You're a gifted musician AND teacher too! AND you talk just enough to what is needed! No blah blah like so many other on TH-cam videos who talk way too much… sometimes 10 times more what is needed! BORING! Thank you!
Love your tutorials, man! I just started live gigging solo acoustic and vocals and I have a helix and have been trying to utilize my rc300 with my setup and my voiceplay acoustic pedal - I think I can figure it out now thanks to you!
My Boss RC-300 came yesterday and I am really glad I found your videos. They will be of great help and I will be back from time to time to revisit what you have shown us. The one main song that I will try the looper for is Don Henley's Boys of Summer...it has three main licks that would be awesome for this looper...not to mention how you have used it also (I will try this once I get really comfortable with the basics). Thanks very much again, and look forward to more videos.
I just watched all your tutorials. I have a questions but first, what fantastic teaching and quality. I feel like trying looping again. I had such simple, basic questions, and little patience. Your concise, clear, to the point videos answered most of my questions. I have one more question I can't find anywhere. Could the RC 300 be used as an effects board in a live setting, regardless of the looping capabilities? Thank you for everything.
Hmmm. I was never satisfied with the effects of the RC300. Neither the vocal nor the guitar effects. Thats why I always used a vocal effect and a guitar board. To my opinion the RC300 is a pretty mighty looper. But nothing else.
Thanks for the tutorials! I just got a rc-300 so this is super helpful. How do you go about connecting it with your Helix? I am thinking of using the send/return at the end if my signal chain. Any thoughts or tips?
Hi Andrew, I run my guitar signal into the Helix. From there I got in stereo to the RC-300. The reason is, that I want to record the guitar signal with all the effects. Therefore I don't use the send/return channel
@@LoopsunlimitedDe Thanks for the great tip. I will give that a try. I've been using the send/return and it hasn't given the results I would have thought 😀
Hello. I think what you do as teacher is amazing. Good job!1 I do have a question though. I was buying and was in between The Voicelive 3 and the Boss Rc 300. I see that you use both. my question. if you have the VL3 already, what do you really need the RC 300. Doesn't do basically the same the same? Thank you!
Comparing the VL3 and the RC-300 is hard. To me the VL3 is a great voice processor. It's got all the effects I need on my vocal channel. (EQ, Comp, Reverb). In addition it has a absolutely fantastic processor for vocal harmonies. That's what I use it for. The looping functions aswell as the gutar effects are in there too. But to me they are not relevant, because the RC-300 has l lot more funktions and the Helix is the better guitar processor. So if there had been a VL3 without Looping and guitar effects I would have bought that. But to other people the VL3 could be the better solution, because it's all in one. When I think of my setup, having just one device would be great too....
Thanks for the tutorial better than boss itself! It would be great if you could run down the plug-ins on the back and how you routing everything to your mixer versus mics and instruments
Question: In timeframe 01:12 - 01:19 you say the looper is recording everything going through the mic. Don't you mean listening and outputting to mixer/speakers? Not actually recording, right? Because I'd have to use one of the 3 looper track switches to start and stop recording. Thanks.
When the Looper is in Play mode it will pick up the sound and output it to the FOH. When you press Record in one Track for example the guitar, the looper will record what comes through the mic too. Could be noise...
What is your name or email address? I will add you to our RC300 community. Your knowledge deserves a much wider audience. Awesome man! You are far out!
Hi! The footswitch is a little DIY projekt. Since I found nothing suitable I bulit it. It is just a aliminum case, a simple footwitch and to XLR sockets. As long as you use dynamic mics (without 48V phantom power) you do not have problems with popping noise. Simple, cheap and effective!
Sure! You just need some kind of mixing console. Please check out HowToLoop #11. There I explain how I route my backing mic and the handsonic. The same thing would work for you too.
Well I'm f***** I think I'm going to put my rc30 out in the garbage can. I've had it for a year and haven't used it and now that I watched this guy while he went through and how is using it now I know why I haven't used it ain't that smart
I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for your tutorials!! I play solo/looping fulll-time and you helped me IMMENSELY with figuring out the 300.
I just bought RC300. Your tutorial is the best of best! Keep on going. I will follow you.

Great video! Loved the song and in particular the lyrics! 😎 Peace

Omg amazing what a great tutorial. Definitely seems a bit hard for a beginning like me to get started laid out the main problems to consider thanks!

Very cool demo 👍😉
Is it necessary to have a voice live and a mixer? Or is it possible to only loop with mic looper and amp

Thanks you for watching
Thank you Stefan for your videos! You can mute RC300 mic via external pedal by assign target to INPUT MIC SWITCH.
Oh cool! I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the tipp.

Thanks again. I appreciate the effort. Good job!
Thanks!
GREAT!!! your videos are amazing!!!
Thank you so much!
This is so cooooooool omg 😭😭😭😭😭🙌🏻
Any budget mixer suggestions to accomplish this?

whats the brand of the muting switch? :) Thanks!
This is a DIY switch. Just a aluminium case, a simple foot switch and two XLR connectors. For dynamic mics that works great.
Thanks for the idea :)
