I found out about my severe vitamin D deficiency in March and in two months my levels went upto 33 ng from 7. I am aiming for 55ng.I started with 4K IU of d3 then went on to 10k IU along with magnesium, Vit K2, fish oil. It was life changing! I also had to correct my severe B12 and iron deficiency with shots and infusions respectively.I took a zinc + b complex capsule too. I also made some dietary changes by limiting dairy, gluten and sugar. I am a different person now. I used to have extreme hair fall, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, poor balance, bone pain, weak teeth, numbness in my toes, lack of concentration , poor memory, depression, anxiety and brain fog. My career, social life, relationships everything was suffering for so many years. I feel like over 75% of my problems are gone. It didn’t take too long, only a few months for this entire transformation. Please do not ignore nutritional deficiencies . I hope this helps people 🙏🏼

I was undiagnosed depressed for years when a doctor checked my Vitamin D in 2017. My level was at 7. I also tried unsuccessfully to get pregnant again for 5 years before that. Taking 4000 IU a day didn't get my level up. When I started taking 20,000 IU it finally got better. My drpression went away in about 2 months and when I finally had a level about 30 I got pregnant right away the next cycle!!! Vitamin D saved literally my life and gave me my second daughter. ❤

A 4!?!?!? That's the lowest I've ever heard about... Mine is a 9 and for a while I genuinely thought I was dying. Lost half of my hair, have EXTREME fatigue, more anxiety than usual....and it was all because of this deficiency. It's no joke. Let's all recover together. I can't wait for spring to come.
Edit: I'm still watching the video, I live in Spain but it seems like all doctors do the same all over the world. They tell you "that's so low! It should be around 20!" So you think "hmm yeah that's low but not THAT low. There's no way I'm feeling this bad because of this". But then you do some research and realise that it was, in fact, very very low, because 20 is still the BARE MINIMUM. I don't know why they do this but it makes me mad

Mine came back 20 and I’ve been horribly sick for a decade. You’re considered deficient at 30. I didn’t realize my illness was from this because the test before came back 29.8 and they were like “Oh, you’re only barely deficient”. None of them told me you were supposed to be 60-70. this video was so reassuring and all of these comments as well. I recently found out I was at a level 14 after I made an over the phone appointment with a random doctor because my doctor didn’t have any available appointments. The doctor was a woman and immediately after telling her my symptoms and how I was feeling she said she wanted to do blood work for anemia, diabetes, thyroid levels, and a few vitamins. She got back to me a week later and told me I have a vitamin D deficiency. I then went to my doctor and asked him if he could elaborate on this deficiency and if it’s connected to my symptoms. He said something “mechanical” might just be wrong in my body and he said was that most Americans are deficient in vitamin D and there usually aren’t symptoms. This left me feeling even more crazy and confused. Since then I’ve been on the 50k vitamins once a week thanks to the first doctor and doing my own research to learn more. Videos like these really give me all the reassurance I need because my doctor couldn’t.

Because I realized my full potential and how productive I could really be once I got the prescription. Loved your video ! I had the same suspicions as you recently since my symptoms had been getting worse and my new patient appointment isn’t until early January, so I decided to order my blood work myself, and I highly recommend it now! I ordered multiple different blood tests (B12, Vitamin D, iron, etc.) scheduled the appointment for the next morning and got all my results the day after and I got a call advising me of my low Vitamin D and was able to talk with a physician to go over my results over the phone the same day. My vitamin D was at 17 and he recommended for me to take 2000IU of D3 once a day and I only started 2 days ago and have felt a world of a difference. I don’t feel nearly as tired anymore and had such a productive workday yesterday I’m very hopeful with these new changes I’ve made and with the vitamins by the time I see my doctor I’ll feel waaay better but I’m still gonna make it a conversation, I’ve learned during this experience in the medical world you’re your biggest advocate and you gotta fight for you cause no one else will. It’s so easy to get in that self blaming mindset when you aren’t productive enough or consider yourself “lazy” I’ve definitely learned to be more compassionate with myself as well, I hope you’re doing well since you posted this video ! ❤️

I found out I had moderate vitamin D deficiency this week (measured at 23nmol/L). I have no idea when my vitamin deficiency started but I suspect it was at the end of last year when I decided to go on caloric deficit. I'm in Australia so we had lockdowns late last year which didn't help getting sunlight either.
In terms of symptoms I felt the same way as you did with regards to motivation. I wasn't depressed but felt that everything I did required extra effort to do. I'm a type of person who likes to stay motivated and get "stuff" done whether it is work or exercise but the last 6 months has been a real struggle. I thought I was being lazy but in hindsight it was my mind not being able to concentrate effectively. My sleep was also severely impacted to the point I was only getting 4-5 hours of sleep.
I started my vitamin D supplements this week and I feel somewhat better but still a long way to go!

Diagnosed with severe Vitamin D deficiency today after months of tests for anemia, hypothyroidism, b12 deficiency, estrogen dominance, god knows what else they've tested me for...add to that a year of an antidepressant, today I have a possible diagnosis. I've felt the same, lacking motivation, now approaching pure constant exhaustion, brain fogginess, and more recently aching knees & hips. I've been describing how I feel as "wholebody tired". Not 1 day in over a year have I felt like a normal functioning human. I'm only 40 & have always been an incredibly active, athletic, self motivated person. Ive been Vegetarian for 6 years, never fully dropped dairy, so I'm not Vegan. Ive been struggling with feeling as I had become freaking lazy & this was just where I was gonna be as I turn 40. Although I live in sunny Phoenix, I have shunned the sun since my early 20s to starve off photoaging, sun spots, cancer etc. Now I guess I'm paying the price for taking care of my skin. Picking up my pharmaceutical grade Vit D tomorrow. I hope this is the answer & Remedy. Video was helpful.

Iv'e always had anxiety. and depression has come and gone due to some life events these past 5 years, and throughout it all and before these past 5 years, my body, bones, neck, back have always ached.. a doctor told me it was just my posture i needed to fix, lose some weight, but even when i was my most active and healthy my body always ached... the last years though and past 9 months or so.. my depression, aches. energy got worse... i was so tired after work.. i could still push through to get to work and take care of other priorities regarding people in my life.. but my own shit.. was hard to keep up with, like my health, social life, my art. mind you i'm an illustrator that has produced almost nothing these past months cause when i get time for myself.... i'm so exhausted.. let the sadness and laziness get to me... so much self shame was happening adding on to depression and anxious thoughts that i was constantly having panic attacks... i was also isolating myself... two weeks ago i started feeling pins n needles/numb feeling on my arms at night and during the day at times, my upper back and neck pain was at its worst that i had so many crying spells daily.. and the fatigue was strong along with so much irritability with others and myself... so the nurse at my job encouraged me to seek a doctor a new one, went in spilled everything out - made it a point to say i didnt want to be on antidepressants like i had been in the past.. this doctor checked everything and had me get blood drawn to look at everything and they found i am vitamin d deficient... which explains so much... so anyway.. so happy you're sharing this, i can resonate so much when you say that you thought to yourself, am i being lazy? but it gets to the point where its so out of our control! thank you

I went to my doctor with extreme fatigue, mood swings/being down, hair loss, muscle soreness. I was advised by a consultant to get a blood test but my GP said none of these symptoms are related to low vit D even though my bloods came back as 10ng/ml and everything else was normal. She insisted that tiredness has absolutely no relation and yet everyone I find talking about it/ studies state it’s one of the most common symptoms. Currently feel like I’m making these symptoms up but a lot of mornings it’s hard to even get the energy to get out of bed.

I was so mad at myself and everything around me for so long that i failed at the crucial moment. After that i went on without the urge to study anything or do anything productive for 2 years and finally i was so tired and started having chronic spinal pain and when i scanned my back, my c2-c6, d1-d2 were practically deteriorated. I am 65 years, nine months and 22 days as of this comment. I just found out that I have low vitamin D. I am a very physical female that do the necessary everyday responsibilities and never gets tired or exhausted. My Primary Care Provider prescribed Vitamin D for me to take once a week. I have not had any cold or pain medications in my body for decades. I went online to see side effects of taking Vitamin D pills and saw lots of negative side effects. I came on TH-cam to hear other people stories taking Vitamin D pills. My hair has been thinning for many years and I do have a balding spot in the front top roof. I wear my hair natural and enjoy not spending my time worrying on hairstyles. I will be searching online to see what else to get vitamin D up to normal. I have not taken the Vitamin D pill as of this comment. If numbers from hospital tests is what they go by for deficiency, then we all will have low or high or abnormal results. I want to know which company made the Vitamin D pill and what is in the pill. Whatever they did I want to make it myself. If I had to depend on taking a pill to have my Vitamin D sufficient, I would be an addict needing it. The sun should be my Vitamin D source and as much as I love the sun’s brightness and heat, I will be getting out more. I worked in the sun for over 30 plus years doing lawn service. The heat never bothered me and I really loved my work and the outdoor life.

I droped to 5. I had strange blood pressure problems where if I would get up fast my head would feel like it was going to explode. Did you have memory problems? This is also one of the symptoms of low vitamin D. It got so bad that I would leave a freshly poured glass of water on the kitchen counter to then come across it casually and realize: how in the h did I just forget that. Also when I would talk to my friends I would forget a lot of things; like my total recall and my photographic memory were nil. I always had strong memory when I was younger; After recovering I still do, but with the vitamin d deficiency I was in a muddle of confusion as to why my once good memory went to crap miced with my constant memory issues. I was always tired too and cold. I never wanted to do anything either. Id turn my space heater on and curl up under the blankets. I felt like I was going mad. All these things are gone after 3 months on vitamin d supplements and a mg my doc prescribed to me: I don't recall the mg amount. As High melanin folks we need more sun than the other lighter complexion peoples. NYC is a dark city, ideally we belong in heat and sunshine and happiness lol I also felt it was due to age, that is not the case. My Dr took my blood work did a Metabolic Test as well as vitamin D test . I was called and told the same my vitamin D was extremely low. Dr quickly set a prescription for Vitamin D 50,000 IU twice a week. I too had depression , tired dizzy and now I’m glad this was discovered . I’m happy to be on my way up and finding the cause. Also I take Zoloft with my Vitamin d . Anti depressant and anxiety med. It’s been 2 days abs already feel less tired . I use to leave work early because I will fall asleep during my calls with customers. Take care hope everyone gets better ! Health is wealth and listen to your body . It can save your life in certain situations.

Prior to my Vit D deficiency I had a lot of energy. I worked labor and was under the sun for 4-6 hours per day from Mon-Sat.
I ate a lot of steak and had a lot of energy. I felt like superman. Fast forward to this year I finally transitioned to running my own businesses and was more indoors and ate poorly. I went from Superman to having no energy to grab groceries or cook. It led to low appetite, dry skin, dandruff, low T, easily stressed, procastination, bloating, ankle pain, weight gain, and eating once or twice a day tops. It caused a lot of digestive issues (IBS). My wounds wouldn't even heal fast enough like it use to.
I'm currently taking 4,000 IU of D3 per day, increased my protein intake. My calcium, magnesium, and K2 are all in one pill. You need to take those when taking Vit D.
Food alternatives: raw cacao has high amount of magnesium, like a lot. Kefir for calcium and vitamins and high probiotics.
fish, chicken, beef, chicken liver, eggs contains all sort of amino acids and co. Pretty easy to eat those every day.
Sliced and sun dried mushrooms for Vit D2.

My doctor told me that my vitamin D levels we’re at 20 and then proceeded to tell me that those levels weren’t that low. But I feel like that is in accurate because I have been having a crazy amount of symptoms. I have heart palpitations, chest pain, dizziness, extreme muscle weakness, brain fog, and the list goes on. I feel like a lot of doctors have different opinions and mixed opinions about what levels are actually low. They have me on thyroid medicine which I think is bullshit because the whole time they told me to stop supplementing and told me I had a thyroid problem. I’m 21 years old and I’ve been suffering with this for almost a year now. I don’t know what I should do at this point.

Lately over the past year I have experienced heart palpations, flutters, tremors, fatigue, I can't concentrate, more headaches than normal etc. I was told after my 2 recent labs that my vitamin D is low. I almost convinced these symptoms are vitamin D deficiency. I am going to start taking magnesium too. I have been through what feels like hell over the past 2 years. I pray for relief.

Our days are not spent outside anymore (for most of us).
Buy 4000-5000u with MK7, and take daily with food. *Pills are not enough* - *you need sun exposure also!*
Also, take a broad base magnesium supplement daily.
Get 10-20 mins of sun exposure on large portions of bare skin either at 10am or 3pm (adjust for latitude and skin tone). Find a private place in the backyard. If you get sunburnt, shorten the duration.
      Eat dark leafy vegetables.
If you can, get an hour more of sleep each night.
I've had all typical health issues - fatigue, digestive issues, headaches, heart issues, mild/moderate depression etc etc.
I'm convinced the recommendations are not high enough. I believe some people are prone to not obsorb vit d effectively.
I'm a redhead, fair skinned, living in Australia - I've always struggled, consistently with values around 20. Levels need to be between 50-70 - a massive difference in health now. ❤

Thank you for sharing this information. I just found out im vitamin d deficienct as well. Would like to ADD THAT 15 - 20 minutes in the sun is for Wyt people. Black people need between 45-1 hour sun exposure because our melanin makes it hard to absorb♡♡ also, liquid vitamin D is best. More expensive but its absorbed faster.
