I miss going to the food pantries spent 15 days in the hospital day 7 nursing home rehab will be out December 1st Two of our local pantries gave out the holiday basket so a good friend picked up mine. This time of the year the pantries give gift certificates for different grocery stores. One gave out $10 gift certificate for Kroger and then the second Saturday in December you pick up your holiday basket and they give you a $20 gift certificate for Aldi ( total $30 ) the other pantry gave out a few food items and a $20 certificate for Save-A-Lot those gift cards are very useful
I make a pantry casserole that's really good and really easy to make. 1 cup of dried rice cooked. Put it in a casserole dish with drained one can of chicken, drained can of green beans, optional drain can of mushrooms, can of cream of mushroom soup, give that all a mix with salt and pepper. Fold in the fried onions. Top it with fried onions and bake it for 25 minutes.
Wow. What a great variety of foods. They don't give that much here in my area of Ky but they do the best they can with the large number of people needing help
Skellig Michael is an island off the coast of County Kerry in Ireland. There's a monastery there that's a UNESCO world heritage site. I'm guessing its going to have a crunch to it from Calcium Lactate crystals. It should be good!
@CandanceBrewer I'd just eat it with crackers or bread. I know you try to be low carb though, so maybe some slices of crisp, sharp apple instead of bread? It would probably be amazing in cooking too, but if you like your cheese, try it straight first and see what you think! The Irish make good cheddar. I live a few miles from Cheddar, where the cheese came from originally, so I won't say the Irish stuff is as good as ours, though! There's still one cheese maker maturing cheese in the caves at Cheddar, but most mature it in special cold stores nowadays.

Chinese dumplins with the wasabi and fried onions on top. I also like teriyaki and spicy mustard with a bit of yum yum on mine. You can also add green onions on top. DEELISHOUS!!!
I got a recipe online that you coat boneless chicken breast with the fried onions and bake them. I mash the breast sort of flat so they will bake evenly.
must be dif in the uk with food banks u can go if you have nothing no food or money hear if you can drive to the food bank u can afford food this is in the uk x
I get boneless skinless chicken breast season coat with mayo and roll it in the onion mix and bake. I don't remember the temp but used to make it all the time for my parents very good
It is a lot of work, but I wouldn't consider it a job. I love going, yes. It helps my family and I'm able to help and bless so many others as well. Thanks for watching 💞
WOW - That is such a judgmental statement. You know nothing about me or anyone else who is receiving help. Some people have no car, some get a ride from someone, perhaps in a nice car. Some people are barely able to rent a room, perhaps in a nice house. We should not be so quick to judge others whom we know, not their circumstances. 🙏💞🙏 We should not judge others, period!

I think you can mix sticky rice with wasabi, tuna and salad. It would make a good meal too. So happy to see what you got :)

You can use French fried onions on a baked potato or use it like breadcrumbs for baked chicken.
