Although Dutch star Femke Bol did not make the quickest of starts in her recent race, she hurdled fluently as she finished well clear of Shamier Little with Anna Hall. More than that, not only did Femke claim the victory, but she also got a meeting record to go with it!
At this point, it is pretty obvious that Femke Bol is quite serious about bringing her A-game this season. Although she always trains hard and runs as hard on the track, this season, she’s more serious than ever for a victory, and breaks records while she’s at it!
So, who is #FemkeBol and why should we keep our eyes on her? Well, Femke Bol is a Dutch #trackandfield athlete who specializes in the 400 meters hurdles and 400 meters. She is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist in the 400 m hurdles with the current European record of 52.03 seconds, becoming the third-fastest woman of all time and the first Dutch Olympic medallist at the event.

Femke needs to start faster. Sydney is testing how far she can go as she starts faster than anyone. Last race she broke down at the 300m mark. But that wil only get better.
Very good point
Mijn Femke Bol is ook de bronzen medaillewinnaar van de Olympische Spelen van Tokyo in 2020 op de 400 m horden met het huidige Europese record van 52,03 seconden.
Got about half way through, but couldn't be arsed trying to listen to what you're saying over that heavy background music!
And she already made new history.
Ze lijkt precies op Wiske, van "Suske en WIske" 🙂
For now Femke Bol, with 52.03, is only the third fastest woman in the 400m hurdles far behind Sydney McLaughlin (50.58) and Dalilah Muhammad (51.58 in Tokyo in 2021). But she mustn't get discouraged, she's young, she can still make progress.
TBF, until that race, only 2 years ago, she's be the World Record holder!
You‘re saying this as if being the THIRD BEST OF ALL TIME at something is something bad. This is sensational
In Muhammad's case this post is out of touch. Bol has beaten her every time since Tokyo. Muhammad is no longer what she was.
You may reconsider.
And Femke did make progress 51.45 which make her the second fastest womam now and only 0.7 from WR. Closing in fast!
femke bol.
Pronounced FEMKA
or even better FEMKUH
Solo tiene una rival pero McLauglin es inalcanzable ella es la estrella
She's still nowhere near Sydney.
You are right---Sydney is so far from Femke-----I don't see her as competition for Sydney. Sydney will demolish her in both the 400m and 400 MH.
Update?
How has Bol "closed the gap" on Sydney when her best time this year is STILL 1.35 seconds slower than McLaughlin-Levrone's world record? In fact, Bol's best time this year is .27 seconds slower than her own personal best. Bol hasn't even closed the gap on herself let alone McLaughlin-Levrone. Sheesh. At least look up some stats before making these lame Bol hype videos.
So you compare this season's times with older seasons'? You don't get a medal for previous races or records. You have to perform right now and that's not so simple: you have to build up again and again each season. Past results do not guarantee future performances.
Femke is taking one step at a time, race by race. Now implementing 14 step technique, which helps her to improve herself further. This year working towards the World Championships, next year the Olympics.
Even if she goes from third place last time to second place next time, it's already a success for the Dutch girl.
@@Wuppie62 Syd got better season after season why cant Bol?
@@Wuppie62 She only gets second because Dalilah is no longer in contention
Can't you just enjoy the fact that Femke and her competitors achieve great results during exciting competitions instead of being al negative about it?
@@AMetalheadsPerspective
But she does, and wether Syd still does we don't know: Syd doesn't race much does she?
And again: past results are no guarantee for the future.
NO chance against Sydney in any event.
*SYD IS WAY FASTER*
syd has left the building
Please update.

That gyal needs to be drug 💉 tested and not given a pass.
not ready to say she is doping it. i think she has worked hard and the hard work seems to be paying off. dont they all get tested for illegal substances?
Nah, she's clean. Next you'll be saying shes on helium cause of voice.
@@timdan21 You do realize she's just 23 and she sometimes has acne on her face like a lot women her age have. She has had this for as long as I can remember, so also before she was top 3 of the world in her event...
@@ovrlievenovrlieven7191 When did I accuse Femke of anything ? I wasn't the one claiming she is doping.
I was reacting to someone who claimed she has a pockmarked doping face by stating that it's just acne.
I'm not falsely accusing her of having acne, because she actually has acne...
@@ovrlievenovrlieven7191Exactly year 2023. Quite the most ridiculous post I've seen. I'm from England, but know my athletics.
