Taking a wagon through the Jerral mountains sounds like a laborious idea at the best of times, during a civil war sounds worse, either side might seize the wagon thinking it supplies or aid for the enemy. Nords are said to be the best sailors and the docks at Solitude, Windhelm and Dawnstar gives a much better, faster and safer rout for cargo, hiring a ship of smugglers, or just renting space on a small cargo ship would probably be the way to go. Land on a random stretch of coast then hire a wagon and just be a dutiful, if crazy, son wheeling his dead mother to the cemetery at Falkreath. And he definitely sailed according to his journals, and stopped in the sanctuary at Dawnstar, it't a pretty straight forward journey, from Cheydinhal to Imperial City Docks, boat to the Skyrim coast, slip into dawnstar sanctuary for a few days then wagon down the Falkreath sanctuary. And I do doubt that Cicero could go the entire sea voyage without murdering everyone. He was an blood thirsty assassin denied murder for years, turned insane in self-imposed solitary confinement for years then had to endure however many days at sea dealing with noisy sailors at all hours
I was going to suggest that. Though I think he came from Cyrodil, so him being on a boat way to the north wouldn't make much sense. LOL you mention the key of a bandit from Raldbthar when killing Alain Dufont, having the Irkngthand, but then when you get to the ruins in 6 Irkngthand itself you simply neglect to mention it..

Rhrexx I’ve had this question for forever and have never been able to find an answer. If the player could actually read a spell tome, what would it say?
Interesting. No wonder Ulfric wanted to take the crown from Borgas Tumb. Anyone who wield such item became a big deal to be considered a true High King. Very interesting indeed. Awesome video man. Also, I have a suggestion of video: Things you didn't know about the Companions Guild. That theme came to mind when I doing the questline of that guild, and I doing the mission with Aela to kill some Silver Hand. In of the rooms I find the corpse of a werewolf, and in one of the pots I found Brian Hearts. Then came a crazy theory: What if, the Silver Hand was doing experiment with Werewolves using the same process the Haggraven do to create Brian Hearts? I mean, the most better way to get rid a group of Werewolves is using a army of Werewolves slaves. It is probably just a random item, but it is strange such item in that place.
What, no mention about how Cisero, a member of the dark brotherhood, carted the nightmothers body over to skyrim via ship? He was transporting very precious, very secret cargo (the nightmother), so it's not too big a stretch to think that maybe, just maybe, that was the ship Cisero was on. That he potentially killed the crew to keep them quiet about the voyage, or even to get rid of anyone who might have seen him cleaning the body, and thus seen the nightmother. Anyway these are just my thoughts, I have no access to console commands, so this is just my personal fan theory.
It's pretty funny For my current character I used an alternative start mod and started at the Brinehammer. The backstory I gave was that my character wanted to avoid legion patrols on the border and was traveling to Skyrim from Highrock The ship then crashed but he managed to survive. Now, you bringing up the possibility of it being the dark brotherhood's actions, added to the fact My character got attacked by an assassin... Twice within the first weeks of being in Skyrim. You managed to tie together and write my own character's backstory better than me without knowing it
it's not just after level 10 , the pale gets ransacked by vampires as soon as you either enter the dayspring canyon or join the dawnguard, which you can join as early as level 1, which i did, and on the way to serana's tomb cave thing i saw a couple messed up buildings, the vampire armor is actually pretty decent light armor for low levels, it has armor values close to early heavy armor and it's just sitting there
Fulthaim(butchering namd) was indeed blades member and best clue is in DB quest where Astrid makes you kill one if the possible contracts. One if them is fulthaim and that guy becouse if that name was kidnapped by mistake, the fulthaim that should have been there is the blade member, contractor most likely being thalmor
not the same guy, if you take off his mask it’s not the same fultheim in nightigale inn and even if you kill him. Fultheim in nightinale inn is still alive after that.
0:24 Imagine thinking a couple buildings in the middle of nowhere is more interesting than the home of the Dark Brotherhood, the location of a hidden chest, and the location of the quest, "Waking Nightmare", which is one of the better sidequests of the game.
*+I am a very Old man* But not before a "Wild Hunt" concept existed in TES. The first time the Wild Hunt of the Bosmer turning into monsters in the TES series was mentioned is in _TES2: Daggerfall_ (within the lore-book "A History of Daggerfall"), which was originally released in *1996.* The first time the Wild Hunt of the Aen Elle was mentioned in the Witcher series is in the first Witcher PC game, which was originally released in 2007. The "Red Riders" were Bosmer fans. Not the other way around. :3 Bethesda had a Wild Hunt idea for 11~19 years before it was cool.
fleshlight that cries The 5 tenets mention the wrath of Sithis, also in Oblivion if you break one of the tenets you are attacked by a creature called "Wrath of Sithis"
Sithis in a Deity that is far more powerful (and older) than the Aedra and Daedra combined, and has no actual physical form or gender but is usually/traditionally depicted in a skeletal form is commonly referred to as 'he/him'. I remember either hearing or reading that fact ingame (either in Oblivion or Skyrim, I honestly don't remember which game).
Does anyone else question why the bandit had a key to a dwemer dungeon for the thieves guild, could there have been a secret door that he took the key to or could there have been a secret passage from one to the other so the dwemer never had to go above ground to put themselves in danger, or did they just forget to get rid of a key and threw a bandit in with it
How much you wanna bet there's hidden lore behind a curse placed on the key? Until you find the door it opens and complete the quest, or die, you cannot get rid of it
Another theory that I recently thought of was about J'darr and J'zhar. It's not really a huge, convoluted or strong theory, but what if they were the brothers of J'zhargo, the Khajiit apprentice at the College of Winterhold? From the game's functions (and cheating), it's shown that J'zhar was a mage from the College + they share similarities in name (J'zhar-go), J'darr is mentioned as J'zhar's brother, so he's in it too + the fact that J'zhargo's sidequest has you testing out his 'Flame Cloak scrolls' could be because J'zhargo was planning to develop a spell that helped his brothers melt the glacier's thick icy walls? Tbh, the last one isn't as well-thought through, but I can't help but feel rather bad for J'zhargo.
Your videos are amazing. Most Skyrim videos you see that say “things you might’ve not known” or anything to that extent. Are all the same. Except for your content. Great job!
Irkngthand is the dwarven ruin you visit near the end of the Thieves Guild questline so the Irkngthand Consortium Key was most likely supposed to open some door or area that was most likely cut out.
Ive done the destroy the dark brotherhood quest and found the book in all the places it is supposed to be that was an unmodded playthrough. Oh and you can always find it in the falkreath sanctuary.
You think dawnstar is bad? One word. Morthal. That place feels less like a hold and more like a forgotten part of whiterun or solitude. It feels like those small villages you stop by, like riverwood rather than something like the bay of dawnstar.
"the pale lady is one my favorite quest of the game" well first time i had it, the girl waiting next to the entrance wouldn't talk to me to give me the quest. I had to pickpocket her to have it. After doing it, the Khajjit didn't appeared, i tried 30 min to do something. And after some hours of doing anything else, the quest changed from "found the stolen sword" to "kill the pale lady" So i went here, the girl wasn't here, the pale lady too. The khajjit wouldn't talk. I killed him and the lady appeared. Killed her and finally finishing this damn quest.
The Sithis book is an interesting story! If we think, who of the Dark brotherhood might have sailed on this very ship from abroad, why, this might have been Cicero. He's the one who took the Night Mother all the way to Skyrim from Bravil (I think?). Or it might be current members of the DB. Astrid stated specifically that she grew up in the Falkreath sanctuary, her husband is a nord, so they don't count. All the other members might have sailed on that ship, especially Babette - she is a few hundred years old, no one knows where she is from and she could have been to so much places.
by the way the person on the ship that would have had contract on them was a nurse of one of the many royal families in morrowind and the dark elf Brande Shea well is a noble and doesn't know his lineage and there is a entire mission to find out his lineage but I forgot which one of the houses he's from
Irkngthand is a ruin associated with the Nightingales. I think it's supposed to be an easter egg tying back to the thieves guild. ie Irkngthand Consortium = Nightingales
What I would want to do is just recreate the cities in Skyrim, like making Solitude much larger. Like having multiple villages spread out across the mountain side, somewhat close to Castle Volkihar. Of course, there’d be a minor vampire issue, but who cares. I’d also attempt to stretch Solitude out towards the Thalmor Embassy, as the Thalmor might want to keep a closer eye on those who run Skyrim. Next, Morthal. I think that a disaster should have happened to Morthal, and not to Winterhold. Maybe half the city got engulfed by the swampland. Dawnstar should have a more rich history, and shouldn’t be pushed aside as a minor city tucked in the harsh snow of Northern Tamriel. Winterhold would regain all the parts that fell during the Great Collapse. Winterhold will be Skyrim’s capital if the Stormcloaks win, and Ulfric would become Jarl of Winterhold and High King of Skyrim. Then Windhelm would have similar issues as it does in the game, Nords discriminate against the Dunmer for being Imperial spies and not taking a side. Markarth would become very interesting. I want Markarth, deep down under the city to have a massive unseen Dwemer civilization, and that would be where the Dwemer were hiding since 700 of the 1st Era. The people of Markarth would be completely oblivious to this, obviously. And Markarth would be the 2nd battle in the Civil Ware. Farkarth would be the first battle in the Civil War, as knocking out Farkarth would not allow the Imperial Legion shipping supplies North to Skyrim, unless it goes through Hammerfell and to Markarth. Whiterun would be much larger and richer. Kinda like how the Mongol Empire conquered the Silk Road, they’re in the center of Skyrim and would get a ton of trade opportunities. And, Dragonsreach would not be made out of mostly wood. Rather stone and various types of other metals. Riften would be much smaller, as I think Whiterun hold would stretch further into the Rift. Ivarstead would thus become part of Whiterun. And Helgen wouldn’t be the site of a dragon attack, rather a new village apart of the Rift. Riften would become a part of the Imperials immediately, thus Whiterun would belong to the Stormcloaks. Raven Rock would also be given the Island of Solstheim as her hold. There would be a large project to return the island back to what it once was before Red Mountain exploded.
the vigalant area can also be saved and accessed at any lvl if you use the delay dawnguard mod as you can set it to not happen until you finish the main quests or for ever until you deside to start it by putting the lvl of the start to lvl 101 which without the uncapper mod cant be reached this is also possible with the dragonborn dlc which has the same mod for download
I watched this whole video thinking you were going to talk about an area in Skyrim shaped like a "butt," but no, you said "boot." I am highly disappointed. *But* I like your videos. Subscribed.
I like to think that the assassin on the ship didn't intend to wreck them. That they had spent the journey attempting to assassinate their target but towards the end the entire crew had grown suspicious and knew that another attempt would fail and result in the assassin's death. Instead of failing to kill the one target, the assassin found that the best outcome was to wreck the ship and kill everyone on board, including themself. So they stowed their belongings into a chest and prayed to Sithis as they chucked it overboard just before taking the wheel and spun inland
I was just playing Skyrim before watching this and the same thing happened to the same bandit and gate to me. That little bit at the end made me laugh.
I’ve always wondered this but they say In game that the sea of ghosts is unforgivable to sailors and we always find ship wrecks round there. My question is where are these coming in from? The only possibilities I can think of are the other coastal cities of Skyrim and maybe even solstheim and high rock for trade. As for the coastal cities surely they’d stay closer to shore right? It’s not like they need to actually be in the open sea of ghosts so how do they get ship wrecked so often especially since these are the sea fairing nords who have been doing this for thousands of years by now. It’s not like there’s anything coming and going to the north of Skyrim, as far as we know atmora is frozen over and roscrea is completely abandoned because of supposed necromancers.
Sulla: Couldn't have entered Blackreach anyway. Vigilants: Expert Restoration trainer, fun target as a vampire before Dawnguard ever came out. I always slaughtered them before DG as a vampire. Dwemer Consortium Key: There is no sluice gate in Markarth either, the game was probably unfinished upon release. Poacher's: Do not appear if Kyne's Trials, second phase, ghost mammoth is started prior to visiting the location. Sithis: Put there so you still had an option for the book, if you turn in the Brotherhood instead of joining.
I don't know if it is supposed to happen and I don't remember it weary well, but on two different occasions I've been in the ruins of Alftand and prompted rejoining the college quest without cheating. I thing one of them might have involved necromancy.
The sithis book is probably there because the devs didnt wamt it to be inaccessible of you destroy the DB this means you can still get the "read 40 skill books" trophy
1:52 oh I killed that guy when I had to kill a Stormcloak member in that Inn for the Legion storyline and I didn’t realize that this was the blades sword he dropped, I thought it was just something ordinary
Irkngthand consortium key is used during the quest for the knowledge of the dwemer. I dont recall the names but you start the mission at the docks in Riften I believe with an argonian woman named "Delves-Deepest-Depths" or something. The key is used to exit the dungeon, and can be dropped once completed if you just...gotta get rid of it
@@auntvivienne8669 its been over 2 years since I played...but if I recall correctly you enter through Avanchnzel, but then exit through Irkngthand by using the key. Its a one way path, as you cant go through Irkngthand to get into Avanchnzel...but...its been awhile. Fact checking would be your best bet.
The real joke about the Pale is, the most interesting thing in that area is Blackreach. Which is deep underground. On the surface it's just a frozen tundra.
So, seeing that everybody's arguing about whether Sithis is genderless I'll just stay away from that one and point out the other little bit of misinformation (or at least that I noticed) (17:50) you mentioned couldn't get this book any way other than joining the Dark Brotherhood (Apart from that chest) but you can also choose to kill Astrid and wipe out the dark brotherhood and obtain it while invading their sanctuary. So technically, while you do have to start the brotherhood, joining is not a necessity Other than that I found this video quite educational and interesting, thanks for putting it up ^_^

It's pretty funny
For my current character I used an alternative start mod and started at the Brinehammer. The backstory I gave was that my character wanted to avoid legion patrols on the border and was traveling to Skyrim from Highrock
The ship then crashed but he managed to survive.
Now, you bringing up the possibility of it being the dark brotherhood's actions, added to the fact My character got attacked by an assassin... Twice within the first weeks of being in Skyrim.
You managed to tie together and write my own character's backstory better than me without knowing it
"The pacifist way"
Proceeds to slice up bandits
“OblEEEvion”
Y tho
Wegon
And the legend, "hillaaaarrious"
Thank you I was scrolling the comment section wondering why nobody mentioned that 😂😂
It’s called an accent guys
Holy moly. #2 was sooo dark and deep, so was #10. Great video on a little-known region!
it's not just after level 10 , the pale gets ransacked by vampires as soon as you either enter the dayspring canyon or join the dawnguard, which you can join as early as level 1, which i did, and on the way to serana's tomb cave thing i saw a couple messed up buildings, the vampire armor is actually pretty decent light armor for low levels, it has armor values close to early heavy armor and it's just sitting there
Fulthaim(butchering namd) was indeed blades member and best clue is in DB quest where Astrid makes you kill one if the possible contracts.
@@j.msaldski69 i meant that they confused 2 people with the same name read everything again slowly
Goku Black oh yeah you’re right, sorry for the misunderstanding.
0:24 Imagine thinking a couple buildings in the middle of nowhere is more interesting than the home of the Dark Brotherhood, the location of a hidden chest, and the location of the quest, "Waking Nightmare", which is one of the better sidequests of the game.
Didn't know wood elves were witcher fans
Lusiggy Witchers hunt monsters....and they can turn into monsters...so why would they be fans of monster hunters?
The Wild Hunt of the Bosmer was a thing long before TW3 was. :3
Pretty sure that the Wild Hunt from TW existed even before TW3
*+I am a very Old man* But not before a "Wild Hunt" concept existed in TES.
The first time the Wild Hunt of the Bosmer turning into monsters in the TES series was mentioned is in _TES2: Daggerfall_ (within the lore-book "A History of Daggerfall"), which was originally released in *1996.*
The first time the Wild Hunt of the Aen Elle was mentioned in the Witcher series is in the first Witcher PC game, which was originally released in 2007.
The "Red Riders" were Bosmer fans. Not the other way around. :3
Bethesda had a Wild Hunt idea for 11~19 years before it was cool.
Don‘t forget that the Witcher Books came before the Games. When was it mentioned there?
Did you just call Sithis a she? You have invoked the wrath of Sithis
Did you just think sithis has a wrath to be invoked? Sithis doesn't have anything. Sithis isn't anything.
fleshlight that cries The 5 tenets mention the wrath of Sithis, also in Oblivion if you break one of the tenets you are attacked by a creature called "Wrath of Sithis"
Oh ok
But sithis still doesn't have gender and it's stupid to assume that it does have any.
You could recite the entire bible in reverse and I could still watch the video just to listen to your voice.
Does anyone else question why the bandit had a key to a dwemer dungeon for the thieves guild, could there have been a secret door that he took the key to or could there have been a secret passage from one to the other so the dwemer never had to go above ground to put themselves in danger, or did they just forget to get rid of a key and threw a bandit in with it
That place Irkngthad actually exist in the game as the dwemer ruin that you go through during the Thieves guild quest line
You can also get Restoration training from Keeper Carcette if you get there before level ten as well..
The Pale on Survival mode. Holy wow, what a way to invigorate a decades old game. Also, super offended you hate The Pale so much! I LOVE it.
Nice lil Philosophy in Ockhams razor reference aha, yeah I’ve never prescribed to the notion of never multiplying entities beyond necessity either.
7 years later and i'm still learning things about this game. ES6 has competition
Your videos are amazing. Most Skyrim videos you see that say “things you might’ve not known” or anything to that extent. Are all the same. Except for your content. Great job!
Your Skyrim videos will never get old
Irkngthand is the dwarven ruin you visit near the end of the Thieves Guild questline so the Irkngthand Consortium Key was most likely supposed to open some door or area that was most likely cut out.
Keeper carcette got sims ladder removed in skyrim? Thats brutal
That one clip at the end,it happened to me with a few draugr at kolbjorn barrow in solstheim.
"the pale lady is one my favorite quest of the game"
well first time i had it, the girl waiting next to the entrance wouldn't talk to me to give me the quest. I had to pickpocket her to have it.
After doing it, the Khajjit didn't appeared, i tried 30 min to do something.
And after some hours of doing anything else, the quest changed from "found the stolen sword" to "kill the pale lady"
So i went here, the girl wasn't here, the pale lady too. The khajjit wouldn't talk.
I killed him and the lady appeared. Killed her and finally finishing this damn quest.
There's something about The Pale that freaks me out. It might be the solitude, or just the harsh atmosphere that creates a sense of impending doom.
All the other members might have sailed on that ship, especially Babette - she is a few hundred years old, no one knows where she is from and she could have been to so much places.
i wake up at 10:00 and i get on the pc and i wach this i love this chanl
I'm currently level 55 in Skyrim for the Switch, with a couple dozen hours spent in game.
I have yet to visit Dawnstar...
Morthal
by the way the person on the ship that would have had contract on them was a nurse of one of the many royal families in morrowind and the dark elf Brande Shea well is a noble and doesn't know his lineage and there is a entire mission to find out his lineage but I forgot which one of the houses he's from
I could be referencing the wrong ship but his speculation of the wrecked ship reminded me of the mission
Aaaaaaand now Ive just been reminded that morthal is a place
About the underground door in Hall of Vigilant.. there's actually a door under the Hall of Vigilant when you use TCL.
the vigalant area can also be saved and accessed at any lvl if you use the delay dawnguard mod as you can set it to not happen until you finish the main quests or for ever until you deside to start it by putting the lvl of the start to lvl 101 which without the uncapper mod cant be reached this is also possible with the dragonborn dlc which has the same mod for download
I watched this whole video thinking you were going to talk about an area in Skyrim shaped like a "butt," but no, you said "boot." I am highly disappointed. *But* I like your videos. Subscribed.
The runes mercer leaves you were written as one step ahead for me.
The key with the riddle attached is most likely from somewhere in the thieves guild quest because they have the same name
7:22 Irkngthad Consortium Key
9:27 Dwarven Ruin named Irkngthad.
*Ponders*
If you approach Fultheim with the full Thalmor Set equipped + playing as a High elf, he'll actually turn hostile.
Can you do a powerscaling challenge video on the Daedric Princes?
Sulla: Couldn't have entered Blackreach anyway.
Vigilants: Expert Restoration trainer, fun target as a vampire before Dawnguard ever came out. I always slaughtered them before DG as a vampire.
Dwemer Consortium Key: There is no sluice gate in Markarth either, the game was probably unfinished upon release.
Poacher's: Do not appear if Kyne's Trials, second phase, ghost mammoth is started prior to visiting the location.
Sithis: Put there so you still had an option for the book, if you turn in the Brotherhood instead of joining.
7:25
I didn't know what this was for until...
9:28
This is the same Dwarven ruin but I still don't think that the key has a use.
Mr Rhexx, awesome for getting back into making Skyrim videos again!
Really enjoying this series! Can you shed any light on why Wuunferth, the wizard in Windhelm, is called "The Unliving"?
he was a vampire but was then cured
I don't know if it is supposed to happen and I don't remember it weary well, but on two different occasions I've been in the ruins of Alftand and prompted rejoining the college quest without cheating. I thing one of them might have involved necromancy.
I think The Keeper Carcette is not dead. I remember Isran talking about her when you neter the dawnguard.
Lmao I ran into the pale lady mission when u were talking about it I was like wtf
the mysterious key, goes to the dungeon connected to thieve's guild. though there's no door for it.
Always good to learn a little bit more on ur favorite game. And a feel sorry for that bandit at the end. Lol not really
I so heard nutsack instead of knapsack.
Lol same lad
The sithis book is probably there because the devs didnt wamt it to be inaccessible of you destroy the DB this means you can still get the "read 40 skill books" trophy
1:52 oh I killed that guy when I had to kill a Stormcloak member in that Inn for the Legion storyline and I didn’t realize that this was the blades sword he dropped, I thought it was just something ordinary
About this blade guy in the inn, I think that if you enter the inn with the thalmor robes, he will be hostile towards you without even warning
Great Video as always ! Youre the Skyrim Lore King dude
Irkngthand consortium key is used during the quest for the knowledge of the dwemer.
I dont recall the names but you start the mission at the docks in Riften I believe with an argonian woman named "Delves-Deepest-Depths" or something.
The key is used to exit the dungeon, and can be dropped once completed if you just...gotta get rid of it
Why? That quest sends you to Avanchnzel, not Irkngthand.
Love the reference to occams razor (Not an item in Skyrim).
The last one was actually pretty damn cool
Im happy you still make videos for skyrim!
I swear I heard, "...nutsack of Sulla..."
I lost it; too great!
Thought this was about d & d pale masters, Skyrim is nice too.
For the blade swords, there is one on the weapon rack in delphines "secret" room
“Shaped like a boot” he says. I see a dress.
LOL
You forgot to mention that Fultheim becomes hostile if you show up dressed in Thalmor robes.
The Sithis book does show up somewhere else, I found it last night. Can’t remember where exactly but I think I found it in Nchuand-Zel.
So, seeing that everybody's arguing about whether Sithis is genderless I'll just stay away from that one and point out the other little bit of misinformation (or at least that I noticed)
(17:50) you mentioned couldn't get this book any way other than joining the Dark Brotherhood (Apart from that chest) but you can also choose to kill Astrid and wipe out the dark brotherhood and obtain it while invading their sanctuary. So technically, while you do have to start the brotherhood, joining is not a necessity
Other than that I found this video quite educational and interesting, thanks for putting it up ^_^
You're best Skyrim youtube channel
