At the first of the video, the man in the background, to the right, looks like a skinny giant on the hill. It's just an optical illusion, I think. Lol Love the ocean. Thanks for sharing. I find my best driftwood and other cool things at low tides and tidal changing areas. Especially after storms.
King tides happen every year, about this time (between late December and late February). Perfectly normal. Been happening for eons. Nothing to see here...
Lived in Lompoc for years used to go to Gaviota. The first year I was shocked to see all of the sand had washed away. After that, I saw it happen ever year, some more or less than others.

My family and I lived down in the Pismo Beach area for almost 30 years. These high tides happen, and it is normal. What makes it worse, is when the king high tide combines with storm surge. I've seen it happen many times. The news, and the climate crisis people love to make it out to be some new thing due to climate change...it's not.
