    greatly appreciate this video. however it seems strange on valve's part to even add a checkbox to auto capture a radar, when there is all these extra steps involved.

    decal colour is greyed out and i cannot select it. 2:48

      Make sure all of the boxes are ticked under Tools - Options except the "reset to initial defaults at next restart"; and in shader selection untick "show preferred shaders" and tick "show dev shaders" and "show core shaders"

    the map is offset up and to the right compared to where im stainding, how do fix it?

      @@leaky4230 make sure you rebuild the radar in the compiler or in the console with minimap_create, and to update the .vmat file in the material editor (just open the file and hit ctrl s and close it). Then, go to your game/csgo_addons/mapname/panorama/images/overheadmaps and delete the old .vmat_c and remove everything between tga and the file extension on the new one

    My custom radar is working when I launch the map from hammer, but is missing when loading from the workshop. Not sure what I'm missing

      You need to compile your radar with the map. The new workshop publisher doesn't automatically pack radar files, so it's necessary to use third party compilees. I might make a video on it and release it tomorrow

    Can I put this ~cs_minimap_boundary~ box anywhere? Is only one necessary?

      You need two. You put them in the opposing corners of your map, one at say... top left, other at bottom right. They basically need to form a boundary around your map. Also make sure to make one at the highest, and the other at the lowest point of the map, otherwise it wont render those sections.

    Why would valve release unfinished version of CS2 level editor? 🤦🏻‍♂️ so lazy on their part… you either release one that works and is complete, or don’t release anything at all…

      @@V-95K Yep. And also, along with the "standard" tools necessary, the features that CS2 has pale in comparison to Source CS in general. Especially in the object manipulation department and some other things that just aren't there.

      @@elementz301 make sure you added the minimap boundary entities in the corners of your map, and account for height.

      @@robibobi212 Yep did that. Can see it generated A and B on the map. Have rebuilt a few times too, no idea why it isn't generating.

      @@elementz301 are you sure the directories you're checking are right? There are 2 directories in the video with very similar paths but different

      @@robibobi212 My both directories don't even generate the panorama/images/overheadmaps folders when i compile in fast or full, i tried adding them in but to no avail. Might be something to do with the fact that AMD users can't even get their maps to load in engine and it gives an exit code -1073741819 after compiling

    How to do it if the map has pavements? like vertigo or Nuke!

      @@robibobi212 I'm referring to maps with nuke style floors where Bomb B is below Bomb A. How to program the lower area to appear. and how to place the nav at the character's current location? Thanks for responding and apologies, I'm using automatic translator.

      @@marcelosantosdesign oh, you mean multi-layered radar! I would say for now if you're using RadGen, try to first make one layer / floor and then the other floor separately. Each floor has to have different name and defined height in the .txt file. I will try to make a new video with all the changes and things i didn't mention
