    This is so cool. When I started playing with MJ this was one of my first thoughts. When creating the scenes, you can actually specify the focal length as a prompt. I usually just use "focal length xxmm" and even aperture, it usually helps the prompt. You could probably even specify shot on Arri Alexa to get a certain look

    Thanks for this, very informative. Now with the previewing the keying on a laptop to make sure our lighting matches our background, I see that most of those video capture card are 4K. Does that mean if I want to shoot 8K does it mean I won't see the picture? Or will it still display at the maximum resolution of the card? I guess for setting up one can always do it in 4k and when ready to shoot bump it up to 8k.

    I'm literally working on a video now that I used ai for to make 4 backgrounds for 4 different interviews. Makes it so much easier to just set up a green screen instead of being busy with lighting and set designing a whole room.

    • @AustinPageofficial
      @AustinPageofficial ปีที่แล้ว

      any thoughts on trying to get a few angles of the "same" generated room? If that was an actual scene there would likely need to be a front and a 3/4 or side view. I didn't think Midjourney had contextual awareness with it's prompts to be able to essentially say "now generate perpendicular angle of the same room facing the window" for example.

    • @schwartzbrothersmedia
      @schwartzbrothersmedia ปีที่แล้ว

    With the amount it cost in lights alone, it would have paid you to just fly to a location that had that look for real in the background..
    I understand the project in using the AI background and I do respect the effort! .. perhaps you could do a more budget version of this to show the people who would more likely use this green screen technique ?

    • @brenthearn4161
      @brenthearn4161 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They could probably achieve a similar look with lower budget by picking a room with windows that match the ai background. It could actually be cheaper if you're filming several interviews. Its actually far cheaper if you're doing multiple interviews: instead of flying or driving, lugging gear, setting up in each location they could just re-arrange the lighting in a single room and swap out the backgrounds. Save on time and money.

    I've always enjoyed watching your videos, and they're very inspiring for anyone who's interested in filming. I have a space that's 11 feet by 20 feet with removable furniture, and I'd like to use it for a two-person interview. I'd appreciate your help in suggesting how I can use this space to use AI-generated backgrounds. A drawing and lighting suggestions would be very helpful. If I keep the green background 10 feet behind the interviewer, then where should I place the cameras? Would we be able to use 3 DSLR cameras in this small space? I appreciate your suggestions.

    Hey! Super cool! Thanks a lot! Quick question; I know it is no green screen tutorial, just wondering which codec you are using/ recording to get that key with each hair strand? Again Thanks a lot! Oh, by the way, you mention that the camera position is guesswork... if you draw vanishing lines, you will find your horizon! If that is in the middle, the camera is straight... if it is above the camera is tilted down and if it is beneath the middle the camera is facing upwards! As the horizon does not change its position when moving the camera up or down, this will make it way more easy to find the cam hight!

    1st time viewer here.
    Man, this is really nice work...with tons of great info...however, most of us who have $20K (or more) worth of film-making gear laying around, will likely already know how to do these types of things. May I suggest doing videos like this with both a pro budget, AND an indie budget? i.e. 'If you don't have $8K worth of lights, use these type of lights instead.' I think that would be much more helpful for most of us here on TH-cam.

    This tutorial is a great step by step! One thing I would add is, don't use 'cheap' blur filters but pay attention to the depth in the background and use filters like Camera Lens Blur, with an added depth matte (which can be AI generated) to really create a more realistic blur. And pro tip: Try putting a light and a chair in the background to see how much it's actually blured in real life, then don't overdo the blur in post.

    the funny thing is, you don't even need green screen anymore, you can simply go in davinci and cut the background out in fusion, and then put a background behind the person.

    That was almost $10K worth of lighting equipment for this shot. Can you do something similar for under $4000 or less. Using the same equipment from this video?
