If you notice after Carrie made her debut at her first CMA music festival, fans got mad when she wasn't schedule at it. Fans purposely dropped the attendance down. And since Carrie has appeared at every music festival in Nashville.
I think realize why Jimmy Herman left Carrie's band. Because when he first started with Carrie, he is multi-talented performer. He can play guitar, be a backup singer, he play fiddle. Well, now other members, handle all those duties. Like Syndi Perry can play the fiddle, Scott Sheriff does backup singing for Carrie. Jimmy Herman now can record his music. He like playing for Carrie. And most likely Carrie gave him her blessings. Which why, that new guy is playing guitar.
Shawn actually answered me. He said it was just time to leave. He said was a simple as that. He actually teaches guitar to people. Carrie had no problem with him leaving. Shawn has expanded what he does now.

So, Shawn, Mark Childers and Eddie taught Carrie how to tour. And now that Carrie is in full charge of everything. Shawn decided he could go back to teaching guitar again.

Carrie laughs, when someone mentions her vocals and her legs. Carrie thinks both aren't that good. Even though her fans disagree with her. But Carrie is her worst critic to herself.
Shawn Tubbs, was teaching guitar lesson before he was asked to play for Carrie and he has decided on his own to go back and do that. He decided it was time to go. Carrie gave him, her full blessing with that.
