They tried every possible to block Carrie and Carrie literally busted all blocks with her music. One block they put "Some Hearts" wasn't a country album. "Jesus Take The Wheel" isn't a country song, it went no. 1, so that standing ovation she got back then was saying to country music bigwigs, Carrie isn't going anywhere.
I love the love and respect the audience showed her - that standing ovation and applause went on forever. Deservedly so. So good to have her back - I think I'd forgotten what an incredible voice she has. Daaaamn. Blown away.
You could tell, Carrie was really embarrassed by that long standing ovation. She was looking for that curtain to slide over. She said that on Bobby Bones Show. She didn't expected the guy controlling the curtain, to not pull it close. The curtain guy said he saw the standing ovation and he decided Carrie deserved that length ovation and backstage people approved of it. Notice they didn't start up the walk up music for next presenters.
That was amazing. So good to see her back. I think, though, everyone was expecting to hear her say, "Thank you for all the support I've had the past 3 months." Or something. I couldn't tell by her expression what she was thinking with the standing ovation, hollering approval, etc. She might have been reverted back to her normal self again, ...shy, a bit awkward, humble Carrie again.

Nancy Doney wow. I didn't catch all of that. I saw everyone standing but what stood out to me besides this performance was Danielle Bradbury and cassadee Pope were blown away in the end and Scotty McCrearys smile and whistling during the ovation
