Some good tips today. Have to say the regular pillow case wash is a great one in my opinion. Tell you what scares me about ads for washing products is all the smells and super boost pearls to add to your wash they promote lately. Yuk ! Cannot stand all those false scents - makes me feel itchy to just think of them.
Tell your kids they did an amazing job straightening up the living room for us! 👍👍 Really great ideas... I just changed our pillowcases and, whenever I need to buy new sheets, I look for sets that come with 4 of them. My main 'atomic habit' is resetting the kitchen after I eat breakfast. If I have enough steam to tackle it again after dinner, that's a bonus. I usually just tidy up the living room in the evening. One thing that's helped me is to do 1 bathroom cleaning task and 1 kitchen cleaning task (over and above the daily reset) each weekday. Then, on the weekend, I'll work on a different room or area.
For me, I didn't start washing sheets and linens every week until I became an empty nester and beyond. Before that, it was a lot less often with kids in the house. Now, I also have extra pillow cases that I will sometimes change in the middle of the week. I will say that in this stage of life, it is generally easier and more pleasurable to upkeep cleaning tasks and keeping the home tidy.
Thanks Taryn! I love the way there are always new ideas & tips on your channel. I particularly like the brilliant advice to do a deep cleanse of one thing each day. It makes sense & takes the pressure off. BTW, I notice how gleaming your wooden floors are in the background...so fresh looking & welcoming!
My husband works out of our house ; massage therapist. Home needs to be spotless & smelling like a spa at nearly all times. It's a high standard to live up to ! But a powerful motivator
Also, learned this from a childcare facility where I worked and it is so easy and satisfying. After you wash the counters and wipe the sink down, wipe them with a towel, and they shine! Great video again!
I ve been keeping up-When young grandchildren sleepover for 2 nights every 2 weeks -it is back to like having so much more to do -Keep the videos coming ty they have me running in circles lol
Great ideas! Everything has a home. I love walking into the kitchen in the morning and the sink is empty and the counter is clear! Pillow case idea is great too.
Great tip about deep cleaning one thing every day for a substantial cumulative effect over a period of time!! I also do most of those daily tips to keep house tidy.
I have 2 indoor cats and I hoover floors, bed and couch everyday. Takes me 5 mins, I also do dishes twice a day and plump my cushions on my couch when I go through to bed at night. Just means place looks tidy when I come through in the morning.
About the laundry: yes to everything except folding it right away. What I do is I have a table where I place it flat and stacked onto each other. I use the dryer door to hang over the clothes on top of each other starting with a sheet or large towel which then I carry to place onto the flat surface or table and then I fold the clothes when I get the chance.
