Thanks for starting off with Filyovskaya line, Tim! I grew up using this line and it's a pleasure using these new Moskva mk. 2 sets, my favourite rolling stock type in Moscow.
As you can see from the map at 1:51 all the lines operate independently, hence the famous punctuality. Maybe even the London Underground could run on time if none of the lines shared track!
Despite that, ALL the lines are connected by track, unlike many systems of such size. But these connections are only used outside of normal passenger services.
My favorite train in Moscow metro is Metrowagonsmach 81-765
Agreed, they're awesome, the best train type developed in Russia.
Only it's Metrovagonmash (or Metrowagonmash), and this series bears a name Moskva.

Paris is also many independent lines with interconnecting tracks with each other for rolling stock transfers.
