Finally, they reacted to something about All Filipino content only. I think this is a great way to introduce different culture to others by focusing one topic and reacted by different people from different countries.
The Filipina in this vid explains it really well how much music and singing embedded in our daily living or culture. Though I believe the singing talent is genetic too and was just intensely honed because of the encouragement it gets from the environment in the Philippines.
As a Filipino, I know of someone who, as a child, never sang at home while everybody in his family did. Maybe he was too shy. But when he got inspired having a girlfried at 16 he started to sing love songs of high keys at their home karaoke. His family, together with the neighborhood, got surprised and they pushed him to join, eventually winning most of the time, local community to national singing contests, and the rest is history. He is now a famous singing celebrity and composer.
Also, what's more impressive is that Filipinos learned singing by emulating whatever they hear in their environment growing up ( radio,tv,and singing neighbors included 😂) and they never really had to go through vocal trainings because most of them could not afford these classes. Filipino kids would start singing as early as 3 yrs old and if you apply the principle of "10000 hours training" of anything consistently, you'll reach "perfection" or the expert level. The Filipinos don't even realize that they've been training their voice all their lives because they're simply enjoying singing as a hobby too. Only thing different is they always choose that hardest songs in karaoke hehehe
Filipinos will just blurted out into singing whatever we are doing, anytime, anywhere. I think its just one way of sighing. We substitute singing for sighing cause the latter is just gloomy from the inside. But whatever we sing it translates from our emotions and feelings of what we are currently doing. Sounds like musical but candid. Usually in the chorus part, a particular song for a particular emotion/feelings while doing a task of that particular moment. "Give me one moment in time" hahaha. That's Filipinos for you.

I feel the Filipino girl. As a Filipina, my voice isn't that good BUT I still love to sing lmao! Watching this was a treat bc of Lea Salonga in the clips. She's my fav singer and I wish I could sing like her. Unlike other Filipinos who like powerhouses, I love the singing in the way Broadway or Disney does, where it's not just all high notes.
What Filipinos are doing when it comes to singing is called “mimicking” they practiced to mimick western singers and that’s how Filipinos get good at singing, of which everybody can do.
My dad just celebrated his 75th bday last November 12 and the Karaoke mood went for days. 10PM is the curfew time so we had to stop by then. Imagine singing from morning to evening. While others cook and prepare the foods, guests and neighbors be singing. The cooks be like: please reserve our songs. They have this "kid" who's assigned to reserve their fave songs and it's so much fun to watch cause I get to watch them tell the kids what song to find as they face 4 caseroles. The multi tasking is on another level😂😂😂
I think it's not only karaoke culture cause you can still sing without karaoke. Karaoke, singing competition, singing on family gathering are only attribute to Filipino music culture. I think it's the music playlist of Filipino. Filipino are highly emotional and sentimental in nature so majority of Filipino loves ballad and opera/classical especially on 70s to early 2000. These genre are one of the hardest genre when singing. There's a lot of technicalities within. As the genre getting popular, many song writer also compose until it becomes a habit of the society to sing on high note. Filipino also tolerate music everywhere, it's part of the noisy environment so you can hear music anywhere from malls to vehicles and around neighborhood so even though your not music lover, you will find yourself singing and those who had natural gift will eventually develop their skills. I think the language also help our composers when making music. Filipino language is not tonal or pitchy but higly syllabic. The grammar is reguraly VSO but it can be SVO, VOS, OSV and so on.. There's more to say bout the language but making music in Filipino is easier that we can spontaneously do any genre that we want and this all help Filipino to trained our voices on many genres
Singing is already embedded in Filipino culture from pre-colonial times, tribes will sing for rituals and to express themselves. In spanish times, guys will court girls singing outside of their window which is called "harana" it is mostly a ballad that speaks about his feelings towards her.

Always giving the credits to the karaoke machine when not everyone in the Philippines has it, for practicing singing.. Not 100% of Filipinos can sing, but mostly do. We just really love singing even we're out of tune or cannot sing at all..
In the 20th century, our music are mostly Filipino folk/love songs, Spanish and American songs and even English,Italian and French songs till the mid cenrury😅 and then the advent of OPM songs ended the euro influence
Would love for Filipina to mention there’s also a Spanish influence to Philippines in terms of music one of them is still popular today who is fluent in Spanish is Pilita Corales
sometimes all of the piliipino use kareoke in anny celebration things like birthday Piesta or new year or christmas or just wanting to sing and always hearing it every day hahahah sometimes people who drinking alchohol use kareoke to sing and kids or teens sings every popular music even rap they sing it every day and they always updated because of fb and tiktok
We have OPM (Original Pilipino Music). Its genre varies but mostly ballad, rock, novelty, and pop. The famous songs in our country are mostly in Tagalog and English (Filipino songs written in English), but we also have famous songs in different Philippine languages like, "Padaba Taka" by Dwta which is Bicolano, and "Porque" by Maldita which is in Chavacano. During the 90's, "Anak" by Fredie Aguilar was translated in numerous foreign languages. Now, Ppop is slowly getting attention globally. Some famous ppop groups are SB19, Bini, and ALAMAT (has multilingual lyrics). We also have a ppop idol group called MNL48 which is a sister group of AKB48 from Japan and JKT48 from Indonesia. It's not just American songs that are famous here, but also Kpop and Jpop. Many Filipinos during the 90's and early 2000s memorized the opening songs of animes. A huge reason of why Kpop got big is because of Filipinos and other neighboring Asian countries. The music and singing culture in the Philippines started during the pre-colonial period. We have our own genre in music called Kundiman. Harana (serenade) is done for traditional courting. Ever since the Spanish colonization up to today, many loves to learn guitar. We sing on every occasion like birthdays, weddings, graduations. Singing contest is also huge here that happens whenever there are town fiestas. Now, karaoke is one of the entertainment in most households and get together. It becomes annoying sometimes though, when your neighbor forget that it's already midnight.
Majority of filipino belters and singers nowadays have been influenced by Regine Velasquez. She's the one that defaulted belting and beautiful singing in OPM and encourages a generation of singers who joins singing contests and make a living out of it until you get a recording deal.
Most of them they are not trained or learned in musical school its just that filipinos really do sing well. And its not an option for karaoke singing to be not perfect...they will laugh at your face 8f you are bad.
there is competition from different levels micro level within families, within towns, within cities within region, then the national level those are the competitions so the ones that gets to have aa chance national are very2 high class
This has nothing to do with the video but Portuguese guy looks exactly like one of my Moroccan friends. Back to the video, English is a pretty common language in the Philippines so maybe that's why they sing so well in English. Philippines is so underrated as a country.
You guys should have included the performances of FRANCIS AGLABTIN, when he was still a kid. . He was an undefeated champion of a top daily program in the Philippines. .
Spain had a lot of influences on Filipino music, hear our "kundiman" it sounds a lot like Spanish or Latin music, and you can still hear famous Spanish songs played on the radio and also some chamber music. There's a lot of dances too, in one province I knew "cha cha" was the go-to "dance" in the Fiesta competition.
Dude, Filipinos love karaoke so much that it's hard to sleep at night. It's past midnight and someone was still trying to hit that high note like there's no tomorrow and the whole barangay can hear it.

Love from Calamba City, Laguna in the Philippines 🇵🇭💕🇮🇩
To a filipino child... singing is a part of child's play.
In my primary/secondary school years, music is part of the curriculum.
Always giving the credits to the karaoke machine when not everyone in the Philippines has it, for practicing singing.. Not 100% of Filipinos can sing, but mostly do. We just really love singing even we're out of tune or cannot sing at all..
Miguel is so cute ❤
I love this channel❤
In the 20th century, our music are mostly Filipino folk/love songs, Spanish and American songs and even English,Italian and French songs till the mid cenrury😅 and then the advent of OPM songs ended the euro influence

Would love for Filipina to mention there’s also a Spanish influence to Philippines in terms of music one of them is still popular today who is fluent in Spanish is Pilita Corales
If you want to try go to the Philippines so that you realized that everything is true about Pinoy culture.
English is our second language in the Philippines, so, of course, our children can pronounce English words correctly.
OYY PHILIPPINES!
Filipinos dont just sing a song. They perform it.
Of course the filipino in the group can't help but sing along lol
I’m Filipino and I love Dangdut
most singing competition in the international stage is not complete without a filipino contestant. you can see that in the number of view.
sometimes all of the piliipino use kareoke in anny celebration things like birthday Piesta or new year or christmas or just wanting to sing and always hearing it every day hahahah sometimes people who drinking alchohol use kareoke to sing and kids or teens sings every popular music even rap they sing it every day and they always updated because of fb and tiktok
Me watching this video while my whole family is singing in karaoke, and I'm the next one to sing 😊😊😊😊
We don't have the portable karoake machine anymore. There's internet and there's TH-cam.
Filipino is the best
That guy was surprised hearing the boy singing in English!!?? How funny, before one comments maybe he should do his assignment first, funny😂
Usually in squatter rhey have videoke again girl its not karaoke anymore but videoke
there is competition from different levels micro level within families, within towns, within cities within region, then the national level those are the competitions so the ones that gets to have aa chance national are very2 high class
He cute 🤭
Filipinos are well versed in Spanish or Latin songs way before rock and roll entered the scene.
