  • The Bahá'í Faith teaches that the purpose of life is to know and worship God, to acquire virtues and perfections, to promote the oneness of humanity, and to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization. This is accomplished through living a spiritual and ethical life, serving others, and participating in the community and in the advancement of society.
In the Bahá'í Faith, service refers to the act of working to improve the lives of others and to promote the betterment of society. This can take many forms, such as volunteering, participating in community building activities, promoting education and literacy, working for social and economic development, and advocating for the equality and rights of all people. The Bahá'í Faith emphasizes that service is an integral part of spiritual development and that it should be performed with a spirit of love and detachment from personal gain.
