old bond gift set cheep bowel Edwin de89 and feather blade, few years later bought more soaps few bowls upgraded the shaver and shave brush happy days. I have paused buying new products in order to help with the demand of the postal service due to what's going on. To all key workers around the world we thank you. Great video! I stumbled across that Wilkinson Sword shaving soap for two dollars, but have yet to try it. I agree, I've always enjoyed using budgit products and getting a great shave.

Great shave, Paul, and excellent timing! I find those blades (Dorco 301, as said in another comment) somewhat harsh first use but they are much better afterwards. I love the mentholated Palmolive, but I can't find it in the shops where I live (France). Found it in Rome for a couple of euros. My best regards to Mrs. H. Stay healthy!

I watched one of your videos some years ago, in which you used that Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel. It has since become one of my staple products! Even when I'm using some of the more expensive soaps etc, I still love this as a post shave! Thanks for the tip - it's seen me well for the last few years!

So,SOTD: Gillette Ball End Tech - Ladas Blade (1st use) - Triumph Boar Brush (vintage czechoslovakian brush from the 70s/80s) - Palmolive Shaving Stick - Skin Bracer by Mennen After Shave. The boar brush did a better job with the face lathering than the synthetic last week...

Loved the simple working man shave but the 10 minute challenge is a terrible idea. Seems like some people don't want others to enjoy their shaves... :-) You were in such a rush that we didn't even have time to be relaxed in your company...

Great shave Paul. I love the scent, performance and post shave of Palmolive cream. I might have to use it today after seeing this. Haha. That's orange tree is pretty cool. I live in Pennsylvania so apple trees are the norm here in my part of the world. My employer shut us down last week so we have the same restrictions here as well. Best wishes to you and Mrs H!

Congratulations Paul, you did it within 10 minutes. I wonder now if Kevy Shaves is going to send us both a prize for shaving within the 10 min? The drug stores here in the US, or should I say, chemists, do not have much in the line for wet shavers. I only ever saw the Van der Hagen razor which I had to take back. I used the same Wilkinson Classic and the blade by Wilkinson, Palmolive shaving cream Sensitive type, did everything in less than 8 minutes but my face looked 10 times worse than yours (I compare only the number of "bloody" shaving cuts not your general appearance- don't worry ;) You are the champion! I think the blade is a Dorco ST-300. Most of your store brand DEs not made in Isreal are these. If it's made in China, beware. Vietnam has a Dorco plant. The Titans are made there as well.

That was a Dorco 301st blade they do good for budget shaving I have one left

that's right - they are Dorco ST301s (written on the orange wrapper but the blade is unmarked) - my no.1 DE blade, and the 100-pack is less than a tenner!
I love the Palmolive classic in a tube. Just great stuff
My shave today. Phoenix shaving soap Cavendish. Razor was murker open comb. Blade was a derby green . Lotion was Barts lavender and aftershave was 4711. Be safe and keep well.

I do ten minute shaves every day during the week but take my time and enjoy the process more on the weekends.
I did a 2 pass shave including getting everything out, shaving and putting everything away in a little over 8 minutes. So you can easily do 3 passes total time in around 12 minutes. IMO

Great video Paul most of my products are budget anyway lol but it does not matter what you use or how cheap the razor is as long as it does the job, they look like dorco blades when you stated their made in Vietnam, bodycare erasmic 1.19 for the tub I love that shaving soap and the cream , you did dead on ten minuets good on ya 😀 I might try it but a warning I might end up looking like one of the victims from Friday the 13th lol take care and have a great week 😀

Vietnam blades are Dorco. Nice video, thanks for showing us some original inexpensive stuff. I rather watch these than the "new cheap and not inexpensive copies of vintage or new razors"; I am into the vintage or original NEW razors. Cheers and keep it going. What happened w chillie seeds? I have soaps and AS, that I may have to end up using in the shower or disinfect stuff. (we don't have any disinfectants). Limited supplies.....got myself some liquid bread
