- SCP 024 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Game Show of Death.
SCP-024 is an abandoned sound stage.
Upon entering SCP024 , visitors are immediately greeted by an anonymous announcer, who communicates via intercom and is able to hear and comprehend the voices of people within SCP-024. The announcer will inform the "contestants" that they are about to take part in a game show in which the winners will win fabulous prizes, but will also warn that the game will be extremely hazardous, and that the losers will never leave SCP-024.

I'm pretty sure (assuming the file said "torch") that when it said torch it meant flashlight. Torch in places like UK is the same as a flashlight

Yeah, definitely supposed to be plastic torches, even in the U.S. some brands use that term instead of flashlight. When they got to the room the host was in I seen the torches and was like wtf is this Indiana Jones

It is very sad when someone does everything they can to achieve something for someone else or for their group, but at the end, they do not live long enough to see their hardwork pay off. Very tragic story. The dr.bob one is also sad, but this is on another level...

I feel like squid game looked at the SCP-024 article and was like “YES, WE WANT THIS!”
The secret to living in a small town, is to actually have hobbies and not rely on other people to make you happy.
Towns like this also need to have the community come together and build a RECREATION CENTER with fun activities to unite the community. RELIGION is popular in small towns and almost all of them have at least one CHURCH. Church fosters a sense of community.
But some places are monstrously boring and growing up in them sucks crap.
i lived for years at a place that isent even a town, and i enjoyed it and have no problem moving to a simular place. just a little more bus trafic than where i lived back then. there was forrests there and the sea was 200 meters away with nice places to swim during summer and several places to fish. This was In norway so walking in the forrest was not dangerous and no tresspassing laws forbiding someone to walk wherever they want in the forrest.
Pretty sure the 024 announcer makes clear the fact that the game is very deadly and also gives them the option to leave before starting the obstacle course.

That intro hits hard since I grew up on a farm and then left out of boredom then returned because of too much stress and excitement. That simple life is what we all want to return to eventually just to wait through the painful beauty of life until the bliss of death.

"The Most Dangerous Game" a classic that I am sure many had to read in English Class. Typically it involves a man who lives on a private island. Often it involves one or more guests (depending on various retellings) Resulting in the guest to try to reach a specific objective. Sometimes it involves turning the tables on the host.
G.I. Joe and Transformers both did variations on the story. The Joe story had a "toy man" who captured Flint, Lady Jaye, Baroness, and "Chrome Plate" (Cobra Commander) and they had to escape via a hot air balloon. The Transformers one involved a "hunter" seeking Prime's head as a trophy. Using various boobie traps that did catch a couple of "boobies". I think both afore mentioned episodes are available on Tubi.
Yep yep. I didn't realize there was other variations of the short storm. See, this is why English class is important kids - you never know when you're going to get trapped in a deadly showgame tilted the name of a short story about hunt humans.

A group of total badass humans, soldiers and assassins were captured and put to sleep using a chemical similar to the date rape drug and then released on an alien planet and given a few hours head start before being hunted by the predators.
It is a story, but it hunting, “game” generally refers to the animal being hunted. Meaning that “the most dangerous game” also literally refers to humans being the most dangerous thing to hunt

Well I watched a movie called the most dangerous game in the late 80s or early 90s and it was about billionaire hunters being bored with regular hunting so they found homeless people and gave them a head start and started hunting them

The small village life isn't that bad, for one, there aren't many robbers, two there are a variety of good walks near us, and lastly, our village is about half an hour from any large towns

Growing up and living in a small town all my live I agree it is boring as hell especially living in a boring state and even going to any fast food place or store is 25+ minutes away xD
I love my town though and I probably will buy a place in the same town or nearby. It’s safer than being in the city too :)

As for the intro, think you’ll find a lot of people would kill to live in a small quiet town, the noise and actions of a busy life is hard to handle sometimes, it can be relaxing staying somewhere quiet
Small towns lead to far better lives. Humans were never meant to live in huge cities.
@@Nempo13. Except that's a complete lie. Humans go where they want to go; We do what we want to do. We either choose to live in the city, the suburbs, or even the untamed wilderness. Sometimes we even choose to not stay in one place and instead roam the planet. Small towns CAN lead to better lives, but it's not a guarantee; Never was.

This is off topic to this SCP but I have a theory about SCP-001 "When Day Breaks", the theory I have is that "When Day Breaks" and "The Scarlet King" are linked together where "The Scarlett King" enters a reality and uses the sun to wipe out the human race.

There is something to be said about how bad big city are. High taxes, crime and no law enforcement. Better idea would starting a business that would make the city more interesting and fun.

I escaped my racist, dead, little hometown by joining the Army. Everyone I knew when I was a teenager is still there. They went nowhere. They saw nothing. They experienced very little. They will die there. I have seen the world. I have experienced it. Leaving was the best thing I ever did.
