      From my perspective you might be right? But "Always Remain Vigilant" ~ Jesse Venture and "Alway think for yourself!" ~ Gerald Celente Myself, If it fells like "BS" and smells like "BS" then it's probably BS! I've learned a great deal from these two "Older Owls" a great deal? Even things I didn't learn around the Dinner Table my Mother always prepared "Every Night" no questions asked after working hard everyday and then actually had to compassion not to tell us lazy ass kids to "Wash" the "dishes", not the Public Education system, College and the College. For now, from my perspective "Truth Tellers" are likely spot on! Evidence? ~ Life Experience.
      Ya, gotta watch the "Truth Tellers" and always remember J.D. Rockefeller's Father "Avery" was a Snake Oil Salesman, and now Trump has filled that position with his Proxy Elon Musk!

      @@MountaineeringSense How is "being vigilant" the equivalent of believing "these two Older Owls."? Is it true that "employers raise prices because they can?" That THAT is the cause of inflation? Between 1865 and 1909, Standard Oil became the dominant oil producer and was broken up. (monopoly ) If the previous statements are true, what happened to the price of oil, and what was the rate of inflation? Be "vigilant"!

      Socialists, capitalist, etc governments don't really care what the label is. The main goal, particularly of the power hungry psychopaths typically in the upper heiarchy, is control. This is why any system that empowers government to violate the basic human rights of life liberty and property will always devolve into authoritarianism. Government is a honey pot for the power hungry....so long as the citizens are ignorant and complacent. It is up to all citizens to know this and persistently keep governments and other groups in check. And this doesn't mean line up and protest for "your portion of the stolen pie." It means when governments overreach, such as creating laws that violate Life liberty and Property or doing so without legislation, citizens must stop it and find ways to prevent it. Limit the scope of government, citizens adopt a hard money like Bitcoin, and then humanity can realize it's potential.

    Great video, a number of the most eminent market experts have been expressing their views on the severity of the impending economic downturn and the extent to which equities might plummet. This is because the economy is heading towards a recession and inflation is persistently above the Federal Reserve's 2% target. As I'm aiming to create a portfolio worth no less than $850,000 before I turn 60, I would appreciate any advice on potential investments.

    About time you talked about AI and the damage it will do. I realized the implications 2 years ago on AI. How about the merits of forcing capitalists to have the workers own 50% as they eliminate the workforce. Only fair thing to do.

    • @jgalt308
      @jgalt308 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He has...this interview is pretense since he has spent hours on "The Zero Hour" in exchange for 15 minutes here. AI is a joke as are LLM's...but for around $300 you can get one to write a book for you, sell it online for whatever you want...audio books too and animated ones. You might try your hand at "Understanding something"...and you might sell more books than Wolff.

      @@ryan-el9er That's nice...but if it can't replace what you do, then it is no threat to your job is it? Wasn't that the thrust of the interview? @ it can replace what I do…. i am obviously referring to present day and its capabilities when i explained it in my previous comment. it will be able to replace what i do given enough time and it will likely be sooner than most realize. the reason you think differently is because of your lack of understanding surrounding the technology. i work with it and recognize a lot more than most people in regards to its capabilities and where its going. the only reason you hold this opinion of yours is because you’re not really paying attention to what is going on

    • @jgalt308
      @jgalt308 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ryan-el9er@ryan-el9er But you didn't explain that in your previous comment, just like Wolff ignored the fact that decreased costs will result in lower prices...or do you think that AI applications are a noncompetitive endeavour? Meanwhile I hear fusion is coming along nicely, still decades away...but hey, who's counting? The point being, things get over-hyped
      and the result never quite measure up...and then there are people like Wolff who use it to advance that for "other" purposes. So tell me, since you have more familiarity in your particular "area", how close are you to using "your tools" to replace yourself? Next week?

    Until recently, I lived and worked in China. They are just now introducing driverless taxis that seem to be safe, efficient and cheaper than taxis with drivers. I am concerned about the taxi drivers - what work will they do? Likewise robotic cleaners, delivery robots and automatic machines to replace check out folk in supermarkets that will or already have replaced humans doing these jobs. The Chinese government will be cognisant of this and I expect that they will have some sort of a plan. They are still socialist to a fair degree. I doubt that a western capitalist government will think this way.

      Capitalism has nothing to do with government. As such terms like "state capitalism" are contradictions. China is only where it is because capitalism is no longer the economic system in the U.S. and the seeds of its final destruction were enacted in the 30s. Welcome to barter world.

    So.... as, I'm not an economist, I am a creative artist and serious high art classical musician all of my 79 years. Retirement doesn’t exist. I have merely lived by my wits very predictively. No work, no worry, lots of freedom to "play". Where, how do I get my money? Not from employers. As a creative artist, I studied Advertising Design at Art Center in Los Angeles, now in Pasadena and Vevey, Switzerland. I was asked to teach my advertising course there. I'm not a consumer for every reason! I have food, shelter, travel, entertainment and pay no taxes. I have free heath services and lifelong learning. I keep my hand in and my highest world class standard qualities as a musician and my creative art continues to develop. Money holds no interest for me other than to provide necessities. I hold two passports and a residence right in a 3rd country. I am an activist for human rights, democracy, freedom, equality and fraternity. How am I able to live comfortably? You tell me, Professor Wolf.

    In terms of AI, we can charge the companies whenever we contribute, i.e. clicking like button, writing a reply, and of course, uploading a video.
    Since everyone is literally 'generating' a value by doing something that monitored by the big data collector, established by a private company, we can SELL our activity to them! Instead of letting them collect our activity or thoughts freely.
    I think AI can actually let us implement an economic model like the Silvio Gossel's print money as you work, please mind that I'm not even close to economics. But yeah, I think this could be great opportunity to re-distribute the wealth.
    But of course, how do we make those big tech to pay us? That's my question now.

    Like anything else there will be winners and losers as technology advances and it is not always obvious who wins and who loses. Normally the people that understand and can apply the new technology will be winners. and the people that can understand the software and hardware and trouble shoot and repair the problems will be winners. The common workers and their management will be down sized.....they will not be needed when one worker can operate 5 machines and do several times the work that 500 workers did on 500 machines. I seen this working in the semiconductor field. I worked on equipment from the 1970's to 2010 era. A lot of the old stuff is still out there cranking out devices. I retired in 2017. Fyi it's a novel... Synopsis:
      A man is found brutally murdered - and the only possible perpetrator happens to be dead. As more killings follow, it becomes clear that mass carnage is being planned and organised from beyond the grave.
      The Daemon - a lethal and seemingly unstoppable computer program - is responsible and murder is the least of its capabilities. Masterminded by a twisted genius, the Daemon inhabits the systems on which society depends. In a world where everyone and everything is online, nothing is out of its reach. And as we are all connected, there is no escape...
      Explosive, action-packed, terrifyingly relevant, Daemon redefines the high-concept thriller for the information age.

    "Machines should work, people should think" - remember that slogan; ads by IBM around 1980. I like to add "and own and maintain the machines". I risk sounding like Huey Long but why not every person a CEO. Why when you speak workers do always seem to assume a caste system where workers and owners are always locked into a two-tier system from cradle to grave.

I hear they all come with free hockey sticks because they're still working out the "safe word" feature in lieu of erotic dancing capabilities.

      @@cosmicmusicreynolds3266 First, the opioid crisis is old news and the number quoted by Wolff was ( and still is ) 100,000 per year. Also 330 million was the population in 2020
      to which were added 10 to 20 million illegals, being housed, clothed and fed on the publics dime...and flown for free to their chosen destination
      The point is this...Wolff is NOT a reliable source of information about anything...and you all keep thanking him for it.

      Since the opioid crisis never exceeded 18,000 deaths/ year, and those responsible have been identified, and their attempted bankruptcy thwarted and they will now be sued and made liable for the harm they caused this is old news. The Professor cited 100, 000 deaths /year and that it is ongoing. This is a LIE...and the current crisis is from "illegally manufactured synthetic opioids"...so it has nothing to do with drug companies or pharmacies ( another LIE ) : Wolff is NOT talking about fentanyl...and its source is China, manufactured by Mexican cartels and smuggled to the U.S. by illegal immigrants.

    This guy did a poor explanation of what artificial intelligence is and how artificial intelligence impacts society. Please invite another guest to provide the clarity which was not given here. ("Artificial Intelligence" is a massive accumulation of decades of programming and instructional coding. It is evolutionary and is a natural process of technology. The key factor is that 'humans' have programmed "created" the algorithms, and therefore, corporations and business owners have control of the social /economic discrimination determination of the algorithms of the artificial intelligence; it can discriminate racially, ethnically, sexually and in many, many other ways due to the decades of collected human data from around the world until current time, moments, coupled with super microprocessing speed to resolve or address any issues or matters faster than a normal human mind; such as hiring or firing people as an example).
