Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age: Origins are among the best single player RPGs from the 2000s. I'm currently replaying DA:O and the gameply still holds up 16 years after release.
My friend bought Mirror's Edge and couldn't get into because of the unmappable control scheme. It was one of the, if not first, game to use the bumpers and triggers for jumping and other movements. I found it awkward at first too, but quickly got used to it and now it's still one of my favorite games I own.
I could argue for 2 and 3 have emotional aspects but not the main focus. The first one doesn’t really have any, but I would say gears 2 finding doms wife was plenty emotional for what it was as well as dom’s sacrifice.
@ everybody says that Dom losing his wife was emotional but it didn’t have any impact on me. Dom losing his wife didn’t feel earned. That scene felt dramatic for the sake of being dramatic so it just falls flat.
@@yoshikombat5217 Oh! Well… If someone enjoyed these games there is no possible way they could enjoy another game from the same generation. Your point is extremely impressive.
@@UnrealAxel27 You’re absolutely right, there is no wiggle room at all. I mean, obviously people that are clicking on this video only care about games that fall within that decade, and wouldn’t be interested in anything else.
Wow some people saying there was nothing good on this list... lol. Really? They probably claim to be gamers but dont actually play anything becuase they think everything is woke. There was only 2 on this list I didnt like (which is fine becuas not everythingis made for everone), not because they were bad but they were just not my kinna game. I played gear 1, 2 and 3 but just didnt like the game. Found it boring af, and mirrors edge. Just never really cared for it either. Oblivion though... its not without its flaws but it was bethesdas magnum opus and had tons of atmosphere. The breeze home quest was genuinely cool and who could forget the shivering isles or stealing the elder scroll for the grey fox? Must have put 4k + hours into that game. Farcry 2 was fantastic too.
This video deserves a part 2 or even 3. The 2000's has a lot of good games.
1:23 3:21 You guys okay?

I know Bioware is getting a lot of controversy right now but the original Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect and Dragon Age are great games.
the better days of gaming. god i miss those days 😢

I would add Bioshock, Eternal Darkness, and RE1 Remake.
I second RE 1 Remake!
1:23 LMFAO
3:23 as well. Pretty sure they are using AI to write scripts and are now using their voice actor AI to put out lazy content. I suggest to unsubscribe.
@@staticthreat0 wow, you're right
@@staticthreat0 It literally looks like an editing mistake. Stop assuming everything is AI
2:29 New Vegas was the best. Nice list though.
There is absolutely nothing emotional about the Gears of War narrative.
Unless you are crying tears of boredom.
Yeah those games have never had a compelling narrative or characters.
I could argue for 2 and 3 have emotional aspects but not the main focus. The first one doesn’t really have any, but I would say gears 2 finding doms wife was plenty emotional for what it was as well as dom’s sacrifice.

Brutal Legend and Wet are two games id recommend to anyone looking for a 2000s single player game
Burnout 3 or Revenge are must play all time classics
TimeShift should be included as well
1:24 what the hell is that?
They are using AI
Would switch out The Darkness or Mirror's Edge for Bioshock (or both for that and RE4).
You guys blatantly using AI to stitch these videos together. Wouldn’t be surprised if Ai has written the script too. Unsubscribed.
The 360 and Xbox live really pushed for online multiplayer
Bioshock?!
I’d like to throw Kingdoms of Amalore out there. They game was a banger!
It was, but that game came out in 2012.

The point is the list is explicitly in the range of 2000-2009 @jackjmaheriii
@jackjmaheriii please, get some help.

Yeah this list is incomplete. Off the the top of my head yall put the darkness (good game) but didn’t include RE4, bioshock, mass effect, halos etc.
The title says 15, not top 15
I undusted off the old 360.. playing some gta4 abs halo3
"fallout 3 is regarded as the best in the series" someone forgot that new vegas is a thing
Or the other 2 older games that are still regarded as better than 3
Super Mario Galaxy is literally on Switch… lmao
Was literally thinking the same thing. Guess that's what happens when you get a script and probably don't even play games

yeah i don't understand most of them were true bangers back in the day when i played them
FARCRY 2😂😂😂
Please work on your script writing. There’s no need for all the big synonyms of basic words when you aren’t saying anything complicated.
