Jack have you tried the woolworths plantein meatballs, mince or burgers from woolworths they're 2.95?

I actually only just tried the mince the other day and it was pretty good. It was a bit bland, but good for a cheap option! Good to see some cheaper vegan alternatives available 😁

They are pretty cheap. Thought I give the burgers a go. I'm happy to see another brand of mock meets after losing a few.

Just a heads up on Brazil nuts. You can overdo them as they are really high in selenium.
They suggest that you should only have 2 per day because the levels are so high.

Thanks for the info! I've heard the limit is generally 5, but you can definitely overdose on the high selenium - something to be mindful of :)

Yes the Aldi tofu is the best! They also have a purple packet of Tolkien noodles in the fridge near the tofu, the best noodles!

That Nando's vegan perinaise is great. I have some in the fridge at the moment. There's some amazing sriracha mayo too at Woolies too it's just quite expensive.

What vegan toiletries do you buy? I currently use Trishave for shaving, and Bulldog for face wash but they’re are horrifically expensive.

I personally purchase Proraso shaving cream, which is vegetable based and we use QV as a body wash. Meanwhile, we also purchase vegan hair products and my wife works at a skincare company called Lira - 99% of their products are vegan.

If you get a chance you should go to the Big Watermelon if you're in Melbourne for your fruit and vegetables :) I hope that helps.

@@JackRockThatVeganDad I totally understand I'm in the western suburbs so I only go there about once every couple of months or so. Give it a go one day

I'm very low on money even on pay day, i top up prepaid services stuff first, then 2nd i prioritize hygiene products, 3rd i prioritize my hydration such as tea, 4th i prioritize chocolate and ice cream, and i barely have money leftover for food so i collect saved food from food rescue services and live off that, plus a pay what you can cafe that's like a soup kitchen but not a soup kitchen.
