damocles does not function like that. it starts as a 0 in 1000 chance per frame that it'll fall and kill you, if you take damage it increases from its base 0 by 1 so if you get hit 3 times it's 3 in 1000 now.
Another way to survive Damocles is with Gnawed Leaf. :) of course, you'd have to stand around waiting for a while until it eventually fell, but it does work.

Personally my number one favourite item in antibirth is the 120volt. Even though it became jacobs ladder in ab+, the 120volt synergized with everything. Electric bombs, electric brimstone for godsake, and even just having base tears with 120volt always made a run a tad bit more interesting.

Actually, almond milk has less of a damage down than soy milk. As you can see in the footage, Isaac's damage is 1.05 after picking up almond milk. Soy milk lowers Isaac's base damage to 0.70. So almond milk leaves you with 50% more damage than soy milk.

Oh, I just love Mucormycosis. Once, I had a run with it, where I found the Giant Bean trinket. Cleared almost all rooms instantly, including bosses. I think that's just about the best combo I ever had.

Antibirth is so filled with many wonderful items. I wanted to shout out a handful of my own favorites here that weren't mentioned in your video; *#1; Stitches.* Stitches is an interesting item, because he serves a great amount of utility. It's an active item that also serves as a familiar, bouncing across the screen like GB bug, damaging enemies it comes into contact with. It's active effect is to switch places with Isaac in the room, teleporting to where Isaac is and teleporting Isaac to where it was before activation. This let's you do a couple of things. It can let you reach places you otherwise couldn't without flight or bombs without needing them, it can let you give some enemies a bit of the run-around when in a pinch or you can just let it do it's own thing, dealing damage as it does. Very fun item that has saved some runs for me in the past. *#2: Sulfur:* I can understand not including this on the list, being a 4 room active item that just gives Brimstone for one room, but I find it very useful. Brim can be expensive at 2 red hearts and is less likely to show up than this. It's telling of Brimstone's utter power, when just getting to have it in every 4th room has carried me through more mediocre runs. I can't leave it unmentioned for that. *#3; Rocket In a Jar.* I always love a good bomb upgrade and this has to be the best one I've ever used. It makes all bombs into explosive projectiles you can fire at enemies. The only hitch is that if you forget you have it, you might end up killing yourself like a dumbass (shorthand for; "like me"), but it is a great damage-up to a run that stacks with the many additional bomb-supports you are bound to find. *#4; Blood Oath.* When it comes to risk vs reward type of items, this one is more up my alley. By stabbing itself into you at the beginning of every floor, it drops you to only a half a red heart and gives you a generous boost to damage and speed with it. This does require red hearts in order to proc, but I play alot with red hp anyway. As an avid fan of both Samson and Eve, this is a highly useful item for me to carry. *#5; Eraser.* A really weird item I find simply charming. It's effectively a chaos card on steroids. It's a one-use active item you can throw in any direction and anything it hits not only dies, but is deleted from the rest of the run, making it unable to spawn again. This can be extremely good for certain enemies you hate like those disappearing ghosts or the shield-givers on the Cathedral. It's surprising how much a run can start feeling easier once host-heads have been erased from the run. *#6; Eye of the Occult.* My personal favorite item added in Antibirth. Besides giving a slight bonus to damage and range at the cost of shot speed, it also makes all tears manually controllable, steering into whatever direction you are shooting in, staying in place whenever not firing. Even on it's own, this item makes for a very useful tool, being able to do stuff like shoot from behind cover, overall improve your accuracy and letting you fire diagonally. The synergies on the other hand just speak for themselves. Using Strange Attractor in a much more controllable fashion, completely bypassing any knockback issues with Soy Milk, guiding a full set of Tammy's Head tears in concentrated attacks, etc. It's not all perfect. I had to learn how it fucks over Monstro's Lung the hard way. Regardless, it's an almost guaranteed nab from me simply due to how much fun I get out of using it.
In my opinion, the best item is Jacob's ladder (The angel deal item, not electric item) because you can get an extra angel room that doesn't count towards the actual deal. Meaning that it's essentially just the "1 marshmallow now, or 2 marshmallows later if you don't eat it" test, because it rewards patience, min-maxing, and good play.
Glad to see birthright on the list. The most powerful effect it has is on jacob and Esau, giving whichever one picks it up copies of all the passive items the other has.

I think damocles *is* a good item, and it does force good play. However, if Isaac gets a extra life and dies the damocles dagger goes away, and you lose all affects from it including dying by random. So, in my personal opinion, I think spirit sword is my number one. I just...I dunno, it's just so cool and it has so many useful/cool synergies. And I can't remember what tech it is, but if you get a certain type of tech it literally turns into a light saber!!! It's...beautiful.
I like Sol. It is only a mid-tier item but it's well balanced and the function is creative and makes sense. I think it belongs in a different item pool though
My favourite item is the scooper, because I love uncontrollable things that I'll inevitably confuse for enemies if I'm fighting Peep or The Bloat. No but seriously, my favourite item is Paschal Candle. It's so good. One time I had to choose between Paschal Candle and Holy Mantle, and since I didn't know what the candle was, I took it. I do not regret taking it. Then again, I've played basically nothing of Antibirth, so I don't know a lot of the items.
Damocles is truly and without any doubth the best item of the game. Even better than Godhead or Mega Mush just because increases the game experience. (And of course the sword hanging looks pretty)
Faithfull Follower Of The 0/0 Dart Monkey I did for a lot of this video because of the time sink into digging through my footage. Anything else was taken from my stream VOD's. Syncer should get all the attention they deserve too! Amazing channel and I love to to them.
I forgot, it might be Mars? It turns you red, and you gain a double-tap dash. You're invincible while yo dash, but you can only do it once every 5 seconds.
I know, I wasn't limiting my choices at Antibirth items. Though Birthright, Damocles, and Monstrance are probably the Antibirth items that works the most with him.
id like it more if the timer wasnt random. like what if the timer just decides to be super short and you physically cant finish the run? i mean yeah double items are great and makes it alot easier but the situation still exists
Also almond milk makes you lose less damage than soy, and my favorite item is rock bottom because of the ability to do insane stuff like rock bottom Polyphemus soy milk
tbh im suprised you didnt add rock bottom, it has awesome potential. you could grab rock bottom then soy milk and a high damage tear passive and you would have a rapid fire cannon.
Actually, almond milk has much less of an effect on your damage. You don't get as bad of a damage stat, but you won't hit enemies as often. Still, it's a DPS upgrade.
My favorites that aren't on the list are Saturnus, Rock Bottom (Even though I haven't unlocked it), and 120 Volt. Also, you should make videos for top 10 good and bad trinkets in Antibirth!

How stupid would it be if you actually got a familiar that is basically the lost but you have to keep it alive the whole run and it'll give you a single unlockable. It stays forever you can never get rid of it and if you beat the run with it still alive you get nothing as you've already got the unlockable. It's description will probably be "have fun" and after you got the unlockable it will say "it feels like wasted time." Or better yet if it dies you die. Imagine playing the Lost. You've got to protect two losts.

Ah i guess i didn't think about that. What is meant was the fact that Antibirth added dozens of amazing enemy designs, unlike AB or AB+, that only added a few decent enemies.
Well if I were to do an enemy based Top 10 of some sort, it would be like the most annoying enemies in the game as a whole. Which would include all Rebirth/AB/AB+ enemies boiled down to just the most annoying. And I'm finished with Antibirth content until the expansion is finished.
Nothing personal, but when I saw Birthright I knew there wouldn't be any footage since there wasn't any of Syncer's to use. I feel a little legwork of your own wouldn't have hurt these videos. Please note this is meant as constructive criticism and not as an insult.
Ryusuta There are 842 other videos I've done without 5.5 minutes of his footage (which I only used because it's short form and to the point). So do excuse me for taking it personally. Don't ever tell a content creator to do "more legwork".
Rock bottom is my favorite. It breaks the game. 2 words. SOY. MILK. It keeps you damage and increases your tears. Polyphemus. Number one. You name it, it synergizes. Dr fetus keeps your tear rate. Number one keeps your range. Sacred heart keeps your shot speed and tears. Best item ever.

Mucomycosis + The Lighter (trinket) = Fire Farts. (Fire doesnt fart. Fart does damage which can kill lol, i cant explain)

I'm surprised rock bottom wasn't on here. Rock bottom plus quad shot, almond milk, and/or Polyphemus makes you so much stronger!

I like Sol. It is only a mid-tier item but it's well balanced and the function is creative and makes sense. I think it belongs in a different item pool though
My favourite item is the scooper, because I love uncontrollable things that I'll inevitably confuse for enemies if I'm fighting Peep or The Bloat.
No but seriously, my favourite item is Paschal Candle. It's so good. One time I had to choose between Paschal Candle and Holy Mantle, and since I didn't know what the candle was, I took it. I do not regret taking it.
Then again, I've played basically nothing of Antibirth, so I don't know a lot of the items.
Gui Shark Paschal Candle is incredible. It, Immaculate Heart, and the Menorah were all so close to making it on the list.

actually shields DO defend you from damocles. such as the chariot card, algiz, book of shadows, etc.
Damocles is truly and without any doubth the best item of the game.
Even better than Godhead or Mega Mush just because increases the game experience.
(And of course the sword hanging looks pretty)

id like it more if the timer wasnt random. like what if the timer just decides to be super short and you physically cant finish the run? i mean yeah double items are great and makes it alot easier but the situation still exists
Also almond milk makes you lose less damage than soy, and my favorite item is rock bottom because of the ability to do insane stuff like rock bottom Polyphemus soy milk
tbh im suprised you didnt add rock bottom, it has awesome potential. you could grab rock bottom then soy milk and a high damage tear passive and you would have a rapid fire cannon.

People use the term overpowered to liberally. It is a decent item and has fun synergies, but not a top 10 contender sadly.

Actually, almond milk has much less of an effect on your damage. You don't get as bad of a damage stat, but you won't hit enemies as often. Still, it's a DPS upgrade.

My favorites that aren't on the list are Saturnus, Rock Bottom (Even though I haven't unlocked it), and 120 Volt. Also, you should make videos for top 10 good and bad trinkets in Antibirth!

How stupid would it be if you actually got a familiar that is basically the lost but you have to keep it alive the whole run and it'll give you a single unlockable. It stays forever you can never get rid of it and if you beat the run with it still alive you get nothing as you've already got the unlockable. It's description will probably be "have fun" and after you got the unlockable it will say "it feels like wasted time." Or better yet if it dies you die. Imagine playing the Lost. You've got to protect two losts.
When you keep it alive, it drops something next floor. Not unlocks somethings at the end of the run.
For birthright hurts got a huge tears up like from 47 to 1 full 27 damage and spec per loll

Ah i guess i didn't think about that. What is meant was the fact that Antibirth added dozens of amazing enemy designs, unlike AB or AB+, that only added a few decent enemies.
Well if I were to do an enemy based Top 10 of some sort, it would be like the most annoying enemies in the game as a whole. Which would include all Rebirth/AB/AB+ enemies boiled down to just the most annoying. And I'm finished with Antibirth content until the expansion is finished.

Nothing personal, but when I saw Birthright I knew there wouldn't be any footage since there wasn't any of Syncer's to use. I feel a little legwork of your own wouldn't have hurt these videos. Please note this is meant as constructive criticism and not as an insult.

Rock bottom is my favorite. It breaks the game. 2 words. SOY. MILK. It keeps you damage and increases your tears. Polyphemus. Number one. You name it, it synergizes. Dr fetus keeps your tear rate. Number one keeps your range. Sacred heart keeps your shot speed and tears. Best item ever.
