      What is your Bosto model?. I found that Bosto already put the new firmware to their 13HD V3 model. To verify that you have the V3 (3rd Gen) model, just check the cable. V3 cable is removable with mini HDMI+USB Type-C interface. If you just bought it then you might already have the driver in the included flash drive. All you need to do is install the driver from that thing and restart your PC and plug in the USB cable for the tablet. No need for flashing firmware.

      They are outdated , if you buy a new tablet from Bosto or your tablet is not older than 5 years, you probably have the Cintiq-ready firmware device!

      Does your Bosto has 2 in 1 USB-C,HDMI Cable with the blue light? if yes then try to install Wacom Cintiq 13HD driver for MAC again

      If your Bosto tablet comes with REMOVABLE 2-in-1 cable then it is the 3rd Gen version which I think is ALREADY HAS the Wacom compatible firmware . NO NEED FOR FIRMWARE UPGRADE. You better not try to do anything about that. Only download and install a Wacom Cintiq 13HD driver is suitable for you.

    Hi, I know this video is from a little time ago, but do you know if this method works with de Bosto 22HDX.

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the only model capable to flash new Wacom firmware are 13HD, 22U and 22UX , they are both come with new battery-pen...

    • @hugotimal
      @hugotimal 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ROOTATUBE I see, what a shame, thank you for your your answer by the way. I have another question I hope you could help me, do you know if I bought a pen for the model 22ux, the one that come with 2 programable buttons, it would work with my model 22hdx, because I really need the option of the 2 buttons for a 3d work environment.

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hugotimal I think it would not work since your 22HDX came with a battery-less pen which is different from the battery-pen for 22U. If you really need more buttons for your 3D software then you have to try new pen display from Huion or Xp-pen. I have tried them a few models and found that their pens work pretty well with any software also highly customizable for both pen buttons. OR you could try to use a joystick controller and map a mouse click to its button just like I did with my PS-Move navigation controller as you can see in this video : th-cam.com/video/LcilO5CsfHM/w-d-xo.html

    Planning to get this. How is this when you have a macbook pro retina display?

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not own a Macbook pro . IMO you should be able to connect this display via USB 3.0 and set it to fullHD only (1920x1080) because it's the native resolution for this display. if your macbook got only usb 2.0 port you are likely able to connect it via a USB Y cable adapter (www.ebay.com/itm/161726069913) for additional power provided. I already test the screen with my USB Y cable adapter and it works fine.
      You will need a Displaylink software install in order to use this device as the second display.
      There are drivers avaiable for OS X as in the link below... I can not test this though.
      www.displaylink.com/downloads/osx
      Please keep in mind that there is no official driver for Mac from Bosto yet, but they said in the forum that the thirdparty firmware will eventually turn the device to act like a Cintiq 22HD and I already proved it in this video but it was a test on Windows 7 & Windows 10 only.
      Remember you will need a windows PC to update the device firmware before trying to connect it to your Macbook! Also the 3rd party firmware developer suggests to use the hacked device with a Wacom 13HD 6.3.10-w2 Mac/Windows drivers only.
      I hope you will be able to use this as I did ^ ^. It's a very cheap looking portable display that works for me!

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also make note that the device's side buttons are configurable only with the Bosto KeyRollSet software, (Mac version found here : forum.bosto.co/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=449) I hope the developer can make the device buttons configurable via Wacom driver...

    • @FriarHavs
      @FriarHavs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nirut Tamchoo thanks for the reply but the macbook pro resolution is 2880x12xx

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you can use it as the second screen, and the resolution for it can be different from the main screen right ? I use 3 monitors at home and none of them having the same resolution at all... (1680x1050 and 1600x900 and 1920x1080) I think Mac can do this too...
      Even the 15inch portable display like this is available only at a FullHD (1920x1080) resolution and they said it will work for Apple's Retina MacBook...
      www.macrumors.com/2016/01/05/asus-usb-c-portable-display/
      I dont think we can get a portable display for a higher resolution than FullHD...

    • @FriarHavs
      @FriarHavs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm hoping to use it to mirror the resolution on my MBP. Cintiq 13HD also has a 1920x1080 resolution but seems to be able to mirror the retina display on MBP. So I guess that's that. I'm asking the seller what to do for repairs after the warranty.

    Could it access the Internet on its own or does it need to be linked up to something

    • @ROOTATUBE

      This device is the Pen Display thus it needs to connect to another PC when use.

      Could you use a chord to stream it onto a computer like a live stream

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Treble Clef this thing is basically a display with pen and it can't stream anything to PC, instead it takes a video signal from the PC and just show it like a typical display for PC. The special thing about this is you can use a pen on it and draw or click to it like a tablet but it has to connect to PC via a USB 3.0 cable.

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      1st generation model ships without any screen protector so scratches are welcome when you draw on the screen for some period of time. 3rd generation doesn't have any problem since it got pre-installed screen protector which is replaceable.

    • @ROOTATUBE

      1. Install driver from the included USB Drive
      2. Connect the HDMI and USB end of the 2-in-1 cable to HDMI,USB port on your PC
      3. Connect the other end of 2-in-1 cable to your Bosto 13HD which is the USB-C port
      4. Turn on the Bosto 13HD by pressing the on/off button at the back
      5. Waiting for your PC to recognize the device. It's name should be a WACOM TABLET.
      6. You should be able to use the pen now

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to find out does your model still detected as a Cintiq 22HD on another Windows PC or not. I think MAC OS now has very strict security upgrade that causes many drivers to stop working and you need to add the exception rule in the system preference. BTW, What is the driver version from the included USB key?

    Bosto 14WX or the 13HD? Which one is better?

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A new generation of 13HD uses HDMI connection for display signal as well as the 14WX so the pen performance could be on par for both of them. The 14wx pen does not require charging or battery so it is very convenience to use the only downside of 14wx is its pen button. You can only change the config for one pen button while another button is locked to eraser... If you really need both pen button configurable then go for 13HD. Also Wacom driver makes 13HD really useful with almost every professional software (14wx dose not have a firmware to support Wacom driver).

    Does the display have any parallax? (distance between the pen and where it draws)

    • @ROOTATUBE
      @ROOTATUBE  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ํYes, the top-half of my screen had more parallax than the bottom part. Since I 'd adapted my self to focus on the cursor (not the pen tip) , this issue for me is nothing... but the lag of the cursor is even more annoying because of the DisplayLink+USB connection... The newest model solved this by using HDMI cable... which is a lot better.
