I have a question about alfalfa and beet pulp.
Is the weight of no more then ideally 5 lb of feed when dry? Once soaked the weight and size increases dramatically does that have any effect on how it sits in sits in the gut?

Thank you for your comment, we appreciate hearing from you. Standlee products are measured dry. The reason for this, is that although it looks as if the volume increases, it is just water. For example, if you were to feed the 5lbs dry, your horse would go over to the trough and drink a bunch of water, expanding the beet pulp any way. Soaking beforehand prevents a choking hazard, and is a great safety precaution!
