Beautifully played and a masterful analysis of the original. I am a huge Boz Scaggs fan, also Toto (who were Boz's Silk Degrees band for those who didn't know), and also many of the great session musicians of the 70s and 80s. This track is from the Middle Man album. According to the liner notes, David Foster played all keyboards and synths on the album. I could have guessed this fact as the phrasing, chords, and progressions are trademark Foster of the time. David is a genius arranger/producer and a highly accomplished pianist. Not just my opinion, bona fide geniuses such as Jay Graydon have stated this many times.
I hope to find the time to sit down and learn to play this. I think I might be able to do it after some days practice. As you have commented, it is relatively simple compared to other pieces you have played that are way out of my league. Your 80s Chicago pieces are mind-blowing, again likely to be Foster with a bit of Champlin and Lamm. I'm a mad Terry Kath era Chicago fan, but I don't much like 80s Chicago as it isn't what the band is really about. That said, many of the tunes are very slick and beautifully arranged, but they don't compare with 25 or 6 to 4, Beginnings, Poem 67 and 68, and the like. Thankfully, Leonid and Friends have brought the real Chicago back to life. They are amazing.

Toto did indeed work with Boz (what album were they not on in the 80s?), and I have to mention that Lukather friend and guitar great Mike Landau got his start touring with Boz. As an homage, the very last two chords I played in this video are the very last two chords from "You Can Have Me Any Time" by Boz from the Middle Man album - good stuff.

One or maybe two takes. This is one of the simpler songs I've done. Some of the others I've done have been challenging, though.

Thank you! I tried to find a moment of redundancy within the music to show the Reface CP settings, that way you can study it fairly easily. The "Love, you wouldn't lie to me" chord sequence is pretty much identical to the "Love, look what you've done to me" sequence. Good luck learning this song😊.
Even though you only played a little of it...it was exceptional.....I thought I had it perfect but I still learned a bunch watching you...too bad you didn't play the second half of the first verse....my favorite part... with the Ebmin9 Bbm7 Gbm7add4 Dbm7 chords etc....I'm sure you play it that way...you nailed what you played...but can you sing it to? ;)

I leaned the song by slowing the song down on my record player. From 331/2. To 16..
