The fact that it has so many secret GUIs that are very well made and are user friendly really makes me think Mojang is trying to limit us from creating good add-ons and encourage us to purchase the high quality packs from the marketplace.
They aren't trying to limit anything... and quite a bit of stuff on the marketplace is lower quality than what addon devs have made without these tools. Mojang consistently uploads new vanilla packs for addon devs to experiment with, pretty detailed documentation, and new code/queries/components/etc for us to use. While the stuff the dev build adds is helpful, none of it seems to be anything addons couldn't already do. (not including the pink grass)
Well Microsoft added the marketplace cause microsoft braught minecraft. Oh and since it's bedrock it's able to be played on most consoles and mobile devices.

You can use some of the dev stuff in the commercial verison for free without other stuff like marketplace creator using block to graph for mobile which somehow can access some of dev stuff like spectator mode but not all because it isn't the dev version

I swear, Oh yea, this version was avalible on mobile if you subscribed to the beta testing thing on play store, basically you could access the version by currently playing the game, meanwhile the game is opened you needed to go to play store and a beta tester signup thing was there, if you clicked it, it enabled the beta version, equal to this, i guess it can't be accessed anymore that way, now it probably gives you an experimental build of the cave update.

1:26 god, what memories, i remember when i played minecraft on ps3 and in flat world, when you created a nether portal in flat world (in ps3 minecraft) and entered the nether it was completely flat i also remember that when you reached the limit of the nether there was like a barrier of bedrock blocks.

It then fixed a few days later, went back to Beta, then permanently fixed. Still confused to this day
to everyone saying bedrock f3 debug is more advanced, its really not, its actually bloated with useless information. the java f3 debug simply tells you everything you should need to know at any given time without all the bloat. but sadly you dont know how to read it properly.

fun fact, these developer options can be turned on to be visible IF you have dabbled in JSON UI (the texture pack code) you can change the UI and add these debug options. My UI Pack (Crxzy UI) actually features Spectator mode toggle in the edit world screen.
Even though marketplace developers are allowed to use this, marketplace team owners dont always just give it to them since mojang are really strict about the public transfers between people.
