You are correct. Dimash is not just range. I can't wait to see him live. I feel like no YT video can fully convey what happens there, so it has now become a bucketlist item to experience this.

@@PinnacleNL I'm going to the concert in Prague in November. You will love it! It's fantastic. I think he sings even better live, and the whole concert atmosphere is surreal. Plus, you get to meet many Dears from various countries.

I really love his songs where he doesn't show off his range as much. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE his range! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! But I also love that he's not a "one trick pony". All of his songs are fantastic in their own way, even the ones like "Golden", "Maxabbat ber Magan", and "Amanat" are some of my favorites because they feel so genuine and earthy and connected. They mean something to him and they tell a story which makes them special. I love the MV for "Golden", too; the futuristic sort of "Bladerunner" meets "Robin Hood" is awesome!
In terms of it being "more commercial", first of all I love anything he does that is marketable to the general public because songs like this just put him in front of another type of audience and help more people know him. That's never bad. Second, I see it as an anthem and I see it as very personal for him. He opens the concert on his Stranger tour with this song and the first time I heard it was watching the concert video from Almaty. He opened with this, repelling off of a HUGE screen, wearing a traditional costume representing The Golden Man which is a very important aspect of Kazakh culture. As a relatively newly independent country still trying to reconnect with their history and culture after having it repressed by others for so long I really feel that "Golden" is an anthem of power and persistence for his people. So yeah, it may be very commercially marketable but I can promise it means a lot to him on a personal level. ❤ Love from Oregon!

Dimash is music. Any kind. What is a genre but an attitude or feeling. Dimash has depth and stands by it without pretense. He just is one of the sanest most decent humans on the planet. He battles himself too, but understands life is a journey and always look toward light and love.
You should watch the music video to golden. It’s crazy and it’s fantastic. But don’t try to put it on TH-cam that’s the most restricted clip of Dimash. Watch it for yourself.
His MV for Golden is great.
He opens his concerts with this song...sure sets a great tone! If you want a treat, in the Almaty concert he sings this while jumping off a 50' or so tower on the stage! Man he really gets the crowd going...so fun! I think it's the best concert I've seen online ever! Thanks, I love your reactions!

Thanks for NOT focusing on range - Dimash himself says to NOT to focus on his range - his ability to take you “captive” & take you to another world during each performance is what we need to focus on. Yes, he has an incredible range, perfect pitch & ridiculous breath control - everyone can agree on that. He is a true performance artist in every sense of the word ❤
If you want to REALLY get blown away by a performance of this song, watch the opener of his Almaty concert. You should see how he starts this song. THAT was emotion and giving 1000% on this song. It's utterly amazing that he even dared to do that.

He doesn't place any importance on his vocal range. He has it and uses it, but his goal is to take his listeners to better worlds and I think he does it brilliantly. Of course, many of his songs also contain deep messages of love and for a peaceful world. At his concerts he also interacts a lot with the audience. He is really something special. In November I will be lucky enough to see him live for the first time. I'm really looking forward to it.

Dimash has a,ways said not to take notice of his range, it is just a tool he can use, Some of my favourites of his don’t have range, like Quaragym-ai which is heartbreaking as it is a tribute to his beloved college professor, who died from covid. Or Amanat which is like a prayer to his country or Marigolds which he sung in Kiev before the war in Ukraine. It is a traditional song and gets the audience singing part of It with him and they are a very melodic audience. Really touching.

Oh, I agree with the comments recommending that you watch Golden at the beginning of the Almaty concert Sept 2022. And I agree Dimash needs to stop doing that! He's going to break his neck one of these days! 😳 But darn! It was SPECTACULAR! FYI, that was a 70ft tall screen!

I agree 100%. However, let us not forget that as a performer, in a 3 hour concert; you HAVE to give your "instrument" a break between the super difficult range blowing songs like "Ogni Pietra" and "Stranger."

This performance was a part of a big event. Dimash is at his best at his concerts when he can completely do what he wants. In addition to his skills as a musician, he can show his talent as an entertainer there.
Personally I think his best performance of this song was on the online concert, closely followed by the Nauryz performance but as we know that never makes it through copyright.
But it's great to see reactors finally getting to see this as it's a great anthemic song with a great message.

I have not watch this version before and I must say this one is the clearest version.. vocally. His other performances of this song is more energatic and fun but his vocal usually is quite drowned out by the music and the crowed singing together. I like it both ways though..

In this concert, Dimash sings with children, “You Raise Me Up”. Check it out. He doesn’t do calesthenics with his voice, but this is one of my favorites! Dimash is so respectful to these kids! It would be awesome seeing him singing this song in 10 years with these kiddos. Very emotional! ❤

Not sure when that performance was, but it's not one of his best (just my opinion). Today Dimash opens his concerts with GOLDEN and has become very comfortable singing it with different nuances, more of a rock vibe (and when doing things like jumping off a tower as in Almaty!)

I’ve been to five of his concerts and each one opened with Golden. He has developed it a lot, with him jumping high, fireworks going off and getting the crowd to sing We are We Are We Are GOLDEN.

is Hua Chenyu from China, He gave a Sunrise Mars Concert in 2024 with 130,000 people. He also
performs for 3 hours. Dimash was on THE SINGER 2017, Hua Chenyu in 2018.
These two singers were constantly compared.
Two female singers to watch are SoHyang S. Korea. Also, compared to Dimash >"LEAN ON ME"
