Maybe I missed something but what if you plan on hunting out west and expect shots out to say 800yds but back home your range only goes to 100yds, are you saying the scope is useless? If you shoot through a chronograph like 10 shots and take an average is that sufficient?
An average is best; but not all chronies are accurate. So it's best to buy a chrony and use someone else's. Just to double check. Maybe your club has dopler or something nicer you can check your equipment with to be sure you can trust it. Things do go out of cal as well. But generally a good question. Corporations are making things less clear for a reason; so you can sight in at one place and not hit your target at another. It's why when you get a good rifle and rangefinder and calculator and use them all together; you can't hit that 1000 yard target. They fudge things on purpose. An experienced long range competitor will be able to set you straight on such at the range if they trust you.
This would be helpful if you have the exact ballistic coefficient and using a G7 profile; but if you are off and or using a G1 profile which is common; this will true up on that distance; yet gradually get worse at every other distance. Like zeroing a red dot at one range and off at another. Not an credibly great idea; unless your BC is accurate. Now if they have a vid/course in getting your true BC first; this would be a game changer. Imagine anyone buying this scope is not shooting competition; so perhaps a different audience. But animals deserve one shot quick kills; not an it will work type thing. My two cents

Why did you guys limit this system to 800 yards/meters?
I have an 8k and I can’t do this. The icon is greyed out. Not using BDX scope just range finder
What does a 30-30 shooter use. 30-30 is not in the BDX Library for vilocities.
I only have Temperature and Altitude, all the other under are not display on the app. I have the Kilo2200BDX

Muzzle velocity sits at 349 fps won’t change. Gonna have to return mine
