Much respect for letting us in on Your personal Journey. May You always find a good spot, a warm clean shower, and low price for gas. Safe travels sister. 🙏
I totally agree with you, get to your spot when it’s dark out and leave before it gets light outside. As a fellow single female, I also never park in isolated areas at night. I also have the same coffee subscription at the gas station. It has improved my morning routine and gives me a bathroom to visit. I enjoyed your video. Liked and subscribed 🙂
How would you feel about some leafy houseplants? I think your lovely van would feel so homely with some greenery 🍀. Love your channel btw, I find your energy and personality so calming and inspiring. Sending love from England 🇬🇧❤️
The Lowe's parking lot night was scary to me. I would rather blend than single myself out like that. However, you were actually there and could read the vibes of the place.. which is proving to be your super power. 😊 You are inspiring! ❤️ Stay safe!
When moving heavy items in and out of shopping carts I have found it much easier if you set the item across the baby seat/top of the cart., or if it’s in a bag like dog food or rice then I will set it across the corners on the end of the cart . That way you don’t have to lift the weight up and out . Usually the transfer from the cart to the vehicle is an across and down motion. I’m a person with joint issues and trust me it makes a whole world of difference! 😊
When I was a kid we carried water from the spring, two 5 gallon buckets twice a day. Roughly about 160 pounds of weight. We were stout as an ox. 1 gallon of water weighs 8 pounds. 7x8=56, but it’s dead weight. Have a blessed evening.
Your frequency is so receivable! Don't have to adjust "my tuner" to HEAR you without static or chaos😅 you communicate so clearly & make JOY appear every time you post. ..100% Thank you for taking us with you!! You will never comprehend how meaningful & PRICELESS YOU ARE!! Your sense of style & function are incredible!! Your environment (Cause of your efforts) is STUNNING!
I like your curtains, it keeps everything separated. There you go. Warmth in the back of van. Neat. I just love what you feel you need to take care of in life. Admiration.
I really like your glasses. They look perfect on you....I also noted the more you film, the more confident you seem. I really enjoy and appreciate you sharing your RV life.
Hey! Nice to see you enjoying the van. I hope you keep a handwritten log book that details: Location, date, time In - time out, and rating from 1 to 5 based on what is important for you to feel good about your experience. It should be one line you fill out and something that takes you less than 1 minute to complete per entry. You will find this information interesting, valuable, cost-effective and legally viable in years to come. Appreciate you! Enjoy your day, and can't wait for your next adventure.
Your meal looks amazing! Thanks for the tip about the yogurt in the scrambled eggs, I’ve never heard of that before, but I’m going to try it. I’m going to try that entire meal. The addition of the curtains makes the place look more comfy and private, I like it! 👍🏽
So glad you clarified that your steamy dinner wasn’t too hot. In a previous episode, you ate directly from a stainless steel pot. Be CAREFUL with that! 😂 PS Just made your marinated mushrooms for the THIRD time. It’s become a staple in our house. Yum!!!
Hello again from NJ Raining here all day but better than snow. Love the turquoise hat and colorful sweatshirt, it really brightens up your face. FYI I saw on TH-cam a woman living in her van and for water she had 4 separate clear containers tall and slim, each holds like 3 gallons all fit next to each other and each one light enough to set on counter, and to refill. Hope this helps.
I’m glad I found your channel. I stealth camped for 9 months in 2019, then found a permanent place. I also parked in the dark and left in the dark, so that was a nice confirmation. I look forward to learning more from your videos
The best time to case out parking spots is early morning before everyone leaves for the day. At least by 7am. I found a spot near a large post office. 24 hour grocery stores. A coastal surf spot in a small town has free overnight parking and they charge $8 for all day. You wake up right at the beach. I was new in town and put an ad for overnight spots on Craigslist on the general community section. I got three really good tips. One was at a beautiful marina. I also got great tips for local mechanics that way.
Hello Nomad, I am so happy I came across your videos. I’ve been watching for about 2 months now. You are teaching me a lot as I am interested in doing this with my family of 7. I am so excited for your growing YT family. I love our dinner time and I am confident that you are doing everything to keep yourself safe! 🙏🏾
i love this video...when my son 18 n stable im going tiny home n rv ....disabled n all.... n i have to try that egg n rice.... what state are u in .... love the water scenery..... this the 1st video ive someone do real life stuff n back to van...thank u for different perspective
You are absolutely gorgeous your skin is so beautiful and I can not believe that you're living inside of a van car whatever and waking up looking this gorgeous props to you sis
The teal green color looks good on you. Good to see color accenting your great complexion! Yes, security is #1. How about a small green plant or a colorful postcard posted to the wall ? I really enjoy your vlog.
I love your sense of adventure, resourcefulness, organization and awareness of your surroundings. It amazes me how self-contained your van is and you seem to have all the comforts of home.
You can fill your water tank up. When transferring it into your van, park cart flush with entrance of your van then step Up into your van so you are able to bend down to pull/lift up…use your legs for the lift and to carry the weight. It will be heavy from the faucet to the cart😅
Many videos back when you purchased that water container and said you were going to sit it on the pull out shelf on your counter, I advised you to check the shelf’s weight capacity first. I didn’t want you to accidentally break it by sitting 58 pounds of water on it. Yep, 58 pounds is heavy when you’re lifting it out of a shopping cart…..do that a few times and you’ll have your upper body workout for the day! And your curtains look very nice and homey.😊
I add sour cream to my scrambled eggs. So delicious. I like watching van life videos because I'm an introvert and it looks like a cozy, simple way to live. I'm happily married with a teen son and live in a big house but I still like watching, lol.
I loved this video and I’ve seen a few others. Great job. I don’t usually comment on people’s posts, but I felt compelled this time. As women (and especially black women) we are super independent, but we mustn’t be hesitant to ask for help. You were at Walmart. Any man would have been happy to help you with that water even if you had to stop someone since you were way down the parking lot. Please keep doing what you do. You’re an inspiration ❤️💜🥰
Thanks for using the "smoked paprika" on your meals. I didn't know some of it was prepared as smoked, but now we have a big bottle on the table down here in Southwest Texas. A little dash gives a nice zip, and my Hubby just loves the taste! We do like our condiments and seasonings to make things more delicious. All the best until next time.
I found your channel two days ago. You are a courageous person and I like how you are simply enjoying life. I love that you add a mini segment on preparing your food. Keep up the positivity!
I'm so happy you had a positive and safe stealth experience at Lowe's, at one point during the video I found myself sitting on the edge of my couch nervously, as if I was there lol. Also, I feel you on the whole spider situation. I was bitten in the face (my most prized possession) a few nights ago by a spider hiding in my room! I still haven't caught that sucker, needless to say, I've been sleeping in the living room ever since. When I finally find it, it's going to be on and poppin' (literally). Sending you lots of light and love. Stay safe 🤎🤎
I detest bugs, spiders the most. I keep a can of aerosol hairspray, the cheapest I can find, usually, Aquanet, near, and if I miss stomping the sucker and I still see it, I douse it in hairspray cuz as soon as the spray dries, wherever it managed to move to, if will be stiff and die! Never fails.
Keep the faith, sister, and keep posting these videos. My next stop is a Van like yours, self-contained, Bath and Kitchen both, so I can park someplace secluded, lock the doors, and not have to hike across a Truck Stop parking lot when I have to pee at 2:00 in the morning. You inspire us all!
YOU are inspirational! I have so much admiration for your life skills, your energy, and your appreciation for anything and everything. Nice job on your curtains. Be safe ❤
We’ve driven cross country in our Travel trailer a few times. We avoid Walmart’s we’ve had so many bad experiences ..kids doing donuts and messing around at night loud and busy. We’ve stuck to rest areas , Cracker Barrel’s and smaller quiet safe areas. I love watching your channel. I’m a mom of and would love to travel full time. Harder with family of 6 but enjoy watching your journey and how you learn and adapt as you go.
One of the fast food restaurants in my area was really smart and put in a paid water dispenser in their parking lot. They are near the soccer fields . All the soccer teams use it as well as people living in the vans/cars etc… I noticed that my local Walmart now allows over night parking since they are open all night again.
Curtains look great, stay safe happy camping. Oh next time you get water remember the front cage on the grocery cart lifts up. I love that you share your journey with us. May God continue to bless you on this path.
Another enjoyed video. Yes your van is really coming along. I really like it. The curtains are really a nice touch. A suggestion, maybe next time you keep just a couple or a few empty bottles and fill them when you feel your big tank. That way you won’t have to rush with getting water out of your big container. I also will be trying that recipe. It looks quick and easy. Continue your marvelous journey. Once again, I really admire you.🙏🏽
I admire the boldness to get out here and live your life the way you want. This is the first video youI have seen and you are very inspiring. Good content and very informational.
Im glad to see the curtains. Works great in both hot and cold. Another trick would be to leave ur couch/bed “undone” and make it like a daybed. Saves time each day. U could put away the parts of couch to avoid that task. I got a cute and colorful full size sheet as a duvet like cover and pillows. I also bought a few 1$ water bottles and put them in refrigerator so they are plug and play. Walmart kitchen section.
Loving the curtains your space is looking great! and glad (not surprised ) that you have upped your security as that IS the number one priority. Just thought that I would share with you that other Van Life channel that I watch said after 8 years of living this life style he has never gotten the "knock" because he sleeps in places that are open 24 hours and mentioned the gym as one of his spots when he is not in a camping spot.
@@shirleyhurst2233 Unfortunately that exact situation happened to her a few videos back. It was totally ridiculous. The video was titled "I Got The Knock".
Thank you for letting me be a part of your day. I long to travel like you do. You are in my prayers always. Be safe and know you have brightened my day.
Omg! Love how the curtains look. The back curtains was a great idea! They say that peppermint oils r peppermint plants actually keeps some bugs and even rodents away. You can google making a natural spray that is safe. Loved having dinner with ya! You seem so much more relaxed on camera now! Loving it!
My 17 year old daughter knows i watch your videos one nite eating dinner she busted out of nowhere and says " Im Sad Its Over" i cracked up It was too funny. You should get some merchandise and or trademark that saying. I need a flag to wave with that saying lol.
I really like watching you so much. You are really brave, and if I could go back about 30 years I'd follow right in your foot steps. Keep going, stay warm, be safe but most of all be bless.
I LOVE your videos!!! FYI- you’re definitely a friend in my head, LOL. I truly enjoy tou bringing us along in your day to day journeys. Your dinners got me wanting to sauté some walnuts and mushrooms. 😊
yeah i hate carrying the 5 galloon water i cant imagine how heavy the 7 gallon would be 😩 .. just the peacefulness when you cook i love .. stay safe 🙏🏼
One of these days when you know you’ll be out of the van for an allotted time you should set off a bug bomb. Love your content. I do true crime so this is a breath of fresh air for me. I feel like im escaping with you lol
Love the curtains! Whatever it takes for you to be warm this winter is what matters the most. I was cracking up about the spider but I totally feel you. Take care!
Thanks for reminding me about the creamy, fluffy scrambled eggs you had at the hotel. It’s my son’s fave so I’ll try it. Love how cozy the curtains look and keeps the light and cold out. I’m glad you could add Lowe’s to your “safe place to sleep” list. Thank you for taking us with you on your journey. I look forward to watching your videos. Be safe. You, too, are valued and loved.
Good Morning! Maybe you can find a pump for your water jug from Amazon or a camping store. How about just taping off your water from now on with a gallon jug so it’s not so heavy. You always give me great ideas from things you do. I bought black out curtains like yours and I absolutely LOVE them! Yours looks gorgeous too! Have a nice week! ❤
My friend, You made me laugh with the heavy water jug. It is aggravating when we don't think things like that through. I enjoyed riding along as you scoped out the parking lots.
Your supper looks lovely. I know how health conscious you are and I don't know if you considered this, but soy is detrimental to women, especially around menopausal ages, as it has high isoflavones. The problem with soy and soy products is that these isoflavones act like estrogen and bind to estrogen receptors in the body. Because of this, it can fuel some breast cancers. A very delicious substitute for soy sauce is Bragg's Liquid Aminos. As for the tofu, Beans, and Legumes, Quinoa, and other plant-based proteins are so much better for you. You get Bragg's Liquid Aminos at Walmart and other grocers.
It's great to see you out enjoying life! I know I should do this now but it will probably be a future thing for me. Although, I do aspire to be a weekend warrior :D One thing I struggle with is getting out of the house. I did though today, & took the puppy on a mile walk and also went to pick up my book at the library. It felt like a win. Thanks for all the tips!
@@JuliahFL I'm ok! Probably! LOL I do try to challenge myself to get out w/ some coffee or tea I made from home. I bring a book. I pick a spot w/ a view & I have some personal time to myself. Just the quiet, no dogs no somebody, no nothing besides a great view, a good cuppa, and a book. It rly helps my mental moods.
Happy Sunday. As always I look forward to your videos. I love the new curtains and how everytime we watch you have done something new, to make your van all about the way you want. Thank you for sharing your meal with us. Stay safe through the night.❤😊
You should consider a small dollie to give you that little help you need from time to time. Love your videos. My husband and I have a fifth wheel and love to camp. I admire you being able to do everything on your own. Keep it up and be safe. Most of all have fun!!!
It’s good that you feel comfortable where you parked for the night. That water jug looks heavy! Your curtains look nice and sturdy, good job! You look like you really enjoyed your meal. Sleep well.
If you had casinos nearby you could park there overnight because they are open 24/7. Thanks for including us in your journey
Ooh good point. Michigan has casinos in various parts of the state🎰
Great suggestion!
That’s an amazing idea I hope she looks at that idea they never bother you in there🎉
Plus good buffets !! Lol
Cracker Barrel and Walmart
U R by far the neatest, tidiest, cleaniest van dweller I've ever seen on YT. 👏 👏
I always ask the store mgr first. Also, if there aren't many other RVers there, PLEASE don't stay there! I'm a Solo Female RVer in my 70's. I'm in Quartzsite, AZ! Stay Safe! Marie ♥️
I am so loving your peppy energy - and those curtains! May the force of the painter’s tape keep all critters out!!
Hi I came across your cite and have loved listening to you, you have a pretty voice , concerning the winter parking for overnight, can you park at a relative parking lot? be careful, God loves you.
Hello can you please tell what made to decide to live in a van.
Your van is looking more like a cozy little apartment. Little touches like those curtains really does make a difference.
Love watching you. You are so smart and wise. Some of the other van lifers need to take a page out of your book. You use common sense, and you are proactive in your lifestyle. Continue to be who you are. You're a breath of fresh air 😁
Exactly my thoughts.
Which other van lifers do you watch?
All of the van lifers I have watched are very wise, and very intelligent
Think about finding a hospital with a parking garage. They do have nurses in and out as you know. The security would just think your vehicle belong to an employee. Nurses start arriving at 6:30 pm and leave after 7am.
My cousin does that; she’s a travel nurse
Love your channel. Cracker Barrel and Cabela's/Bass Pro Shop are usually friendly to overnight parking. There are apps as well like ioverlander and others that help with free overnight. Harvest host is a membership that offers free camping. The host might ask for a slight donation to purchase items that they sale ex winery or farm etc. Hope this helps
Much respect for letting us in on Your personal Journey. May You always find a good spot, a warm clean shower, and low price for gas. Safe travels sister. 🙏
It's so nice that you can cook and not have to eat out every day.
Glad you think about these situations as to where your spending each night. We all want you safe young lady.
Yes indeed 🙏🏽☮️❤️
You go girl, be careful be safe and we love you…
Love how you are fixing up your van to suit your needs! So glad you are keeping safe! Prayers for you on your journey!!

Hmm is there room tho? I would want less stuff in my rv/van if i had one.
The Lowe's parking lot night was scary to me. I would rather blend than single myself out like that. However, you were actually there and could read the vibes of the place.. which is proving to be your super power. 😊 You are inspiring! ❤️ Stay safe!
Most shopping carts open underneath the handle, making it easier to slide heavier things out instead of lifting it over. 😊✌🏼🙋♀️
Wow, didn’t know that. Thanks for that tip
Yes, your van looks so nice!😊
The curtains really make it look cozy.😊
Over the road (48 states) truckers have curtains like that in their tractors and they do provide a bit of insulation for the bunk area.
When moving heavy items in and out of shopping carts I have found it much easier if you set the item across the baby seat/top of the cart., or if it’s in a bag like dog food or rice then I will set it across the corners on the end of the cart .
@From Amy’s Closet why would there even be a knock at a rest area? Makes zero sense.
@@shirleyhurst2233 Unfortunately that exact situation happened to her a few videos back. It was totally ridiculous. The video was titled "I Got The Knock".
Just found your channel and I am enjoying your content. Take care.
I absolutely loooove your videos, they literally calm me im doing my night skincare routine as I’m watching this video. ❤
I LOVE your videos!!! FYI- you’re definitely a friend in my head, LOL. I truly enjoy tou bringing us along in your day to day journeys. Your dinners got me wanting to sauté some walnuts and mushrooms. 😊
Those curtains are perfect 👌 😍 Privacy & warmth !
I saw that comment about the greek yogurt in the eggs. First thing I thought of when I saw you add it. I will give it a try.
Comment on the fly....loving the curtains and the coffee is a great deal. Still watching. U are living my dream.

Love your van and your set up!
One of these days when you know you’ll be out of the van for an allotted time you should set off a bug bomb. Love your content. I do true crime so this is a breath of fresh air for me. I feel like im escaping with you lol
Woooo, very adventurous
Check Cracker Barrell. At most of them you can boondock for free. I would just grab a meal to go or something. Be safe and blessed always!
I just stumbled on your sight! Your van is beautiful! I love the bright colors!!! It is simply GORGEOUS!
The curtains looks lovely,, must of all privacy and warmth 😊
It's great to see you out enjoying life! I know I should do this now but it will probably be a future thing for me. Although, I do aspire to be a weekend warrior :D One thing I struggle with is getting out of the house. I did though today, & took the puppy on a mile walk and also went to pick up my book at the library. It felt like a win. Thanks for all the tips!
I relate to you so much. Praying for you. Wish you were in Orlando
Your channel is growing! Congratulations. 51 is cold. I love your glasses. Your tips are noted. Coffee.
Good Morning from Memphis Tennessee..love watching your journey
The curtains look great. Soo glad that you reversed them.
Happy Sunday. As always I look forward to your videos. I love the new curtains and how everytime we watch you have done something new, to make your van all about the way you want. Thank you for sharing your meal with us. Stay safe through the night.❤😊
Just bought myself a 600 sq ft small home. I too am an introvert and I love my new home.
Be safe!
I love watching your videos. I wish they were longer. You have such a calming spirit about you.. A breath of fresh air. Blessings to you.
You should consider a small dollie to give you that little help you need from time to time. Love your videos. My husband and I have a fifth wheel and love to camp. I admire you being able to do everything on your own. Keep it up and be safe. Most of all have fun!!!
Hi! The curtains are really nice I really like those blackouts they really help !👍
It’s good that you feel comfortable where you parked for the night. That water jug looks heavy! Your curtains look nice and sturdy, good job! You look like you really enjoyed your meal. Sleep well.
