These are the BEST Vegan Products of 2024
What a year 2024 has been for vegan products in Australia! Let’s dive into the BEST of the year.
2024 brought its fair share of ups and downs for the vegan food scene:
✨ Highs: Big brand vegan launches, some of the best products we’ve ever seen, and the unpopular vegan tax often nowhere to be seen!
⚡ Lows: Fewer new innovations and sadly, several vegan businesses shutting their doors.
But overall, veganism in Australia reached incredible heights in 2024. Despite brands slowing down on rapid vegan alternative releases, the vegan community grew by an impressive 44% from 2023, with 1.3 million Australians adopting the lifestyle!
The economic challenges of 2024 impacted businesses across the board, but with this continued growth, 2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for veganism.

The vegan apple custard doughnut from Krispy Kreams was also great. thanks for letting us know the cookies and cream and strawberry jam filled is also safe. I look forward to the day all foods, and more importantly the animals are safe.
Looks so good!
So underrated remember me when you get famous and make millions of people happy everyday!❤
😅🙌💚
Not to be offensive or disagree to your opinion, but respectfully I’d prefer normal choccy chip cookies
I respectfully suggest trying these before passing judgement 🤔 It might be surprised 🤷♂️
Damn near blew out my eardrums with that intro
Damn it! I paid a hefty price for Pana Organic plant-based ice-cream for Christmas, only because I didn't trust the Blue Ribbon one. My favourite used to be the Halo Top oat milk based ice-cream from Coles. I think the flavour was hazelnut and 'something'. It was so good! It doesn't seem to be available any more. 😢 Why do they do that? So frustrating. Thanks for this info. ❤
The pana ice cream is good, but so damn expensive 😫 Definitely do sus out the Blue Ribbon one. I haven't heard of anyone disliking it yet! 😋👌
Watching you on feshly picked!! happy new year
😅🙌💚 Happy New Year!
I didn’t know about Krispy Kreme - that’s awesome that their core range is vegan. The Blue Ribbon ice cream is such a big win, and I love them for not sticking a vegan tax on it. Ice cream is one of those things I just haven’t bothered with for years, because nothing has been good enough to be worth it. Kinda like sausages… *weeps*
I totally agree - the Blue Ribbon ice cream is a game changer!👌Have you tried the vEEF vegan sausages yet? Ppl have said they are now back at Woolies - worth a shot if you haven't! 😃
@@JackRockThatVeganDad I was at Woolies tonight and saw the Veef sausages! 🥳 I've already had the regular style ones (delish) and have some chorizo in my fridge to try next!
I didn't realise those companies went out of business- that's definitely a big shame
It's definitely unfortunate 😖 The economy and inflation has really hit a lot of industries hard unfortunately
@JackRockThatVeganDad yes it's crazy- I can't even afford to rent something basic by myself anymore - every thing is so expensive
What's wrong with soy? Its perfectly healthy.
Nothing wrong with soy generally, but soy is a pretty common allergy plus majority of previously vegan ice creams are soy-based and with some of them, that soy flavour can be quite strong and off-putting.
the blue ribbon hands down is the best
Honestly ticks all the boxes!
Thank you for sharing your vegan hauls this year. I always look forward to your videos as you have helped me discover some wonderful new products this year! I am disabled and completely housebound so I don’t have the luxury of shopping in person and finding exciting new products. I have found myself buying the exact same things week after week, year after year and just shopping from the weekly food catalogues. Your videos have opened my eyes to all the delicious vegan foods that are out there. I can’t thank you enough for sharing. Happy Holidays and I hope you have a wonderful New Year. 🎉💥🍾
You're most welcome! It's awesome to know that my videos have made a difference for you! Wishing you a fantastic New Year!
same situation with disability and online shopping.
Missing, MEET, Plant protein, etc, they were spot on with flavour. You bring up an interesting point about putting the vegan label on items. I was at the Sydney Vegan Market for world vegan day during a panel discussion with owners of successful vegan restaurants, cafes, etc; they all agreed that to be a success as a vegan business it has to appeal to all consumers and not to use the word vegan in name of business either... Great to see your channel grow Jack see you in the new year 🎉
I totally agree! It's a fine line to walk. Happy New Year and thanks for the on-going support!!
Having it now as a non vegan or vegetarian and it’s yum, not as good as the OG, but it’s close
The ice cream is at Woolies too. And yes it's amazing.
Nice! I didn't realise it was at Woolies also :)
@ After you showed it I went to Woolies. They didn’t have it. I bought it at Cole’s and then took it to Woolies and they scanned it. It worked so they said it was coming and it arrived a week or 2 later. It’s even at my smaller Woolies store.
It's in IGA as well, my local had it on special just before Christmas so picked it up to go with dessert. Everyone who tried it couldn't tell the difference, massive win!
My favourite is Quorn Chicken Pieces. You can make curries with them, adding potatoes and veggies to bulk it out. I made soft tacos the other day and my meat eating family loved them. Quorn is a very healthy alternative to meat.
Not vegan unfortunately. Their nuggets are ace though
Aldi has Meat free sausages which are delicious. They are in the tofu section. I highly recommend. Totally agree with the Blue Ribbon ice cream is the best by far and a decent price 🙂
Have tries them before, very good 👌 Kinda like the Vegie Delights sausages and under $5 too 😁
I can't find hotdogs.
I found supermarket shopping for the vegan mock meats really frustrating the last couple of years. They keep moving everything around and discontinuing lines or even just not stocking at particular stores. I moved to Sydney and had expectations that availability would be great, but it just wasn't true. Like only 1 of our 2 closest Coles stocked Impossible. Which I can't see at all where I am now: are any of them still stocking Impossible?
So sad about the discontinued products and companies that went under. The good sausages are such a staple I only got the Mutti bolognese once, it was great
Thanks so much for this summary! ❤
100% the Blue Ribbon Plant Based Ice Cream was my #1 new release for 2024! Went down a treat with some fresh mango after Christmas lunch. (-1000% the Lemon Filled Doughnut from Krispy Kreme. Lemon, yuck! An abomination.😆) #2 definitely the Imber's Pantry Camembert. Also went down a treat Christmas Day, and honestly at $10 and available from most Woolworths, highly accessible. Veef Sausages are on shelf at all Woolworths near me after disappearing for a month or so. Less of a hit at Christmas, the Smoked is a pretty good vegan sausage but overall a bit too claggy on the texture and the flavour too close to Impossible Burger as I've previously mentioned. Don't get me wrong, still the best vegan sausages on the market but I feel now after having had them a few times not quite the hit-it-out-of-the-ballpark product I first thought. Now all I'm waiting for here is mint choc chip Blue Ribbon ice cream, PLEASE! 🙏
Oh yes! Mint choc chip would be the bomb!!! Absolutely miss that flavour combo 😋👌 Good to hear about the vEEF sausages too! I haven't seen them reappear just yet 🤞
Love the Blue Ribbon ice-cream. No vegan tax, nails the taste and texture and no unnecessary ingredients* so safer for food intolerances/IBS. *I'm looking at you, inulin 😒
Honestly ticks so many boxes doesn't it 😁👌
Krispy Kreme is a big win! 🍩 I don't think I'd call them "accidentally" vegan though: it was an intentional recipe change that they've advertised on their website FAQ
Krispy Kreme is a big win! 🍩 I don't think I'd call them "accidentally" vegan though: it was an intentional recipe change that they've advertised on their website FAQ
You are 100% right, thanks for pointing that out!
But the AU website does not include them under the vegan section 😢
The ice cream and camembert look amazing, and I was literally talking about that vegan bolognese to my mum last night! Still sort of a bummer year for new stuff. It's so hard to tell whether Australia works as a market for vegan stuff, especially when you compare us to the UK.
It was a bit disappointing this year tbh Despite veganism growing over the years, I think the food and supermarket game is just so cut-throat in Australia! I've spoken to vegan brands and the sales expectations are often unreasonable and these vegan products often compete against non-vegan products in sales figures to keep them on the shelves - know a brand of vegan sausage rolls that competed against non-vegan sausage rolls and they got shafted due to poor sales!
Omg what? Vegan frozen pizza? Ive never seen it omg im going to get some asap - can you start a petition against Domino's for charging $7 extra per pizza for vegan cheese? They charge that for an entire dairy pizza. Its so unfair! 😮😢❤
Definitely check it out 😋👌 And Domino's is dead to me after they got rid of all of their delicious vegan toppings (used to have a burger flavour, taco and so many others! 😭)
I was cautious to try the chicken style slices, glad they taste good.
thanks for the reminder on the jellies, I watch your videos whilst doing my online shop.
Im going to try all these 😊 can you please tell me what brand of vegan butter you use?
The vegan dairy has a nice butter, but honestly Nuttelex works fine too 😋 Hope you enjoy all of these 😁🙌
I'm catching up on some of your videos so only just saw this, and literally bought some the next day. So creamy and delish, just in time to go with my home made vegan Christmas pudding.
That’s awesome! So glad you liked it!
Hooray, finally a snag my husband and I actually enjoyed!! Now we just need to eat enough of them that they don't EVER get discontinued!
Unfortunately, they are discontinued 😮💨 Veef went into liquidation recently, so production stopped. However, the company got purchased, so hopefully they begin production again soon as these were so spot on 🤞
@@JackRockThatVeganDad noooooooooooooooooooooo!! Well, I guess they went out with a bang(er). I hope whoever acquired them recognises that decent snags are the thing we all really need.
@@RenAtkins Agreed! Fingers crossed
Thank you for sharing 👍
Always love you videos. FYI so good soy milk is fortified with the same amount of calcium and b12 as the vitasoy calciplus and it’s only $2.20 per litre.
Oh, that's really handy to know!! I will have to try it out :) Thanks!
Thanks so much for this video .. I didn't realise how much is vegan friendly 😮 i love the macro tofu too...is thecblock cheese in the fridge with the other cheeses? I haven't seen it at my woollies 😒 new subscriber here ❤ have a great Christmas..i have the vegan roasts too
Thanks for watching! The block cheese is usually by the other vegan cheeses, but I'll be honest, I'm not sure if it's available at all Woolies. Thanks for the sub, and have a great Christmas! :)
Yes! Aldi would be great!
Merry Christmas to you Jack 🙂
Merry Christmas to you too! :)
Coles seems to have more vegan frozen items, although I am a Woolies girl. I am hoping Natures Kitchen Roast is good coz that's what I have brought. Have a great Christmas. Thank you.
If you're after a blast from the past, I did a review on it 4 years ago (it's unchanged besides the size and cost). Just type in "that vegan dad christmas roast" and you'll find it :) It's a great option and similar to the Vegie Delights Roast if you ever had that. I preferred the Woolworths Roast, but they didn't release it this year. Enjoy! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year
Delicious these went into my Christmas presents!
Great idea! They would make a fantastic homemade gift 🎁
Nature Kitchen pies are great too from Coles
Agree! They're definitely a winner. Especially that the Four n Twenty Pies are no longer available :(
@tofu6433 yes I buy there mushroom lentil vegan pies nature's kitchen delicious 😋
Agreed with Aldi suggestion. Woolies just upped their soy milk to $2. It was $1.15 a few years ago. Then $1.70 about a month ago.
Never mind. Aldi just put up all their plant milk to $1.89 😝
@@tofu6433 im sick of corporate greed! im sick of capitalism!
The Coles Hommus is pretty good too 🙂
I haven't tried that one before!! I will have to sus it out :)
Have you come across a vegan fruit cake you keep us up to date with everything vegan good job love watching your hauls
Not yet! I'll keep an eye out and see what I can find. I know Nature's Kitchen have a banana bread, but I'm not sure if they ever released a proper fruit cake
@JackRockThatVeganDad okay thanks
@@JackRockThatVeganDad the biscoff vanila cake from woolworths is also vegan but only the vanilla 1, carrot and other flavors add milk sadly.
The Canadian ingredients has Almond paste. I seen these at Wal-Mart but I can't buy it, because I'm allergic to nuts and peanut butter.
Hey mate! Please do aldi. I'm boycotting colesworths this holiday season
Thanks for the suggestion! There's been a lot of demand for this one, so I might have to do one in the New Year!! :)
any reason for the boycot? should I boycot them as well?
I visited Australia in 2016 , Lord of the fries in Melbourne i visited so much lol, amazing
