Handy to see that the feet/legs can be screwed/bolted down....particularly useful to know for campervans. I like the colour too, nice brighter alternative to black especially for confined and darker spaces. Don't get conned with the lockdowns though, we need to support each other keeping going forward and not retro historic East Germany lifestyles 👍🏻
Re the fire cage. We found it worked better for us the other way up. Seems to act more like a hopper. Certainly burn less coal when we use it. Good luck with the fit out. Great job on the fire😎
timed it just right before the cold weather set in and we became unwell. Problem is its now nice and warm its hard to get motivated to start work again lol
That is an awesome looking Stove, love the colour too, very professional install job also, well done now you will be nice n toasty during winter months. 😎👍👌😏💖💖
Hi guys you had us all worried when you went awol. Fingers crossed you have got over your illness and great to see you both back 👏👏👏👏👏👏great choice of colour for you new fire. Bet your heart missed a few beats cutting your roof 😬. 😓 looking forward to next week update.
hahaha Yes John cutting big holes in our boat sends shivers down our back. What you didn't see was how many times we actually measured, re measured and discussed measuring before cutting. We could of done a whole episode on measuring hahaha. Glad you are enjoying watching👍
I'm pleased you are recovering, the spell in hospital sounds like bad news.Great to see you back with a new vlog, the stove looks good an attractive alternative to the usual black.
Thankyou Simon, Yes we love the stove and can't wait for all the finishing touches to be done now to really show it off. Yes I ended up in hospital as mine turned into a lung infection that the rest of my body didn't like so became quite scary. I am on the mend now and Ady is about a week behind me so still feeling a bit rough. We will start working again on the boat this week and hopefully get a good run of jobs done before Christmas🤞
Another great video, showing your awesome work! I was very glad to see that you had posted new content! Hope you're back to 100% soon after your illness and hospital visits!
So glad to see you guys back in action. Hopefully you guys will be feeling 100% very soon. The installation was so meticulous as with your entire build thus far. Wouldn’t expect anything thing less from you guys lol But the color wow looks so good!! In that department your always full of surprises. Can’t get over the color LOVE IT
Thankyou Joseph. Yes we love the colour. Looking forward to getting all the finishing touches done around it. hopefully we will be back in action very soon 👍
It looks very nice plenty of heat out of it don't think you need sun glasses Ade your feeling heat from a fire not the sun that's wish full thinking maybe next year ... S C UK.
Another great job. Glad you're feeling better, I love the colour of the stove. No stove in our boat as we will be fair weather boaters although we have had double radiators fitted. keep up the good work and take care.
Cheers Sean, sorry just seen your message. We got them from Aquavista Chandlers at Nantwich. We needed 2 of them for our slope. Hope they can sort you out and thanks for watching 👍
Hi, thanks so much for the clear instructional video, you guys are great! Could you let me know what you painted on the hole after cutting it? I also wondered if you had a link to the spacers you used? Thank you
Great to see you both back in action and feeling better! Was the double wall flue your choice or because of regulation? I feel that you lose so much extra heat from the insulated flue.
Thankyou. Yes the Flue was a bit of both. Because we are not boat builders and fitting a new boat out ourselves we have to follow a few more rules than if it was a fit out on an old boat. Saying that we would of chose a twin wall anyway we think. It still gets hot but where the flue meets the stove at the bottom in the single skin bit, it is very hot. We would of had to bring it a bit more forward i think for regs too with single skin. We have had some really cold weather this weekend and the boat is very warm so we are pleased we had the double skin.
Very professional job Grandad, one question, why did you choose to have the fire square on to the room and not at 45 degrees so it faces more into the room? Like the colour, never seen a coloured one before 👍
Thankyou Martin, We put it square to the room because it will be facing directly into the free space we have running down the boat. If we turned it to 45 degrees it will face directly into the arm of the sofa. Yes we are loving the colour👍
Hi Rev, Yes so far we are pleased with it. There have been a couple of small areas around the collar that the enamel has come off but other than that we really like it. Good luck with your research👍
Hello. Not sure if you'll read this but here goes - how has the adapter from the stove to the twin lined flue held up? I've been told by the same supplier and Aqueduct that it's not rated for extended use as the pain on the adapter will come off after a while as it's only rated up to 200 degrees. I have the same set up as you but hesitant to use that adapter now as they said it may not hold up after a year. Has yours?
Hello Darren, Do you mean the black adapter on the chimney from the stove or the blue collar on the stove? We have had no problems with any of the paint or any other problems with any of the black parts from the stove up. We have had some of the blue enamel flake off on the collar that joins onto the black adapter but that looks like it was bad enamelling on that part of the stove. Hope this helps and if when we light the stove for the first time this year (probs next week) we have any problems we will let you know 👍
@@makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg thanks for the quick reply. Yeah - the black funnel shaped adapter from the stove to the twin wall flue. Apparently it’s not rated for high temps I’ve been told today and that the paint will flake off after while. Good you’ve had no trouble so far. 😊
Hi Judith, The price is determined by the length of your boat and I think where they can put you. Its not cheap here especially as there are no facilities but it suits us to be near our builder and our family are not far away. We are 57ft and pay £220 a month. Electricity is separate and bought on a card and there is use of water taps around the yard.👍
Handy to see that the feet/legs can be screwed/bolted down....particularly useful to know for campervans. I like the colour too, nice brighter alternative to black especially for confined and darker spaces.

Good to see you back in action.
Thankyou 👍
As always first class workmanship, loving the Reggie vibes ... 💙👊😎💙👊😎
Thankyou Carl- Samuel, Appreciate that mate👍
Re the fire cage. We found it worked better for us the other way up. Seems to act more like a hopper. Certainly burn less coal when we use it. Good luck with the fit out. Great job on the fire😎
Thankyou Rick, Yes we have used it sometimes upside down and yes we found it better👍
Also, glad that you finally have heat on the boat!
timed it just right before the cold weather set in and we became unwell. Problem is its now nice and warm its hard to get motivated to start work again lol
Love the tile job and that color is beautiful for the fireplace. Susan
Thankyou Susan 👍

Thankyou Mitt Man. Yes it stopped us in our tracks but ready to start again now👍
I see the tongues back in action today while Adys doing the chimney 😂😂😂
hahahahaha yep
Another professional job from you guys what more should we expect ! Sorry to hear you have been sick and glad your on the mend. Cheers, Nigel
Thankyou Nigel. Yes coming out of it now so soon be back to the build 👍
No matter how sure you are and how many times you measure it must be nerve wracking making that first cut in the roof, well done.
Yes Bob, There was a lot of measuring and discussion before the cut but it worked out spot on so it was worth it👍
Well done 👍 💥💥
Thankyou 👍
Looks awesome, love the colour,it takes a bit of fine tuning to get the stove burning spot on , you’ll get there 👍
Thankyou Shaun, Yes i think we have sussed it now. Took a few attempts but we did get there.👍

Looks fantastic, you’re making such fast progress, you’ll be in the water by summer at this rate 👍
Cheers Oli, Hopefully the engine will go in end of feb beginning of march and we should be launching soon after. Your doing well mate too 👍

Thankyou George. Yes we are just searching for radiators today actually. Just takes the chill off when needed.
Great video as all of them. Have been binge watching 😝. Where did the roof wedges come from?
Cheers Sean, sorry just seen your message. We got them from Aquavista Chandlers at Nantwich. We needed 2 of them for our slope. Hope they can sort you out and thanks for watching 👍

Hi
We are researching stoves and would like to know if you are pleased with your Cosiestove ?
It was a useful blog-thanks

May need a fire surround stop the kids getting Too close to it
Yes definitely, We are having one made to fit the shape of the hearth👍
Great instructive video but why the music ? No need
