    a few notes from a professional compositor. Whenever adding still images as a matte painting you need to add back moving grain that matches the original footage. This can be done using a denoiser on the original clip and then overlaying the RAW noise it captured onto the png. I also noticed that some of the fills looks either too sharp or too soft in areas where it came up against the original clip. You could probably fix this by increasing the photoshop file's resolution and selectively blurring/softening it after adding it next to the clip.
    Your results still look really good considering you guys aren't VFX artists. It is really impressive how far AI tools have come in the last year.

      @enricopalazzo2312 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pabloromano6845 Not a VFX/compositing pro either, but you could capture a clean slate i. e. several seconds of still image from a tripod and then extract the temporal noise by subtracting one frame from another. There might even be a matching blend mode (subtract, difference) where you would overlay the clip with itself, but shifted one frame.
      If there is no clean slate available and your noise filter has no "retain only noise" option (which at least some audio noise filters have), you could denoise your clip and the use a subtract/difference blend mode to overlay the denoised clip with the original one.
      That is probably not as efficient and precise as filming a gray card with the exact same camera, settings and under the exact same lighting conditions to get "pure" noise - but for sure it will be more authentic than just slapping some arbitrary film grain onto the clip.
      Perhaps @LFPAnimations can tell us a couple more secrets of the trade.

      No one’s denying it’s not helpful or industry changing. Just that it’s going to put a lot of people out of work in many industries. Last month 40,000 jobs were already lost to ai in the US. It’s already happening and capitalism is not prepared for the mass unemployment ai is going to eventually cause. Even jobs people claim are safe like programming are absolutely not safe, ai is already able to do most website coding and eventually will be able to code 95% of apps and software just based on user prompts.

    I think it is a great tool, and the question comes in whether you film it on location, or the project is such that this is perfectly workable. Filming on a location allows for more dynamics. And like many many many post tools, this could allow you to do a quick pickup shot, or save a shot when budget or time does not allow you to reshoot or do a pickup.

    Oh my god, I was actually a bit stunned at the end that it was actually that good AI voice trained on your voice. I kind of thought the whole narration was a bit "monotone" and flat in it's delivery so I was a bit like "hmmm...okay maybe thats the tone they're aiming for" but didn't expect it to be AI (and I'm quite deep in audio editing, sound design...). Did you use Respeecher for the voice?

    Wow, this video is an absolute game-changer! 🚀 The concept of using AI environments to create amazing videos anywhere is mind-blowing. I've always struggled with finding the perfect locations or dealing with unpredictable weather conditions, but this solution seems like a dream come true.
    The way AI can simulate different environments and backgrounds opens up endless possibilities for creativity. It's fascinating to see how technology is revolutionizing the filmmaking process. This video has truly inspired me to explore new avenues and push the boundaries of my own video production.
    I can already imagine the convenience and flexibility this brings, especially for content creators on the go. Being able to transport yourself to various settings without leaving your studio is incredible. The ability to create professional-looking videos without the need for expensive equipment or travel is a game-changer for aspiring TH-camrs like me.
    I'm really excited to dive deeper into AI environments and experiment with different scenarios. The potential to create immersive storytelling experiences is tremendous. Thank you for sharing this valuable information and empowering creators like us to take our videos to the next level. Keep up the fantastic work! 👍🎥

    Great video! I have been wanting to create a living room set without a couch as the couch (ok, futon) would be practical since I'll be sitting on it. I have tried image searches, but it seems people don't like taking photos of living rooms without couches. I have tried the generative fill a few times, but only have found crazy results. I wouldn't have thought to shoot vertically though. I almost stopped watching in the first few seconds because of the AI voice. It's very good, but I doubt it fooled anybody. I don't have the studio, skill, or equipment you have, but I have been using Photoshop since version 2.5.

    This generative fill definitely opens up possibilities. I'm surprised to see how the AI generated content resolution in a 12K timeline. My understanding is that it produce content 1024 resolution so I guess the trick is to do a basic back plate and then regenerate smaller chunks of it to up the resolution

    • @RavenMobile
      @RavenMobile 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For any AI programs that produce low resolution output, you can then feed that into an image scaling AI to get it up to 4K or 8K or whatever. But a lot of the programs do let you increase the render resolution if you poke around.

    • @marcdevinci893
      @marcdevinci893 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RavenMobile yes lots of upscalers out there designed for various types of images ( photo, anime, digital art etc). but it's tricky when patching up a higher res image and how big of a selection you should make to fill it at the highest resolution available so it also matches the rest of the image.

  • @jolmstead91
    @jolmstead91 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    Cool concept. Seems to have the best results mimicking an indoor "set". With an inoffensive background its a great way to extend a "greenscreen" set for talking-head videos. Still could be challenging to make sure the real-world lighting stays motivated by a fake environment.
    It feels a bit uncanny for the outdoor scenes. The outdoor lighting/shadows were a bit off, and lack of background movement (wind/running water) felt unnatural.

    • @jamesepiclight
      @jamesepiclight 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      totally agree! The generative fill is much better at "real environments" vs the apocalyptic world we tested on this video. One thing that really did surprise us about the generative fill, is most of the time it really tried to keep lighting from the correct direction, color, and hardness. Not perfect but we were consistently impressed how it referenced the image lighting as a whole before generating the new sections.

    • @flickwtchr
      @flickwtchr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jamesepiclight I noticed that as well but only after color correction and other post effects were applied. At first placement the elements have a paste-in feel, as you don't notice the basic continuity of light values. Color correction (continuity) makes so much difference in image editing in general relative to perceived dimensionality, etc.

  • @taidghrichards4329
    @taidghrichards4329 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Very powerful potential, particularly in a studio environment, actually to the point where I think you could forego the creation of a studio and just have a few consistent lighting setups, then you could drop yourself into your already made "photoshop studios".
    Outdoor is where things get a lot harder to make it very realistic as the light is ultimately dynamic rather than static. You can maybe get away with it on a completely clear blue sky or very consistent cloud cover but will only work for a short period of time.
    The voice narration was effective but think it lacked realism as well, and you could quite clearly tell the difference when you were speaking straight to camera, however this is still new and will no doubt seriously improve.

    • @BenEricson
      @BenEricson 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But for that matter... You could just go shoot real plates somewhere and get a much better looking image. I mean there are so many options with static shots.

  • @MykolaDolgalov
    @MykolaDolgalov 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This is amazing. Background scenes are very realistic. I wonder if it's possible to combine this with background blur, and background comression? Also, it is very hard to believe that the voice is generated by AI, it seems to be the same voice as your voice when you speak in front of the camera. What AI tool did you use to train your specific voice and reproduce it so convincingly? Or was it a joke?
