- The couple charged with a deadly dog attack in 2023 began the first phase of their punishment hearing Monday morning.
Christian Moreno and Abilene Schnieder are being charged with a dog attack resulting in death after their dogs got loose last February and mauled 81-year-old Ramon Najera, killing him.

If I recall correctly, she was wearing a shirt that said " queen" last year while fake crying and insisting her husband wasn't responsible for thier dogs..
When the wife testified she acted like she was crying but I didn’t see wet eyes, only ones rubbed a lot.

Right? Why is it the city's duty? It's the owner's job to control any dog, but especially dogs they know are dangerous! Ridiculous.

This seems to only be the truth in pit fanatics minds, bcs in reality blood sport fighting dogs are genetically wired for aggression. Plenty of these dogs whose owners loved them to pieces & had them well trained end up mauling & killing. That's why they are banned in so many countries & communities. Too bad they aren't banned in the US yet 100%, but instead they fill every last shelter to max capacity and get dumped out in the country.

San Antonio dropped the ball on the neighbors and friends living among these demons. They are all responsible for the injuries and now even the death of this poor innocent man. Pray for justice!

This is not a Zero-sum game! It is entirely possible for the city of San Antonio to be completely at fault and for the dog owners to be completely at fault. There is PLENTY of blame to go around.

Yes, the local authorities are absolutely just as responsible as the owners. People in the neighborhood have been calling on these dogs for two years or better. They have attacked others before. They even took them away once and let the owners have them back. The one ACS dude said something like the damage or the bite wasn't severe enough to keep them. They should have done their job. If they had kept those dogs that MAN would be home with his family today, just like you and I. Yeah, the authorities dropped the ball big time and should be held equally accountable as the disgusting owners. I bet the authorities would be all over it if any one of the neighbors shot those poor dumb dogs. They would be charged with animal cruelty. 😡🤬

The dogs were not properly secured. They needed a six foot fence and maybe covered like a kennel.

All parties (meaning the dog owners and the city) knew those dogs are aggressive and had reported attacks on people. I’m going to have to agree that both the couple and the city are responsible for this. So sad how the elderly man lost his life.
