- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 2 พ.ค. 2023
- In this 3D analysis, we compare the lap times of the slowest F1 car from 2020, the Williams FW43 driven by Nicholas Latifi, to the fastest F1 car from 2023, the Red Bull RB19 driven by Max Verstappen. Both laps were recorded during qualifying at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Through the use of CGI technology, we'll take a closer look at the differences between these two cars and see just how much faster or slower the RB19 is compared to the FW43.
Don't miss out on this exciting comparison as we delve into the world of F1 racing and analyze these laps like never before.

even with a slower car Goatifi almost got Verstappen, only didn't cause he is humble and also used only 0,1% of his power.
Dead meme
@@FH4Player6397 i chuckled
You mean speed 😂
@@jessadahawley8260 That only shows how humble he is since the equation for power is P = W/t
P stands for power (in watts)
W stands for the amount of work done (in Joules) or energy expended (in Joules)
t stands for the amount of time (in seconds)
In calculus terms, power is the derivative of work with respect to time. If work is done faster, power is higher. If work is done slower, power is smaller.
Since work is force times displacement (W=F*d), and velocity is displacement over time (v=d/t), power equals force times velocity: P = F*v. More power is seen when the system is both strong in force and fast in velocity.

That's not the case here.. analyze and you see.. max gains places while throttling off Corners.. yet latiffi always gains in straight line..but, the total amount of time max gains in Cor ners made the difference.. and at the start latiffi went ahead.... Conclusion: Williams is faster than red bull in a straight line.. but the car doesn't like going around the corners..and the. time lost makes it the slowest car despite having straight line speed.. and Williams have the same problem in 2023
Latifi closer to Verstappen than either Merc this year 😂

Cool to see the differential between the regulation classes. How about the same cars between regulations? 2020 RB vs 2023 RB.
2020 will win by like 2 seconds
27.6 vs 29.7
Maybe 2025 cars can do a 27 if the regulations remain stable.
need to see that 2020 merc vs 2023 merc lmao
i think 2020 was just on another level, the 2023 cars are the second fastest F1 cars ever made, after of course the 2020 cars. yet theres still a 2 second gap.
@@tikket10 Sure, but that's on purpose. The regulations are designed to keep slowing the cars down, it usually takes 2-3 years to catch up and surpass those deductions.
impressive how fast latifi was going on his out-lap, imagine his fast lap, he’s truly the goat
Williams car is a rocket in straight line 😳
They have no downforce, typically the fastest straight line teams historically were back markers who trimmed what little aero they had in order to be the leader of a DRS train and try to get some points.
@gpage relatively no downforce then, right now, with the right driver, any of the 2020 cars would smoke these new cars, even the Williams
@Game Over Possibly, but what's your point of this comparison?
@@gpaje no no it's not a comparison just pointing it out, I got no point to prove here dw
@Game Over No worries, nothing wrong with comparing for the sake or fun of it.
the RB19 is approx 2.5 sec slower than the w11. At bahrain atleast. But then again the bahrain gp was at the end of 2020 whereas it was the opening race in 2023 so the 2020 are wayyyy more developed. Thats why the RB was impressive i think.
I mean the best comparison would be AD20 vs AD23. Or Qatar, though that’d be against the 2021 cars. Which I think were as fast as 2020 at the end of the season.
Abu dhabi 2020 had different layout
Not sure what you mean by way over developed. Because Mercedes only upgrade the whole season in 2020 was in SPA. There factories were producing equipment for the first responders during covid.
@@hersencell6880 I'm 90% sure they were slower
Mercedes stopped developing w11 half way through the season cause they had a big ass lead
What I appreciate about these videos is the visualization of a 0.4 sec. lap difference at the end and how relatively close the drivers are
Who'd have thought that being 0.4 slower per lap would mean that they'd look like they were 0.4 seconds behind by the end of the lap
That’s my point: appreciating the visualization. You don’t get this visual proximity while watching qualifying.
Interesting comparison. Nice to see it. Would be interesting to see 2023 pole and 2005 pole from q1
The Man, The Myth, The Legend, The Goat.
Amazing video!
Where did you get the data positions, times and how you made the circuit map for this video?
Good to know that these cars are faster atleast than Nicholas Latifi
2020 cars are unsuprisingly better on the brakes because they are just so much lighter (and i'm not entirely sure on that but weight transfer is better because of softer suspensions and squishier tires) but Red Bull shines on the exits because it has much better mechanical platform
Love to see two good friends from Abu Dhabi 2021 have a good battle😊

Quite interesting to see how both cars make up time. The 2020 cars are able to brake so much later than the 2023 cars (presumably due to higher downforce and lower weight) and the 2023 cars are absolute rockets under acceleration.
Iirc williams also have decent straight line speed? I dont remember what year tho
Or maybe it's just latifi that brakes way too late and gets an abysmal exit in return
I'd love to see 2020 Verstappen vs 2022 Verstappen, to see difference in cars with the driver variable removed lol
Its not the 2023 car accelerating faster, its latifi...
2022+ cars have far less drag

So “the fastest car I've ever seen” is slower on straights than the 2020 Williams??? Interesting...
Williams had better straight line here
He meant within it's regulations class. The RB19 is the fastest car he has seen in relations to it's competitors within class.
@@gpaje BS. This is year 2 of these regulations. They are trying to get the FIA to slow down RB.
@@LousySob Both things are true. I said this set of regulations was designed to slow down the cars, which it has, so no reason to compare older generation with the current ones is my point. And of course they are trying to slow them down, just as everyone went after Mercedes when they dominated, McLaren, Ferrari, etc. in the past. It's a part of F1. No one likes it when one team dominates, just the natural order of things. It's not going to happen until 2026 anyways, so relax.
@@gpajewhat?! I thought they wanted faster cars, not the opposite. Why do they want to slow down the whole paddock?

After seeing several of these videos I think we can confidently say Verstappen's driving style is the purest definition of slow in fast out, keeping the momentum in every single corner. Takes quite some balls to drive like that
Man Goatifi is the GOAT. The fact that he let Max through even though he knew he could’ve won is just regular GOAT stuff.
latifi is underrated.
Nah
if he got some experince in some other series and didnt immidetlly go to f1 he probably could have been a good midfielder

Like this Goatifi doesn’t seem slow.
How are these simulation done?
what instrumental/music do u use for your videos

interesting, but imo using Russell's lap in the 2020 Williams as comparison would be more representative as the talent gap between the 2 drivers becomes less of a factor.
True, Goatifi can’t be matched
the williams might be faster than the redbull in that case, couldn't have that

Have you done a Bahrain 2022 slowest vs 2023 slowest? If not, you should.
Compare the V10 era next
I never imagined people would've been nostalgic for 2020 f1 cars. It seemed like just yesterday people were complaining about the lack of passes
wow, truly innovational, f1 the pinnacle of all motorsports, keeps on regressing year by year.
,
Despite being better aerodynamically, the current cars being as heavy as they are hurt their speed quite a bit compared to the previous car. I know the racing product has improved, primarily in the midfield, but seeing the FW43 be only 0.5 off of the RB19's pole time is honestly damning.
Please do one withe 2023 and 2020 pole sitters
the music so damn gooooood
Finally the battle of the GOATs
Can you do the 1997 Jerez GP qualify session?
If max was driving the Williams it would probably be the same time if not faster tbh
You can see the old cars could brake much later. I wonder if that's due to them having higher drag
Comparison is nice but a bit skewed - the different regs are stronger in different corners, but the 2020 Williams was very quick on the straights. Need to compare cars with the same relative strengths to their respective fields. Cool nonetheless.
my lad GOATifi is just so humble to let him win
i read somewhere that horner said they didnt build a better car this year its just that everyone else built a worse one and now i believe it , RB just stayed consistant while everyone got worse
You can clearly see how the humble King Latifi is in this video. He's using only using 1% of his power out of corners when accelerating.
Can you do Vettals 2013 car vs this years car?
Latifi second or third row💀💀💀
Seems to me that what this video illustrates is that Max is willing to give up speed on corner entry to maintain higher speeds through the corner, allowing him to accelerate at a higher pace and carry more speed down the following straights. Braking at the exact right time, essentially, where Latifi is inconsistent in his braking points, scrubs off speed in the corners, and can't make it up on the straights.
Very interesting.
The Williams is really good in the straights
you can actually see the downforce difference between the old and new generation, the Williams always catch up in corners, but get dusted in traction
Bro, Latifi is kicking Verstappen's ass with that old shitbox.
the gap is so small, this is unexpected
King Latifi and his last farewell.
Kinda off topic but I really like the Williams 2020 livery
Can you do comparison between Verstappen 2023 vs Alesi 1995?
Song name please, it's so relaxing
Wow, being the superior driver he could have easily beat him and left him in the dust, but he decided to hold back and give the other driver some glory.
That was so nice of him to go easy on Max.
I love this comparison, even that sh*t box still can fight with fastest 2023 if we change the driver.
This music is fire . Can i use it?
Gratified wasn’t even trying his hardest
What we should actually take away from this is the grip the RB19 has exiting the corner shit is actually wild to see
What track is that?
Latifi isn't all horrible. He just needs more time . But that's the reality of F1.
Great, now W11 comparison
Im thinking if they keep the rate of growth the same they may be as fast as the 2020 card next year but more realistically would be 2025 I think.
WoW very Fast!
It's mind blowing to see how fast current cars are compared to the old cars, even though it's the Williams
It's Goatifi
That's a Williams with Latifi mate, put Max, Lewis, Fernando, Seb, Checo, Kimi, literally any top driver and you got yourself a much faster lap time
We could have GOATifi as our title contender but he let other win
We NEED to go back to the 2004 Rules but with todays safety standarts
The RB19 would be ranked (based on available qualifying data):
-8th in 2020
-7th in 2019
-6th in 2021
-4th in 2018
And
-3rd in 2017
More intense racing but slower cars, which one is better?
There's no way that Latifi hit all those apexes
I just realized that rb is terrible at slowing down for corners but a beast at acceleration
Goatifi let max get the dub, a humble Canadian man
What a top speed had the williams
The brakes on the Williams seems to work better than the new RB 🤔🤔
I think a fairer comparison would be Russel, not Latifi. Latifi's skill clearly making a huge difference here.
This beat fire though, where can I get it?
Hydrate by Timothy Infinite
The 2020 car is faster in high speed corners while the 2023 one is faster in low speed ones.
A more logical comparison would feature Russels's time as the title suggests that the point was to see how the 2 cars fare first and foremost.
